Fauna & Flora is seeking a highly experienced professional to manage it’s fundraising from a portfolio of statutory (government and multilateral) donors, such as Defra, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service etc.

You will support colleagues and partners to develop high-quality proposal packages for priority donors, and ensure their timely submission. You will coordinate proposals and reporting internally, and ensure all documents produced for donors meet their criteria, as well as follow Fauna & Flora approval and submission procedures. There is a strong capacity development element to this work, and you will share knowledge, learning and resources across Fauna & Flora to maximise success rate and promote best practice in grant management and donor stewardship. You may also develop and deliver training packages, in Cambridge and potentially overseas. You will monitor Fauna & Flora’s activities in statutory fundraising and fund management within your portfolio, and support internal decision-making and strategy development by sharing this learning.

Experience of working with government funding sources, be they bilateral and/or multilateral, is essential for this role. You will have proven experience of securing restricted funding from government sources, and a strong understanding of how statutory donors and funding programmes support the achievement of international targets and government priorities. Knowledge of and experience in biodiversity conservation, the development sector, and/or climate is an asset; a commitment to learning and supporting these sectors is essential. You may have worked in the non-profit sector, such as international development, or have a background in bid management, proposal development, and grant fundraising.

Strong relationship-management and communications skills are essential to the role, to develop positive, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regional teams, non-governmental partners, and government agencies. You will be diplomatic and persuasive, and your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to coordinate people and processes to meet timelines. You will be a strong team player and enjoy working in a dynamic environment where the ability to respond swiftly to changing organisational and team needs is paramount. With a proactive and pre-emptive approach to your work, you will seek to add value and work with minimal supervision.

Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Skills in languages relevant to Fauna & Flora’s programme (e.g., French, Spanish, Bahasa) are highly desirable. Sensitivity to the different working environments and capacities of colleagues around the world is also essential.

The Role

You will manage voids and lettings, ensuring the scheme is maintained and being responsible for tenant engagement and involvement. Requirements:

• Substantial experience of supporting vulnerable people
• Knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting older people.

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Basic health and safety knowledge as well as food hygiene issues is beneficial.

About the Role

The Insight Manager is responsible for transforming a wide range of data and information into insights and learning. This insight is used internally to continuously improve casework and is shared externally, with a variety of stakeholders.

You will use your knowledge to explain not just what the data tells us, but to present hypotheses about why it is what it is and what may happen next. Your role will include providing oral briefings to colleagues, but most of your work requires written communication.

You will ensure that the organisation is able to respond quickly to requests for information about the impact of its work, using your understanding of the Higher Education (HE) sector.

The role requires a highly collaborative approach, as it maintains a continuous link between casework, outreach and insight, public policy, senior leadership, and communications functions.

About You

As the Data and Insight Manager, you will excel in providing clear summaries of complex information, making appropriate use of different formats and images to communicate insights clearly, and working with communications colleagues to adapt and tailor this to different audiences.

You will have:

• Knowledge of the HE sector and of the political environment as it relates to tertiary education in the UK.
• Experience of using data to identify trends, themes, patterns and exceptions. Experience of explaining complex information simply, in writing.

The role
You will:

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to cover parental leave. 

The successful candidate will have accountability for several key areas of operational delivery of BITC’s programmes across England, Scotland and Wales. This role will ensure the high quality and consistency of performance through these aspects of operational delivery and development, working closely with businesses, internal stakeholders and external partners. This role is responsible for leading and managing a high-performing team, delivering programmes and contractual obligations across their patch. The post holder will lead on driving programme/contractual performance (both KPI’s and financial) motivating and inspiring the team.  They will also have responsibility for ensuring continued funding from key partners and securing new income; monitoring and reporting on this important activity as it contributes to BITC's vision within a set geographical area or programme/project areas.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of:

· Managing the delivery of contract and programmes to meet contractual obligations

· Working with business, schools and/or community organisations to create beneficial relationships

· Providing leadership, motivation and development for a dispersed team to achieve excellent results for businesses and beneficiaries

· Securing funding for impact programmes

This is a fixed term contract for approximately 10 months to cover parental leave. 

The location is flexible - candidates can be based at home or at their nearest BITC office.

The salary level for this role reflects the contractual location and the programme funding.  The salary range is £33,120 to 41,000 per annum (regional) and £36,225 to £44,000 London office based.

We are seeking a skilled HR Manager to oversee human resources functions across Field Lane. We are looking for someone with thorough understanding of HR Policy and Procedures and relevant regulation in health and social care. As the HR Manager you will consistently deliver a pro-active and professional HR service to the business through developing effective partnerships with project leads & Senior Management.

Responsibilities: 

Recruitment & Selection 
 
The role of HR Manager will review all recruitment processes and practices to ensure all vacancies are filled in the most cost efficient way and within the shortest time possible. The HR function will be responsible for identifying effective and appropriate recruitment methods for all vacancies. 
 
Employee Relations 
 

• Taking a lead whilst advising and supporting managers on all Employee Relations issues, including performance management; sickness & absence; disciplinary & grievance procedures. 
   

• Ensuring the grievance and disciplinary procedures are adhered to by all staff and to empower the Operations Team to undertake investigations & hearings.  
   

• Experience of reviewing current practices and where needed looking at standardized practices.   
   

• Reviewing and updating the equality and diversity strategy, making recommendations on best practice and legislation. 
   

• To monitor staff turnover and ensuring that exit interviews are carried out, analysing and reporting on findings. 
   

Management Responsibility

Staff Training & Development 
 
Collaborate with senior managers to identify and develop staff training needs and where possible implement effective training programs.

Visitor Experience Manager
Location: Slimbridge
Salary: £34,405 per annum
Contract: Permanent

This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 including weekends and bank holidays.

Slimbridge Wetland Centre is looking for a Visitor Experience Manager to lead both our paid and volunteer teams, champion cross departmental working and achieve an inspiring and engaging visitor experience.

Working with the General Manager, you will ensure that visitor experience is at the forefront of everything we do, including how we engage with our visitors before, during and after their visit.

As our Visitor Experience Manager, you will lead and support our Learning, Engagement & Events, Visitor Services and Administration teams. You are responsible for conveying a warm welcome at the admissions desk and the business reception, delivering events & engagement programmes throughout the centre and overseeing formal learning, and the Scott House Museum.

You will also act as duty manager on a rota basis ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day activities within the centre, communicating to all on site the expectations of the day.

To ensure the smooth running of the sales floor and main office to offer a high-quality service to donators and customers.

Main Responsibilities

1. Serving customers, dealing with enquiries, arranging delivery when necessary

3. Arranging for approved donations of furniture to be collected
