Hours: Full or part-time considered. Full-time = 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Part-time must be minimum of 21 hours over 3 days/week
Location: Remote in the UK, or CAKLC office based: Gravesend, Dartford, Swanley, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge or Tunbridge Wells. Some travel will be needed on occasion within Kent for meetings with colleagues and clients. There will be scope for 1-2 days/week home working, dependent on needs of the service.
Do you have experience delivering debt advice and want to help people overcome financial difficulties and build a more secure future?
We’re expanding our specialist debt team to meet growing demand for our services. Every day, we support people facing debt, financial hardship and crisis, helping them understand their options, resolve complex issues and improve their financial wellbeing.
As a Debt Adviser, you’ll provide high-quality debt advice and casework, working with clients by telephone, video and in person. You’ll help people explore their options, negotiate solutions, maximise income and access the support they need to move forward confidently.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience delivering debt advice at casework level
- Strong communication and client advocacy skills
- The ability to manage a varied caseload and achieve positive outcomes
- A commitment to empowering people and improving access to justice
