The Ogden Trust is recruiting for a Programme Officer to support the delivery of our informal science learning programmes across England, working with universities and employers.

The Ogden Trust is a charitable Trust, supporting the teaching and learning of physics.  The Trust supports a range of initiatives, programmes and projects to promote the teaching and learning of physics.

The Programme Officer will report to the Programme Manager for the Opportunities for All strand of the Ogden strategy, which includes our work with universities to support physics outreach and public engagement and physics-related internships for 16-18-year-olds. They will manage the administrative and reporting side of the programmes, and organise related events.

Who we are looking for

You will need to have a good understanding of the informal science learning landscape and higher education in England and an interest in physics in particular. You must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with outreach professionals, academics and employers in physics-related sectors.

An excellent team player, you will have experience of working in programme administration and events organisation, with strong communication and organisational skills. A track record of building successful working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, particularly higher education and industry and the ability to work on your own initiative are valuable.

Job purpose:

 The role has two distinct areas of responsibility:

  Provide administrative and logistical support for the smooth running of the London office (70%). Administrative assistance for the general operations of the Trustees, including coordination of Board meetings (30%), although this may vary on a day-to-day basis.

Roles and responsibilities:

Office Administration and logistical support (70%)

· Proactively ensure that the office functions well and efficiently, maintaining office equipment and stocks of office supplies within budget.

· Act as the primary contact for visitors and phone inquiries. Manage the general inquiries email inbox and other shared email accounts.

· Be the main point of contact for office maintenance, security, and building management. Communicate with the landlord to promptly and efficiently address any related issues.

· Ensure office procedures are kept up-to-date and communicated to staff.

· Coordinate the preparation and production of business cards and ID cards for staff

· Develop and uphold Saferworld (UK)’s list of trusted suppliers, regularly reviewing and adjusting as necessary in alignment with Saferworld’s procurement policy.

· Add, update and maintain the UK Asset online asset register

· Identify opportunities to improve administrative systems and processes and proactively collaborate to redesign them.

· Collaborate closely with the Global People and Operations teams and ICT to assist in the onboarding and offboarding processes for new staff in our London office.

· Assist with renewing global insurance policies and provide administrative support for handling claims, including coordinating with staff and the insurance claims team as necessary.

· Coordinate with the IT team to set up new employees, ensuring the provision of company IT equipment aligns with internal policies.

· Provide administrative support to staff when visiting the UK, including providing visa support letters and making travel bookings in the UK for visiting staff and partners.

· Provide support with the organisational Travel Management Company (TMC), including setting up staff profiles and offering booking guidance.

· Monitor staff travel plans for ICT equipment movement.

· Manage Saferworld's organisational contacts database, including contact import, tagging, and deduplication, in compliance with UK GDPR legislation.

· Maintain an organised and effective filing structure within the internal SharePoint sites where relevant

Management team administrative support (30%)

· Provide administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer when required.

· Assist in preparing and coordinating management team, UK and Saferworld Europe Board meetings, and other committee and leadership meetings. This includes handling documentation, logistical arrangements, ICT setup for remote participation, and supporting travel bookings and expense claims.

· Manage the global Saferworld calendar, ensuring everyone is informed of events and meetings as necessary.

· Undertake miscellaneous tasks as requested by the CEO, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to support organisational needs effectively.

The role

The Customer Support Executive role is responsible for assisting both internal and external stakeholders through out every action taken. This role is required to have in depth knowledge of all FareShare Go, and FareShare Uk’s policies and procedures, our various systems and platforms, excellent communication and analytical skills and a can-do attitude. The Customer Support Executive is the face of FareShare to our partner organisations, answering inbound queries to identify not only the issue but the root cause of the problem, and are responsible for seeing this through until the underlying cause has either been resolved or escalated to a stakeholder to investigate. About the role

We are seeking a professional, caring and sensitive Positive Behaviour Practitioner to join our committed Therapy Team. Following the therapeutic model of positive behaviour, you will work as an autonomous practitioner to support our children, learners and residents with epilepsy and complex learning difficulties across St Elizabeth’s.

This rewarding role will see you be responsible for the formulation of individual behaviour support plans, ensuring your caseload is effectively managed at all times. To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional qualification but also experience of working with young people with varying degrees of learning disabilities and who have complex diagnosis.

You will have a motivational approach and able to influence your fellow colleagues in working with young people who present behaviour that is challenging. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of best practice in positive behaviour support, de-escalation, crisis management and physical interventions, with the ability to plan and work through complex issues.

CPRE, the Countryside Charity, was founded almost 100 years ago with the aims of the ‘conservation of what is beautiful and interesting in our countryside and towns and villages; and the encouragement of the right type of development’. Today these words are just as relevant as when they were written in the 1920s and we campaign for good planning, protection from inappropriate development and the enhancement of nature and accessibility in our green spaces.

CPRE Kent is an independent charity, federated with more than 40 CPRE county branches and the national CPRE organisation, giving us local, regional and national reach. The Director will work with our trustees, staff and network of volunteers to formulate local strategy, run local campaigns and liaise with national CPRE.

We are looking for an exceptional individual who can work with and motivate volunteers, take a strategic view on issues affecting Kent’s countryside and represent CPRE at County and National forums and via social, local and national media. The role also involves management of the staff team.

We are looking to fill a full-time post at a salary of circa £55k per annum. However, we would be prepared to consider appointing a 4-day-per-week post at a pro rata salary.
