The Finance Manager will support the Head of Finance and work closely with the Finance Officer to deliver an efficient and robust financial service for The Photographers’ Gallery (TPG) and its trading subsidiary. A pivotal role within a small but impactful team, the Finance Manager will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, strengthen financial processes and controls, and contribute to strategic decision-making across the organisation.

A summary of key duties is as below:

• Oversee all day-to-day finance operations, including bookkeeping, payroll, VAT returns, reconciliations, purchase and sales ledgers.
• Prepare quarterly management accounts, budgets, and cashflow reports in collaboration with the Head of Finance.
• Support in the preparation of the annual accounts and liaise directly with auditors.
• Ensure compliance with charity accounting standards (SORP), HMRC, VAT and pension requirements.
• Maintain effective financial systems and controls, working with senior staff to ensure best practice across the organisation.
• Work closely with budget holders to monitor financial performance and support effective decision making.
• Contribute to wider organisational initiatives, including digital transformation of finance processes and cross-departmental working groups.

About You

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification (part-qualified considered) or significant relevant finance experience.
• Experience in financial management and bookkeeping, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
• Strong technical skills, including use of accounting systems, Excel, and financial reporting.
• Excellent organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across a range of stakeholders.
• An interest in the arts, culture, and working in a values-driven environment.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering Lincoln. ABOUT THE ROLE

This role could suit two types of candidates:

• A practitioner with experience of working with children and families who wants to use their practice experience in a programme management role, or;

What does a week look like for a Daybreak Programme Manager?

No two weeks are the same, but as a Programme Manager you can expect to balance a mix of operational oversight, supporting your freelancer team, and stakeholder engagement. Typical activities include:

Ensuring a quality service for families, and delivering on contract aims

• Reviewing and triaging referrals, including case discussions with referrers.
• Quality-assuring referrals and Family Plans, ensuring procedures are followed and records are kept up to date in our case management system.
• Monitoring case records to make sure Family Group Conferences are progressing appropriately, and accurate records are being kept.
• Collating and analysing performance data (KPIs), using MS Excel and other tools.
• Writing quarterly reports for commissioners, analysing service delivery, providing narratives and identifying areas for development.

Working with your freelancer team of Coordinators

• Allocating new referrals to our team of freelance Independent Coordinators.

Working with external stakeholders and referrers

• Building relationships with referrers such as Social Workers, through consultations and attending team meetings.

Purpose of Post

The Community Outreach Worker (Community Support Service) provides people with complex needs who have mental health as a primary need. This includes people who may have drug and alcohol difficulties. Particularly when they are coming into repeat contact with Police, Tenancy Sustainment Services, Housing and Homelessness Services and Environmental Health Services.

About the service

Our Community Support Service is here to provide advice, information and holistic outreach support to people who are experiencing mental ill-health or need help with their mental wellbeing. We work alongside people to develop an individually tailored package of support that meets their needs, working with clients to find the solutions that are right for them. This service is flexible to help resolve real-life difficulties and improve client’s independence, quality of life and wellbeing.

The service will be delivered in Three Rivers, based at the Herts Mind Network Wellbeing Centre, providing outreach around Three Rivers.

The purpose of the Community Support Service Outreach Worker is to:

• To provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients with coexisting drug and alcohol difficulties and mental ill-health. These will be clients who are presenting to the Police, Anti-Social Behaviour, Tenancy Enforcement, Housing and Environmental Health Services within Three Rivers.
• To ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• Embed a person centred and solution focused approach in all aspects of the role.
• To raise greater awareness of complex needs and the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) amongst local service providers. Supporting them to gain confidence in working positively and consistently with people who have multiple needs.

Main Purpose of Role

CFAB is a national charity and the UK-branch of the International Social Service network. Our social work team helps to resolve cases involving child protection, children in care, and vulnerable adults when the case crosses international borders. CFAB social workers offer advice and guidance to individuals and local authorities and help to link social work services between the UK and another country. CFAB social workers engage in direct work with beneficiaries through kinship assessments and risk assessments.

The main purpose of the role is: to manage a caseload of complex cases originating in the UK or overseas which involve child protection issues; to support, advise and quality assure the work of social workers in other countries; to deliver training to professionals on issues related to international social work, and: when needed, to complete kinship assessments of family members who have come forward to care for a child in care.

Note: Whilst there are some opportunities to complete direct work with service users, such opportunities are limited as the focus of the role involves supporting social workers abroad and delivering training to UK Local Authorities.

Main duties, tasks and key results

1. To hold a caseload of allocated cases originating in the UK or overseas

• Quality assuring complex kinship and parenting assessments completed by social workers abroad for court proceedings in the UK.
• Managing complex cases requiring liaison with local authorities or individuals in the UK, and the relevant authorities overseas to resolve the case;
• Assessing cases referred to CFAB, identifying the intervention required and the resources/agency to undertake it
• Preparing information for referral abroad or to an agency in the UK;
• Establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with clients and/or agencies in the UK and overseas to ensure the progression of cases to resolution;
• Ensuring that all cases are dealt with in a manner consistent with CFAB guidelines and Social Work England’s’ professional standards;
• Undertaking the required administrative tasks.

2. To participate in running the Advice Line service and responding to enquiries made to CFAB

• Offering advice to local authorities, NGOs and individuals
• Advising on referral procedure and fees
• Sending follow-up documents to enquirers
• Liaising with overseas partners for advice and to establish if services are available

3. To provide training to local authority professionals

• Deliver training sessions, jointly and single-handedly, to UK authorities on issues relating to international child protection, e.g. child trafficking and private fostering
• Present on CFAB’s behalf to conferences on international child protection, as required.

4. To undertake social work assessments

• Undertake kinship assessments of individuals in the UK who have applied to care for a child within their family who is in care in another country;

5. To support the development of the Social Work Team and wider CFAB team through:

• Participation in social work and CFAB team meetings
• Regular supervision meetings with line manager
• Representing CFAB to external partners
• Contributing to special projects as required

6.  To be adaptable and willing to take on new roles and responsibilities as the services of CFAB develop in response to the changing needs

7. To maintain up to date knowledge of legislation and policies affecting the work of CFAB to ensure a high quality consultancy service to service users.

8.  To present, represent and promote the organisation to a range of audiences and settings, including promotional events.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE

Essential

2. A thorough and in-depth knowledge of safeguarding issues and all relevant UK legislation and knowledge of international regulations.

The Allied Health Professional Manager will have professional and managerial responsibility of the Allied health, social work, bereavement and wellbeing services for Lothians. 

As the Allied Health Professional Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership and operational oversight of a multidisciplinary team comprising: 

• Physiotherapists 

• Occupational Therapists 

• Social Worker 

• Bereavement Support Coordinators 

• Spiritual Care Coordinators 

• Rehabilitation Assistants 

• Volunteers 

This role will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of these services and will also have a responsibility for oversight of the team's caseloads and will be required to support clinical practice at times.  

The role will be required to work closely with the whole MDT in Lothian and the senior management team to support service growth and development. The role includes responsibility for quality improvement, clinical governance, and the management of incidents, complaints, and concerns within these services. 

You will work closely with the Senior Management Group and report directly to the Clinical Services Lead. You may be required to deputise for the Clinical Services Lead in their absence, contributing to strategic planning and service development.

• Lead and support a diverse multidisciplinary team across inpatient, community, and wellbeing services and outpatients 

• Provide oversight of caseloads and ensure effective coordination of care.

The Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants (JCWI) is an independent charity established in 1967. For over 57 years, we have promoted our vision of a society in which people can live safely and are treated with equal dignity and respect, regardless of where they are from or how they came to the UK.
