The Migraine Trust is the only UK migraine charity providing information and support, campaigning for awareness and change, and funding and promoting research.

One in seven people in the UK live with migraine, and this complex and debilitating neurological disorder significantly affects their lives. We have been leading and bringing the migraine community together to change this since 1965.

Every year we support millions of people through our website and support services on all aspects of migraine and for help in managing it at work, in education, and in accessing healthcare. We campaign for increased awareness and understanding of migraine, and national policy change to improve the lives of people who get it. We have funded over 140 medical research projects and hold an international symposium every two years to bring together the world’s leading experts on migraine.

The role

People living with migraine are at the heart of our organisation, while our research highlights the urgent need to reduce the inequity we see for those living with the condition. You will ensure their voices are heard by decision makers and the public and get closer to our vison of ‘a world where migraine doesn’t stop anyone from living the life they want’.

You should be able to deliver high-impact communication campaigns, and have a real interest in policy. A skilled communicator yourself, you will be able to manage a broad role with the ability to build and nurture relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Overall, you’ll bring a desire to create positive change.

You’ll work closely with the CEO and be a key member of The Migraine Trust’s Senior Management team, leading our strategic direction on communications activity alongside targeted public and political campaigns.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of the organisation’s 2026 policy and communications plans and coordinate the development of plans and budgets for 2027
• Oversee development and delivery of the charity’s policy and public affairs strategy, ensuring a strong evidence base and meaningful involvement of people living with migraine
• Manage work our public affairs agency to deliver targeted influencing projects to improve migraine care, workplace support, and parliamentary engagement
• Shape policy recommendations and develop strategies to engage key stakeholders including parliamentarians, policymakers, clinicians, employers and partner organisations
• Monitor the external policy environment identifying risks, opportunities and emerging issues relevant to migraine
• Work with the team to develop and execute creative and impactful communications campaigns to raise the profile of the charity and tackle misunderstanding around migraine
• Ensure content across all channels – including media, digital, social and publications - is on brand and reflects our values and core messaging
• Ensure our online presence meets the needs of our stakeholders, and is fit-for-purpose for current and future organisational needs
• Oversee production of relevant reports, marketing materials and key publications working with freelance agencies and designers as required
• Work closely with Fundraising colleagues to identify and develop opportunities that support organisational growth
• Ensure all those living with migraine and their voices are central to our policy, campaigning and communications work
• Act as a spokesperson when necessary, representing the charity externally

With an aim of reaching over 200,000 young people per year through our leadership offer by 2028, this role will be integral to ensuring a centre’s journey with the Leadership Skills Foundation is an effortless one.

Having recently settled into our new identity and expanding the portfolio of programmes we have on offer, this role will work closely with our Business Development team, Admin team and Quality Assurance team to ensure that our existing delivery centres are sufficiently supported to forge a sustainable leadership pathway.

We’re looking for someone to adopt a consistent relationship management process to support all staff at existing delivery centres and to on-board new centres. Organisation and efficiency, along with a clear communication style and an ability to effectively manage data are essential skills for this role. This role necessitates that the successful candidate be creative with their ideas to enable the successful relationship management of our centres, while also effectively handling phone calls, emails and queries via an online live chat function.

Role Purpose:

1. Provide appropriate support to centres when they contact the Leadership Skills Foundation.
2. Establish consistent and robust engagement and relationship management practices including logging touch points and interpreting data with a variety of our customers.
3. Respond to centre enquiries, help resolve technical issues and potential issues to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalised support via effective relationship management strategies to support customers with any queries and issues across the customer journey in line with the Customer Experience Strategy.
• Proactively seek opportunities to create and maintain strong working relationships with centres that seek support from the organisation via central communication channels (phone, emails and live chat).
• Provide proactive and customised centre outreach that constantly seeks to elevate the experience of existing centres including recording accurate and timely customer intelligence.
• Resolve programme/service issues, troubleshoot challenges and support centres that are having difficulty accessing resources, registering their course(s) and/or learners.
• Support centres as they work through various policies and procedures. For example, the maintain and withdrawal procedures.
• Support Business Development strategies to meet agreed objectives and budgets.
• Utilise insight and reporting systems (various) to provide analysis and updates in relation to learner registrations and other centre insight metrics.
• Ensure sales planning, pipeline and forecasting exercises are completed on a regular basis, including annual budgeting to maximise learner and programme registration opportunities.
• Any other centre-facing tasks that need completing at various times of the year.
• To carry out any other duties as requested to support the work of the Leadership Skills Foundation commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of the post, for which the post holder has the necessary experience and/or training.

The time commitment will be approximately 2 to 4 panel sessions per year as Vice Chair with a payment rate of £400 per panel, and 4 to 5 sessions as a Panel Member with a payment rate of £200 per panel, plus reasonable expenses incurred. PACT is one of the UK’s leading independent adoption charities, placing children with secure and loving families and supporting them with specialist therapeutic support.

Our external Adoption Panel Members play a vital role at PACT by carefully considering applications from those wishing to become adoptive parents. About the Programme

The Foundation has been awarded a £2.1m grant by the National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF) to deliver a pilot as part of it's Grant Holder Support programme. This pilot, Investing in the Power of Civil Society (IIPCS), will support up to 640 charities across the Northwest, Southwest of England and Yorkshire and Humber . 

Delivered in partnership with eight organisations — IVAR, Groundwork UK and local trusts, CAST, The School for Social Entrepreneurs, NCVO, Voice4Change England, the AVOCADO Foundation and Access (advisory) — the pilot will offer diagnostic-led, tailored and relational support to help organisations strengthen their work.

Support will focus on resilience, environmental impact, readiness for AI and digital technology, enabling participating charities to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing world. With a strong emphasis on equity and access, the pilot is designed to ensure organisations of all sizes and backgrounds can benefit.

We will be using a test-and-learn approach — trying out new ways of supporting charities, learning from what works and what doesn’t, and using those insights to improve future programmes. This approach will help shape NLCF’s future support for both grant holders and grant seekers, strengthen the Foundation and partners’ own development practice, and contribute to wider learning across the sector.

About the Role

As Relationship Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering this new, collaborative pilot programme. You’ll be the key point of contact for grant holders referred into the programme, guiding them through a diagnostic process, co-creating tailored development plans, and connecting them with the right support.

You’ll also work closely with National Lottery Community Fund Funding Officers, helping them make confident and effective referrals. Your work will ensure that learning from these relationships directly informs the future design of the programme and how the UK’s largest non-statutory community funder supports small charities.

This is a highly relational role that requires empathy, curiosity, and a deep understanding of the voluntary sector.

About the opportunity

As an Accounts Assistant focusing on Purchase to Pay, you'll play an important role in delivering a high-performing, efficient financial transactions operation with partnership and improvement at its core. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract offering valuable operational experience and the opportunity to develop your finance skills through mentorship and on-the-job learning.

You'll be part of our Finance & Assurance directorate, reporting to the Purchase to Pay Officer and working alongside other assistants and trainees. Focusing specifically on Purchase to Pay activities, you'll gain broad experience across supplier management, invoice processing, and payment operations.

From recording and processing financial transactions to supporting month-end and year-end processes, you'll monitor daily communications and role-model brilliant partnership and customer service, support reconciliations and audits, and work in an agile way across multiple projects and workstreams.

Our newly created role of Director of Technology will join our Senior Leadership Team, and will be responsible for our technology strategy. This includes leading the Full Stack and IT teams to develop the technology infrastructure that supports RNID’s work, and to develop tools that directly support our communities. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering Lesbian Visibility Week 2026 (LVW). This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project manager to lead a high profile week of events and activities raising awareness and building community for LGBTQIA+ women and non binary people.

Core Responsibilities
 Develop a comprehensive plan and schedule for LVW, coordinating an engaging, inclusive and financially viable programme of events and activities
 Working with the Executive Director to lead on LVW partnerships with all stakeholders, ensuring that clear, timely and accurate communication is employed when dealing with sponsors, event partners, attendees, colleagues, trustees and
other key partners

We will be using a test-and-learn approach — trying out new ways of supporting charities, learning from what works and what doesn’t, and using those insights to improve future programmes.
