RSPB Scotland are looking for two dynamic administrators to join the friendly Glasgow office team and play your part in delivering RSPB's objectives within areas rich in wildlife and important for people - if this sounds like the job for you, we would love to hear from you. Although you will be based at the Glasgow office, many aspects of the role can be carried out remotely, so there is flexibility to work from home on occasion.

About you

We are looking for someone who pays attention to detail but is also able to take a flexible and pragmatic approach. You will be solutions-focused and astute at juggling a variety of tasks. You'll be great at building effective relationships with a wide range of people, while ensuring that confidential and sensitive matters are handled appropriately. You will be provided with opportunities to develop new skills and build on existing areas of expertise.

We need someone to assist us in the management of business information and data held in RSPB systems, currently stored across network drives, OneDrive, Teams and recently SharePoint.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications will therefore be essential.

You will be well organised and able to prioritise your workload effectively to deliver solutions within set timescales. A team player who does what they say they will.

Essential Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (especially Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams)
• Knowledge of document management and team collaboration tools
• Proactive approach to problem solving
• Able to communicate and engage effectively with a wide range of audiences whether by phone, email or in person
• Able to organise and coordinate all aspects of a meeting or event logistics
• Able to prioritise and delegate tasks effectively, particularly when under pressure from competing priorities
• Experience of working in an office or customer care environment in an administrative role
• You have at least 5 GCSE's (or equivalent), including Maths and English

Job Title: Housing Support Worker

Location: Luton, floating support service based within the office and around different locations within the community

Salary: £24,500

Shift Pattern: 12 month fixed term contract, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00. You may be required to work outside these hours as necessary to service requirements.

About the role

This is an exciting new role within a brand new contract to support the referral process from the Housing Solutions teams! The service focuses on providing floating and wraparound support to single applicants who are at risk of homelessness and are able to live independently, by providing a housing support plan towards resolving housing needs and support them into long-term, stable housing.

In this role, you will conduct proactive outreach with our participants to develop personalised support plans for housing for appropriate long-term housing options, including accessing private rental listings and understanding application processes for tenancy. You will help our participants navigate the resources available to them including benefits and support services, advocating for their needs whilst empowering them to take ownership of their housing journey. You will work closely with the Landlord Liaison Officer who bridges the gap between our participants and private landlords. You will work closely with them to achieve prevention and relief outcomes by assisting the participant to remain in their provided accommodation. 

You will provide follow up support to ensure tenancy sustainment and successful transitions into permanent housing, keeping casefiles up to date with activities and documents, and escalating any high risks or high needs to the management team.

About you

This role is ideal for someone who has a real passion towards helping to end the cycle of homelessness, providing support to those who need it to live in stable accommodation. You will thrive in a person centred environment with real compassion and a non-judgmental attitude, understanding that people face different life experiences and sometimes just need that extra support to get back on their feet. The Fundraising Data Specialist is an exciting role managing the Trust’s supporter database and ancillary systems. Whilst undertaking data analysis the role helps provide insights to inform trust wide decision-making, particularly for fundraising, engagement and supporter development.

The Key Responsibilities and Tasks for the Fundraising Data Specialist are:

Responsibility 1: Database Management

• Act as Database superuser (Raiser’s Edge), demonstrating an expert level of knowledge and providing technical support, training and advice to all areas of the organisation.
• Ensure a high standard of data input and adherence to processes and procedures, including compliance with GDPR legislation, Direct Debit rules and HMRC guidance.
• Oversee the effectiveness of the CRM
• Identify and suggest Database improvements that will support the organisation in maximising its potential.
• Support the addition of new data onto the CRM from other departments – share principles on best practice to ensure all data remains clean.
• Manage the ongoing roll out of CRM automated journeys, including e-communications and cost saving initiatives.
• Work with consultants and external organisations to continue active development of the CRM including the project management of current and future systems integrations, and the cost analysis against business needs.

Responsibility 2: Analysis and Reporting

• Extract and manipulate data to undertake insightful analysis to segment and identify key trends and behaviours to enable ongoing organisational development, including membership, appeals and engagement. Prepare clear written reports as needed.
• Create dashboards and reports to help team better understand and make decisions relating to their work. E.g. Using Power BI to process data and create dashboards.

Responsibility 3: Financial Processing

• Co-ordinate the processing of accurate monthly Gift Aid and Direct Debit claims according to an agreed timetable. Ensure all Direct Debit and HMRC rules are complied with.
• Liaise with Finance to assist with the reconciliation of financial data and troubleshoot any issues arising.
• Support the Fundraising team with Gift Aid best practice, including managing the integrity of current Gift Aid records and auditing past records

The Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC) is a vibrant and growing charity delivering life changing nautical adventure for young people through the Sea Cadets to give them the best possible head start in life. We also provide personal and professional development opportunities for seafarers with the Marine Society. Working with our staff, cadets, and volunteers, we have built a vision and five-year strategy to take us forward and further improve the astounding contribution already made through our work to the lives of thousands of young people and seafarers, while fully supporting our volunteers who are vital to our success.

We are currently looking for an OTW Project Assistant who will support the delivery of the On The Water project at one of our boating stations in Birmingham. The project provides young people from outside Sea Cadets, age 9-14, the opportunity to get on the water, learn new skills and build confidence through boating activity. This is a very varied and rewarding role that requires someone who is self-motivated, inspiring, organized, creative, tenacious, positive, IT competent and with a real interest in people with a attention to detail and real enthusiasm for the project.

Project delivery takes place between 29 July 2024 and 30 August 2025 when the young people will be attending boating sessions. During this busy time the Project Assistant will be based at the boat station each day to complete registration, manage group change overs, track project targets, encourage survey completion and fill booking gaps. Prior to delivery the role will be focused on supporting the booking process and engaging in community outreach. Once delivery is complete, the Project Assistant role will then predominantly be supporting the evaluation and data collection as well as supporting participants to join their local Sea Cadet unit.

Key Responsibilities

• The welcoming and registration of participants for the On The Water project
• Collecting and uploading daily statistics and figures that show how the project is progressing
• Making new and repeat bookings
• Talking to participants and their parents/carers about the opportunities within Sea Cadets
• Managing a waiting list and reducing drop-outs
• Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of participants alongside the Boat Station staff
• Ensure that participants complete surveys to share their experience of the project and encourage adults to feedback on their young people’s experience
• Attend any meetings as required by the project
• Assist with the evaluation of the On The Water project

Working with our staff, cadets, and volunteers, we have built a vision and five-year strategy to take us forward and further improve the astounding contribution already made through our work to the lives of thousands of young people and seafarers, while fully supporting our volunteers who are vital to our success.

We are currently looking for an OTW Project Assistant who will support the delivery of the On The Water project at one of our boating stations in London. The project provides young people from outside Sea Cadets, age 9-14, the opportunity to get on the water, learn new skills and build confidence through boating activity. This is a very varied and rewarding role that requires someone who is self-motivated, inspiring, organised, creative, tenacious, positive, IT competent and with a real interest in people with a attention to detail and real enthusiasm for the project.

Project delivery takes place between 29 July 2024 and 30 August 2025 when the young people will be attending boating sessions. During this busy time the Project Assistant will be based at the boat station each day to complete registration, manage group change overs, track project targets, encourage survey completion and fill booking gaps. Prior to delivery the role will be focused on supporting the booking process and engaging in community outreach. Once delivery is complete, the Project Assistant role will then predominantly be supporting the evaluation and data collection as well as supporting participants to join their local Sea Cadet unit.

Key Responsibilities

• The welcoming and registration of participants for the On The Water project
• Collecting and uploading daily statistics and figures that show how the project is progressing
• Making new and repeat bookings
• Talking to participants and their parents/carers about the opportunities within Sea Cadets
• Managing a waiting list and reducing drop-outs
• Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of participants alongside the Boat Station staff
• Ensure that participants complete surveys to share their experience of the project and encourage adults to feedback on their young people’s experience
• Attend any meetings as required by the project
• Assist with the evaluation of the On The Water project

Requirements

• Previous experience of working with volunteers

• Experience in a customer facing role
• Experience working with young people
• Experience working with diverse community groups or working in outreach
• Experience of tracking targets and managing data
• Self-motivated and able to manage your time and workload effectively
• Flexible and enthusiastic
• Able to work as a team player with creative ideas and solutions who will empower our volunteers to make a difference to the lives of even more young people across the UK

We are looking for a Senior Care Assistant with experience in care homes, adult health, social care, or community settings. Evidence of professional development in dementia care is essential. You will inspire care teams to provide compassionate, high-quality support tailored to each resident’s needs. Key responsibilities of the role:

- Manage shifts effectively to ensure everything runs smoothly and that care is always a top priority.

- Oversee medication administration and ensure it’s done safely and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Work with course designers to develop new, and maintain existing, elearning and media content.
• Translate storyboards into interactive learning content, creating activities, graphics, animations, audio and videos, using tools such as Articulate (Storyline and Rise), Canva, H5P, Murf and Adobe.
• Ensure learning meets development guidelines, and is accessible, functional and engaging.
• Integrate learning content to create courses on our learning management system (Moodle).
• Test learning content, including using screen readers and other accessibility software.
• Help to maintain the guidelines for course development.
• Support the day-to-day administration of the Sea Cadets learning management environment
• Cultivate strong working relationships across multiple teams (internal and external)
• Stay up to date with latest system upgrades and advise on their potential impact on existing or new courses

Requirements

• eLearning development experience ( e.g. tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise, or similar)
• Experience in media creation for graphics, sound and video editing.
• Good MS Office skills

Desirable

• Experience using Teams and SharePoint
• Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
• LMS Administration experience (our platform is based on Moodle, Mahara and Alfresco but other LMS skills will be transferable)
