We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications professional to join our Campaigns and Regional Engagement team. You will assist in raising the profile of physiotherapy throughout London, the South-East Coast, the East Midlands and the East of England, and support our work to influence key stakeholders.

Through the development of effective communications, you will engage and inspire Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) members to promote the value of physiotherapy in their communities, whilst also building opportunities to increase the profession’s influence with local decision makers. The role also involves substantial input into CSP campaigns and events.

First class communication skills, confidence and self-motivation are essential attributes for this role, along with the ability to work effectively across team boundaries. Educated to degree level, or equivalent, you will also need expertise in at least one, and preferably several, of the following: stakeholder engagement, media and PR, online communications, video production, public affairs, writing for publications and event management.

*You must be able to travel within the regions specified and be willing to undertake some work in the evenings and on weekends. Homeworking is subject to meeting assessment requirements, which includes a minimum broadband speed of 18Mbps and a dedicated space to work from.

We are looking for a Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join our team and work within Manchester City Council’s multi-disciplinary Thriving Families Service. The role involves providing one-to-one support to adult victims / survivors of domestic abuse, within families where safeguarding concerns have been identified.

The role
In this role you will complete and regularly review risk and needs assessments with victims - survivors of domestic abuse.   You will liaise with partner agencies, actively contributing to multi-agency plans and risk management / safeguarding procedures. You will carry out a large and varied range of practical support which may include safety planning, advocacy and explaining legal and civil options available. We also offer emotional support to those people we work with, encouraging and supporting them to rebuild lost confidence and self-esteem. Using a trauma-informed approach you will place the people we are supporting at the centre of your work.

About you

You’ll have a deep understanding of the nature of domestic abuse and its effects on clients and children.

Your knowledge extends to the range of statutory and voluntary agencies that clients and their children may encounter, and you are aware of the impact of domestic abuse on children and parenting, including the additional needs of clients from BMER communities.

You will have experience in working with clients on issues of domestic abuse, providing one-to-one support and advice, managing your own workload and administration, and assessing the safety needs of clients. You have handled safeguarding disclosures and referrals, and you communicate clearly with a range of people both over the telephone and in person.

You will be organised, able to use your initiative, and work effectively as part of a multi-service team. Your administrative skills are strong, and you are adept at using electronic case management systems.

Flexible and willing to work evenings, you can travel independently. Additionally, you have an understanding of the legal options available to clients, the child protection system, and services for those experiencing domestic abuse. Experience liaising with social workers and other professionals, and in related areas such as substance misuse, mental health, child protection, or family support, is desirable.

Fluency in an additional language and skills in group work are also advantageous. You stay updated with best practices and new initiatives.

Later, you might plan a group activity aimed at helping customers enhance their independent life skills.

Research Initiatives Manager

The Research Initiatives Manager is a crucial role at the College, as you will work closely with senior clinicians to lead a series of projects and activities to feed into the development and delivery of child-health research initiatives. The initiatives include research awards, research events and research capacity and capability building, by embedding academic skills into the paediatric workforce and enabling academic research.

As Research Initiatives Manager, you will also lead on the RCPCH Genomics Programme which aims to develop and deliver a series of resources and activities related to supporting the preparedness of our membership for the era of genomics medicine.

Based within the Research and Evidence team, you will be the operational lead for relevant Committees and working groups, acting as a representative of the College to represent the views of paediatricians, whilst ensuring timely reporting of progress to Project Boards.

You will also build and develop relationships with external stakeholders and work with the Head of Grants and Partnerships to identify sources of funding to support future work within the Research and Evidence remit.

With a degree or equivalent experience with a research, health science, life sciences or genetics/genomics component, you should have a proven understanding of the national funding landscape and infrastructure for clinical research.

An expert at providing senior project leadership, you should have experience of collaborative ways of working across multidisciplinary teams and programmes of work, along with demonstrable experience of producing high quality written reports, documentation and promotional information suitable for a range of audiences.

With excellent organisational skills and an ability to adopt an orderly and precise approach to work, paying careful attention to detail and the ability to follow standard procedures and ways of working, you should also have demonstrable programme management skills, and be capable of working autonomously and taking personal responsibility for your projects.

Knowledge of research methodology, including data analysis, along with a background of organising workshops and events and an understanding of the genomic medicine landscape, would be desirable.

Join the innovative Bolton Listening Lounge, providing adults in Bolton with mental health and wellbeing support. Working in partnership with Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust and BAND/FAmily Action, the Bolton Listening Lounge is a collaborative approach to providing mental health and wellbeing support from late afternoon into the evening. It provides a safe space for people who are experiencing mental distress or who feel that they are going through a personal crisis. Summary of the position

Epic is looking for a Development Manager to support the activities of the UK Development Team to help us ‘make giving the norm’.

The Development Manager will work with the UK Director in our small team in the UK, as well as working closely with colleagues in Paris and Brussels. 

This position offers candidates the opportunity to develop their skills across a range of fundraising disciplines including corporate fundraising, major donor engagement, events, and philanthropy. 

This position will work with a deeply engaged team in an international environment. Given the versatile nature of the responsibilities and the small team size, candidates will need to show demonstrable flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to take ownership and work independently.

Key Responsibilities :

With support from the UK Director, the Development Manager will work collaboratively with the Director and wider UK team and Development colleagues in Paris and Brussels to execute the fundraising strategy in the UK. The Development Manager is a key role in a small team, and will contribute new ideas, networks and results to help us meet our income targets and therefore create more positive impact for children and young people globally. More specifically, the key responsibilities of this role are outlined below.

1. Business Development (65%)

• Lead prospect research and outreach efforts to expand Epic’s prospect donor pool in the UK: monitor the fundraising ecosystem, conduct in-depth prospect research and engage in proactive outreach campaigns through LinkedIn, emailing, digital networking and in-person events. This will include attending early morning and evening events as required.
• Set conversion objectives and support conversion from leads to donations
• Identify and secure lead opportunities within networks and events
• Pitch Epic and its various Giving Solutions to potential donors, and build tailored proposals when needed
• Maintain high discipline and consistency in follow-up with leads and donors: use Epic’s CRM to build a consistent pipeline of prospects, as well as maintaining the database with accurate and up to date donor information
• Evaluate and monitor the return on investment (ROI) of events and fundraising campaigns
• Prepare compelling fundraising communications, materials and presentations for donor meetings and events

2. Nurturing & engaging the UK Community (20%)

• Contribute to Epic’s engagement strategy for current donors to ensure an 80% renewal rate
• Maintain regular touchpoints with a subgroup of donors through activities such as sharing monitoring reports, organising project visits and volunteering opportunities in the UK, and scheduling regular calls and face to face meetings. 
• Act as the main point of contact for a subset of donors and answer their enquiries in a timely manner
• Craft and manage engagement opportunities such as UK events and webinars, including drinks, talks, breakfast events, and provide support to the organisation for the annual gala nights. Support will be provided for certain events by our in-house dedicated Events team.

3. Fundraising-related administration (15%)

• Manage donor-related administrative tasks, such as regular use of Epic’s CRM (Salesforce), donation forms, meeting preparation, minutes (where applicable), and 
• Process all donations, using Salesforce and related donation platforms, in a timely manner each month
• Liaise with international fund vehicles, such as Myriad USA, to ensure all international donation commitments are fulfilled. 

Position Requirements :

• Candidate must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
• Excellent level of English (both spoken and written) required
• Proficiency in French (written and spoken) highly desirable 
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales, fundraising or business development role, with demonstrable experience of securing 5- and 6-figure gifts
• Experience within the charity sector is desirable but not required
• Experience using software packages such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva and other applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to attend external events (including evening events) and comfortable networking with a variety of people across different communities
• Experience with a CRM is required and preferably some experience of using Salesforce 
• Strong self-discipline and project management skills
• Excellent organisational skills and a strong eye for detail

The Epic UK team is a small but dedicated team. The role requires flexibility and a start-up attitude. This is a full time, permanent position, based in the London office with the opportunity for two remote working days each week. This role reports to the UK Director and will involve closely working with Epic’s global development team, as well as with the Engagement, Programs, Marketing and Communications, and Operations teams.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our highly skilled and dedicated Compliance, Risk, and Audit team. The team compromises a Director, Head of Service, and 3 experienced officers, with this role completing the team as the 4th officer. Although the team is small in size, they deliver work of significant depth, strategic importance, and exceptional quality across SIG. They play a vital role in supporting SIG's strategic direction through its commitment to high standards of Governance, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, and Continuous Improvement.

• Review reported AINMs and Safeguarding alerts and work collaboratively with teams to implement effective remedial actions, supporting future mitigation
• Conduct regular service visits and team meetings, focusing on safety reviews, training, and provide practical, informed guidance during these engagements
• Manage data and analyse trends, creating high quality reports, which are clear and readable
• Facilitate and support organisational complaints processes to ensure adherence to policy, timescale, and best practice
• Investigate and lead on whistleblowing concerns and assist the audit and compliance team, champions, Managers, P&C and other relevant teams in acting appropriately on concerns raised and protecting the whistleblower

About you

• Previous experience in complaints and incident handling, safeguarding, data protection, and audits
• Previous experience in governance systems and structures which could include auditing, risk management, investigations, and report writing

About the role

We are looking for a Training & Youth Participation Officer for our UK Safeguarding on Transport Project. This is a Hybrid role with some home working and requires frequent travel and overnight stays across the UK.  

As a Training and Participation Officer you will be responsible for the delivery of face to face and online training to various stakeholders and groups within the transport community ensuring that our partners and colleagues become our ‘eyes and ears’ in responding to and reporting safeguarding and vulnerability concerns. Overview and key points on the role  | Rape Crisis South London is looking for 2 part time skilled, passionate and professional Caseworkers who will be based within the Advocacy Service.  As a Caseworker you will support clients through their journey through the housing and benefits system by providing practical and emotional support to survivors of sexual violence.  You should have a good working knowledge of Housing processes and Welfare benefits systems with experience of carrying out assessments and completing applications.  In addition to having excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills you should also be able to develop key relationships with external agencies such as the local authority.   You should have demonstrable experience working with survivors of sexual violence and of working in a trauma-informed way. We will provide clinical supervision, full training and line management, and the opportunity to develop your skillsets. Responsible to the Advocacy service manager you will be a key member of the advocacy service, working alongside our ISVA’s in a busy and supportive team.
