Holder House is set in the leafy neighbourhood of Abingdon and provides care and support to 14 people from 18+ living with, and recovering from, enduring mental health issues. The Team Manager reports to and will be supported by the Registered Manager.
As well as ensuring the quality of service and support provided to people who use our services, you will line manage front line staff and organise any building maintenance requirements. Whether you’re carrying out an induction, undertaking an investigation, putting team development plans in place or providing support to our business development team, one thing’s for sure – you won't be short of challenge and variety. We’re currently working towards being awarded ‘Outstanding’ at our next CQC inspection and you will play an integral part in helping us to achieve this.
Substantial experience gained managing a caseload of individuals with complex needs is a given, as well as being outcome driven and able to lead by example using your firm but inclusive management style. You’re open and encouraging too and have lots of tact and diplomacy. What's more, you're great at managing conflicting priorities on time, have a flexible attitude to working hours and are willing to participate in on call arrangements. And, if you have experience of carrying out investigations, writing reports/recommendations or managing budgets, even better, although it's not essential as we offer an extensive induction and training programme for managers.
The service operates two sleep-ins per night (paid at £78.30 per 10-hour sleep-in) and an on-call rota (paid at £18.00) to cover a sleep-in/day shift in the event of absence – applicants should be flexible and available to cover sleep-ins and fill in on the on-call rota where needed.
This is a permanent full time role requiring the post holder to work 37.5 hours per week.

Responsible for corporate hospitality, the Administrator will provide excellent in-person customer care for visitors to the organisation’s central London Hub and act a first point of contact via the organisation’s in-bound telephone hunt groups.

About the role
The London Library is looking for an Acquisitions and Discovery Assistant to assist in the acquisition and management of Library E-resources and print resources.
The role includes supporting the successful acquisition and seamless delivery of electronic resources to library users, utilising and maintaining relevant library systems and records; assisting purchasing decisions and supporting licensing, ordering and payment processes; verifying access, liaising with suppliers & Library IT, and ensuring correct metadata is presented to users; plus monitoring resource use and collecting data for the evaluation of subscriptions. There is the opportunity to support membership and services, including giving tours to prospective members.
In addition to assisting with the administration of E-books, the role requires processes associated with the management of the print journal collection, including serials and donated materials, such as checking in new issues and ensuring publications are shelved correctly, applying stamps, recording invoices, recording changes in publishers' information and preparing completed volumes of serial parts for binding and checking.
There is potential to grow and develop the role, which will join our busy Acquisitions and Discovery team and assisting with administrative tasks associated with cataloguing along with supporting the Library’s internal Digitisation processes as required.

Working closely with prisons and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will support with the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme in the South region, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships quickly and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. If you love cooking, people and thinking on your feet, then this is the management job for you. Boaz is a small independent charity that over 100 people a week call their "workplace". Four days a week around 30 people come to the farm to "work and learn together" doing a whole range of horticulture and other jobs such as cooking, craft, animal care and woodwork. As Deputy Manager you will help keep the fun levels high, the stress levels low, and people working harmoniously together. Four days each week you'll lead on cooking a simple vegetarian meal for everyone on site, plus be involved in the general day to day management of the charity. But don't take my word for it, swing by for a coffee and a walk around to get a feel for things BEFORE you apply. Based in a converted cow barn this is a MARMITE job, and we all know that people either love or don't love that spread.
It's a small team, only two other full time staff members working alongside you, but over 50 volunteers coming and going each week and over 30 adults with learning disabilities who spend half days or several days a week working at the project. Each day starts with some "listening and prayer time" where people are encouraged to share and receive prayer if they request it. Then some scripture is shared followed by remembering everything people are grateful for. As Deputy Manager you would lead these sessions when the General Manager is on leave or be on a rota system.
The role is based on-site, Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 4:30.
You get 20 days holiday a year plus Public Holidays to start with, plus additional days for long service.
Pay will be in the range of £28 to £30,000 p/a depending on experience.

Volunteer Programme Fundraiser

Position: Volunteer Programme Fundraiser
Location: Cambridge/Hybrid
Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

About the Role
We currently have a variety of volunteer roles including Fundraising Volunteers, Information Hub Volunteers (who support the Charity Hubs around the hospitals), and event volunteers. The organisation would like to grow the volunteer roles and introduce official Fundraising groups across The East of England to the portfolio.
These are ambitious plans and targets for the charity over the next five years – and volunteers play a huge part in that vision.
Successfully delivering this exciting new fundraising strategy is only possible with a strong team of engaged volunteers – and that is only possible if there are the right volunteer fundraisers in the team.
If successful, you will be working closely with colleagues to identify opportunities for volunteering across events, assisting fundraisers out in the community, setting up fundraising committees, and sourcing income generation opportunities at local community events. You will also be responsible for growing the pool of volunteers allowing presence across the hospital, promoting the work and impact of the charity.
You will also be responsible for co-ordinating the exciting new Hubs within the Hospital programme– ensuring that they are adequately staffed by excellent volunteers who are highly trained, and that are providing an excellent patient experience, in these crucial front-of-house opportunities.

We are looking for someone who can build a team of committed and engaged volunteers to support the fundraising and generate income through volunteer activities. You will bring your experience of establishing positive relationships, as well as your knowledge of volunteering best practices, to create a programme that appeals to people who want to support the Hospital. You will be able to make the volunteers feel fulfilled, engaged, and proud to be a part of the team.

We are looking for someone to offer part-time administrative support to the membership team including the following tasks:
Membership
- Sending renewal notices – email and letter
- Processing renewal payments using Xero
- Updating membership records using CiviCRM
- Preparing and submitting the Gift Aid claim monthly
- Answering membership email queries
- Preparing and sending out new member packs
General
- Helping at events
- Processing book orders when needed

Skills and experience required
- Data processing experience and aptitude

- Having an understanding of or interest in infertility and/or families created with help of some kind (eg adoption/IVF/donor conception)

Salary and Holiday
This is a permanent position. The salary is £26,000. Future First staff receive pro rata 28 days of leave (in addition to 8 UK public holidays) increasing one day per year of service up to 33.
