Executive Assistant & Support Officer to the CEO


We are delighted to share this new and exciting opportunity for an Executive Assistant & Support Officer to the CEO to join a dynamic organisation.

Position: Executive Assistant & Support Officer to the CEO
Location: Holyoake House, Manchester (Hybrid – minimum 3 days per week in the office)
Salary: £27,004 to £34,577 per annum (subject to experience)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

Closing Date: Midnight, Sunday 8th June 2025
Interviews: Week commencing 23rd June 2025, in Manchester

About the role:
As Executive Assistant & Support Officer to the CEO, you will play a critical and high-trust role at the heart of the organisation. You’ll provide advanced administrative support and help drive forward strategic projects, enabling the CEO to lead effectively and efficiently. From managing a busy schedule to coordinating national and international engagements, your organisational skills and attention to detail will be essential in supporting our mission.

Key responsibilities include:
• Managing complex diaries, meetings, and travel arrangements
• Coordinating correspondence, reports, presentations, and briefings
• Reviewing and managing the CEO’s inbox, flagging priority items
• Preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action points
• Maintaining filing systems and supporting governance processes
• Supporting project delivery and coordinating with research teams
• Providing logistical and administrative support for international representation
• Acting as a communications bridge between the CEO and staff
• Supporting the wider Leadership Team as needed

About you:
To succeed in this role, you will be highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. You’ll thrive on supporting others and delivering excellence behind the scenes.

You will also have:
• Significant experience of varied administrative responsibilities
• Experience of complex diary/email management and task prioritisation
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Critical thinking skills and a proactive, solutions-focused attitude
• Highly proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office
• A commitment to co-operative values and professional integrity
