Programme Officer
We are seeking an organised Programme Officer to help deliver a transformational fostering programme, supporting services and partners across the UK.
Position: Programme Officer
Salary: £27,953 to £33,130, plus London weighting if applicable
Location: Home based, with regular working from the London office and occasional UK travel
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

About the role
This is an opportunity to support a programme that helps fostering services deliver positive change. Working closely with the programme team, you will coordinate activities, support delivery partners and help ensure a high standard of service across the UK.
Combining project support, event coordination and communications, this varied role will suit someone who enjoys building relationships and keeping activities running smoothly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of programme activities.
- Acting as a first point of contact for partners and stakeholders, providing accurate and timely advice.
- Organising and supporting events and meetings, representing the programme when required.
- Building strong working relationships with local authorities and independent fostering services.
- Coordinating programme communications alongside colleagues in marketing and communications.
- Using programme learning and evaluation data to support future development.
- Preparing reports, written materials and information resources for different audiences.
About you
You will be highly organised, proactive and confident managing competing priorities. You will enjoy working collaboratively and providing helpful, responsive support to partners.
You will bring:
- Experience of organising and coordinating events.
- Experience of supporting or leading project delivery.
- The ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong writing and proofreading skills, with experience producing reports, newsletters, letters or web copy.
- Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, PowerPoint and databases.
- An understanding of children’s social care and the care system.
- A commitment to confidentiality, equality, diversity and inclusion.
Experience of working with local authorities, fostering services or young people would be an advantage. Care experience or lived experience of foster care is also desirable.
