Research Engagement and Involvement Coordinator

As a Research Engagement and Involvement Co-ordinator, you will support public and patient involvement and engagement activities across the MND Association's research programme. You will help coordinate key initiatives, including the Community Research Advisory Network and EnCouRage, ensuring people affected by motor neurone disease (MND) can contribute to research in meaningful and inclusive ways.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate webinars, workshops, events, podcasts and other engagement activities that connect researchers and the MND community
• Support the delivery of public and patient involvement and engagement activities across the research programme
• Help coordinate research participation opportunities through the Take Part in Research webpage
• Provide administrative support for meetings, communications and documentation
• Co-produce engagement resources with people affected by MND
• Support focus groups, surveys and other activities that gather community perspectives
• Work with colleagues across teams to promote consistent and accessible communications
• Maintain accurate records, evaluation data and reports, ensuring compliance with data protection requirements

About You

Essential

• Graduate calibre or equivalent experience, ideally in biological sciences, public engagement or communications
• Experience supporting public engagement or involvement activities
• Experience working with diverse communities or in people-focused roles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Confidence using a range of digital tools, systems and online platforms
• Knowledge of public and patient involvement and engagement practices

Desirable

• Ability to communicate scientific or technical information clearly and accurately
• Experience coordinating events or delivering workshops
• Understanding of health research or neuroscience

Hybrid working Expectations: 1 day per week in our Northampton office
