As Railway Children’s Community Engagement Worker (London), you will energise key stakeholders to come together to collectively keep vulnerable young people safe on the rail network. You will build and strengthen partnerships with – and between – the rail industry, British Transport Police (BTP) and others working locally with vulnerable young people in order to drive forward innovative approaches to contextual safeguarding.
As part of a dynamic team delivering the Safeguarding on Transport (ST) project, you will be responsible for developing our community engagement work in the London Area as well as supporting our wider UK programme. The role will require you to engage the public and work closely with British Transport Police, station staff and employees as well as local services in the area. You will support our innovative Safeguarding Action Groups that catalyse communities working in and around London’s stations to combine efforts and resources to keep people safe.
Your engaging manner, strong people skills and experience managing stakeholder relationships will ensure that you are able to help create a safer rail network that is actively seeking to look out for and protect vulnerable young people.
This is a London based role that will combine a blend of working from home with being out meeting members of the community across London - especially in and around some of London's busiest stations.

As Regional Manager you will represent, manage and co-ordinate FoodCycle meals for your allocated regional Projects. Our Projects are spaces where volunteers are empowered to run their own community meals using surplus food. You will manage local relationships with venues, community partners, supermarkets and volunteer recruitment channels to enable this to happen. You will continually be looking to increase our impact by working towards targets of increased meals served to our guests, expanding our existing Projects and setting up new ones within East Midlands.
An excellent communicator, you will manage the volunteers at each Project ensuring they are trained, supported and on-message with FoodCycle strategy. You will have experience of recruiting and managing volunteers, as well as programme development and delivery.
This role will require some attendance at our Community Meals projects, to support with delivery as necessary, which will include evening and weekend work. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this exciting role.

Your role will involve diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues. You will also advocate for the use of both current and emergent technologies, as well as facilitating the training of our team to effectively utilise these tools.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support to users by responding to helpdesk queries via phone, email, or in person.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
- Manage our IT Ticketing systems in Monday
- Escalate complex problems to the appropriate IT support teams, both internally and externally.
- Maintain accurate records of helpdesk interactions, resolutions, and follow-up actions.
- Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware and software as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance IT systems and processes.
- Contribute to the development of user guides and knowledge base articles.
- Collaborate with the business support team to streamline IT hardware procurement processes and co-develop better working practices, maintain an equipment log, manage the refreshment of returned laptops, and oversee telephone service, reviewing contracts for efficiency and fit.
- Assist with helping to codesign the on/off boarding of new/leaving members of staff and help manage the resulting tasks including data protection actions.
- Assist with new software rollouts in both their configuration and in staff training.
- Help introduce new digital tools within the organisation and improve adoption and usage. This will involve matching needs and running pilots, change and embedding processes.
- Work with external providers to ensure a high quality of service is maintained in the organisation.
- Create and manage a set of standard guidelines for using our digital tools effectively, and devise ways to promote their use. Additionally, manage the training programme that support these tools adoption.
- Support the CTO as required in any duties which you could be reasonably expected to perform in line with this job description.

About the Role
This role will support the development and delivery of the RSPB’s UK carbon partnerships and reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Partnerships. You will provide critical expertise and capacity needed to engage with business, driving significant income growth and reaching challenging targets.
You will work closely with Senior Programme Manager – Carbon Finance as well as with colleagues across Conversation Investment, Business Conservation Advice, and the wider Business Engagement function to secure high-value corporate partnerships which will have a significant impact in the fight against the dual nature and climate crisis.
You will play a leading role in the development and delivery of the overall sales strategy for business engagement and the conservation investment pipeline projects and to secure partnerships and blended finance models with a particular focus on carbon markets in the UK. The HALO Trust are looking for an experienced and driven Philanthropy and Grants Manager to lead and develop high value relationships with philanthropic donors, with a focus on Trust and Foundations (and potentially corporates).
The Global Philanthropy Team works to secure support for the delivery of vital projects to save lives and protect livelihoods in conflict affected countries around the world, as well as build organisational resilience and support innovative areas of work. HALO’s philanthropic income has grown significantly in recent years, driven by introductions from our network of trustees, ambassadors and advocates and our focus on strategic and transformational partnerships. About the role:
The HALO Trust has more than doubled in size over the last eight years by growing support from both Governments and philanthropic donors. Global income from philanthropic donors (including the US) has significantly increased over the past five years – from circa £4 million to £15 million in 2022/23 and reaching a further peak of £44 million in 2023/24 in response to exceptional donor support for Ukraine. Job Responsibilities:
- Lead growth within a portfolio of high value (six and potentially seven figure) relationships by providing excellence in supporter stewardship and through the development and delivery of relationship strategies, in collaboration with the Director of Philanthropy and Head of Global Grant Partnerships
- Support senior HALO staff, advocates and trustees to engage and inspire individuals linked to agreed relationships
- Work with international programme teams to ensure the development of high-quality proposals and reports to tight deadlines

Essential Requirements:
- Three years' experience of personally leading successful relationships with high value philanthropic donors (Trust and Foundations, corporates or high net worth individuals or equivalent), including those giving at the six or seven figure level
- Experience of building effective relationships with advocates linked to philanthropic donors
- An excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships with staff and colleagues in different cultural environments
- Outstanding written skills with the ability to work with programme and finance colleagues to design robust project proposals, reporting, and monitoring and evaluation
- Confident in working with financial information including project budgets
- Excellent written and verbal skills with strong attention to detail
- Outstanding interpersonal skills including ability to demonstrate tact, sophistication and gravitas
- Experience of working with a fundraising database to maximise relationship development

The Role
As Philanthropy Manager, you will be contributing towards the ambitious plans to further increase reach and impact over the next three years. This role presents an opportunity to manage and grow the philanthropic income, including leading on the development of the Major Donor programme/s.

Hours:
This is a temporary 12 month maternity cover, full-time position over Monday to Friday.
From 1st July 2024 we are piloting a four day working week across the whole of the UK organisation. This pilot is planned to run for 12 months, at which point a decision will be made by our Board of Trustees as to whether this will become permanent. Success of the trial relies on the organisation being able to achieve the same or improved level of impact in four working days as five, with staff experiencing either the same or improved levels of wellbeing.
During the four day week pilot, working hours for this position will be reduced to 30 hours per week, spanning Monday to Thursday, with no reduction in salary. This will be a temporary change to the contractual terms for the successful candidate. The appointed person must be prepared to increase their working hours to 37.5 hours per week if a return to a five-day working week is decided. In the event that THL UK considers before the end of the trial period that the trial is having an adverse operational impact, we reserve the right to bring the trial to end on one month’s notice.

Senior Trust Fundraiser
Employer - Kids
Location – Remote working as part of the Fundraising and Engagement Team. This role involves occasional travel to pre-arranged meetings and events with managers, peers, wider teams and current and potential partners.
Salary – £35,000
Hours – 36 (part time considered on request)

Kids is looking for a Senior Trust Fundraiser. This is a fantastic role for an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser looking to take the next step in their career. Working in a supportive and well established team, you will have the autonomy and agency to lead in developing innovative new funding asks working closely with service delivery colleagues. You will manage, maintain and enhance relationships with a portfolio of our existing partners and identify, approach and win the support of new supporters to expand our work. Through working collaboratively across the charity and producing high quality reports to our donors, you will see the tangible impact of your work on the lives of the disabled children and young people supported by the projects you fund.
You will work remotely but be in regular contact with our friendly and supportive team, with experienced colleagues on hand to answer any questions or lend a hand just a call, email or message away.
It’s a great time to join our Fundraising and Engagement team as we grown and diversify our income so that we can reach at least 120,000 disabled children and young people a year by 2027. As part of our Trusts and Foundations team you will work closely with a fellow Senior Trust Fundraiser and the Head of Trust Fundraising to raise vital funds to support Kids work (around £800k team target for this year).

What you will be doing as a Senior Trust Fundraiser:
- You will proactively and strategically develop national and regional funding bids, leading Kids relationships with a varied portfolio of funders.
- You will create and coordinate cross organisational project development groups and manage diverse priorities and input to craft national fundable projects that support the organisational strategies.
- You will build on relationships with existing supporters, working with service delivery staff to evidence impact in narrative and quantitative reports on funded projects and developing strategic applications to secure further support.
- You will ensure there is professional account management for all funders including updating on relevant developments within Kids, and to providing a range of opportunities to engage further with Kids work.
Personal qualities / experience required for the role of Senior Trust Fundraiser:
- You will have a minimum of two years’ experience as a trust fundraiser and a strong understanding of the sector
- You will have excellent written communication skills and the ability to craft coherent and compelling cases for support based on varied and complex information
- You will have an understanding of budgets and feel comfortable fielding questions about charity finances
- You will be confident in managing stakeholder relationships with a varied audience and have the ability to be responsive to different communication preferences and expectations
- You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills plus the ability to correspond with external and internal audiences
- Experience of using Microsoft, Excel and PowerPoint
