Role: Programme Officer

Reporting to: Programmes and Partner Manager

Contract Type: Full time, permanent (part-time candidates will be considered, minimum 4 days per week) 

Number of days: 5 days a week (will consider flexible working hours).

Location: Hybrid, minimum 2-days per week in London office (applicants must already be eligible to work in the UK). Laptop provided for home working.

Salary: £29,000 (plus benefits) FTE (dependent on relevant skills and experience).

Annual leave: 25 days plus public holidays, with an additional 2 days for volunteer work.

Your Impact / Specific responsibilities will include the following:

• Manage grantee partner relationships, including building trust and openness, identifying capacity needs, administrating grants, monitoring progress and fulfilling reporting requirements.

• Provide administrative support across the Programmes Team with grant management e.g. preparing of grant paperwork, reviewing partner reports and checklists (proposals), monitoring pipelines.

• Undertake research in focal areas for the Programmes Team, such as identifying intervention points and opportunities to make a difference in conservation.

• Contribute to communication products, including donor reports and applications, to support Synchronicity Earth’s fundraising and philanthropic goals.

• Produce and contribute to board papers and discussions.

• Update and undertake due diligence.

• Managing and maintaining partner database, including data entry, preparing reports and basis analysis. 

• Contribute to the development of Synchronicity Earth’s processes and systems around partnermanagementand due diligence.

Skills and experience required

Essential

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in English, with excellent writing skills.
• A passion for ecology, endangered species and biodiversity, social justice or community engagement.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and adapt in a dynamic environment. 
• Demonstrate curiosity, humility, flexibility, and responsiveness.

Desirable

• Experience (especially lived experience) in Asia, South America, Africa or the Pacific

• Some understanding of community- and rights-based approaches.

• Written and spoken Spanish and/or Portuguese. 

• Experience using databases and/or project management tools e.g. Salesforce, Asana, Tableau.

• Willingness to undertake occasional travel both within the UK and overseas.

• Desire to work across a range of conservation issues and to undertake a diverse role.

Then this could be the role for you. At the Digital Poverty Alliance, we are looking for our new Policy & Insights Manager. You must be able to inspire us and our partners and spearhead our public affairs work, including through our National Delivery Plan to unite action to end digital poverty by 2030.

We bring together charities, corporates and government to address the underlying issues stopping families gaining full access to digital services such as education, healthcare and employment. We seek social change through our National Delivery Plan, whilst also delivering solutions in local areas that help real people and provide evidence for change. 

This is an exciting, high profile and fast-paced role, joining our small team and working alongside partners, National Delivery Committee members and our wider stakeholders to effect real change for people. You will report directly to the Chief Executive, working alongside our Head of External Affairs.

A big part of our social change ambition is delivered through our public affairs work; influencing policy makers so that our ambitions are shared with government, companies and with everyone able to deliver to our vision of a world where everyone is able to connect successfully with the digital world where and when they want to.  You will also be responsible for drafting white papers, analysing trends and data, and identifying new insights.  You will support our Industry Forum, working with existing and new members to broaden the group.

The DPA aims to work through partners in delivering to our core mission and, as such, we retain only a small core team with support from our PR agency. As such, you’ll lead on delivering our policy and public affairs work, from briefing MPs to developing our policy positions.

Whilst the role is remote based, you will regularly need to attend in-person meetings and events in central London (daytime and evening), as well as undertaking travel across the UK. Given the need to attend meetings in Westminster and Whitehall, you will need to live within commuting distance of London.

Key focus areas

• Building relationships with public, private and third sector organisations, including the wider DPA community.
• Working to convene and collaborate with organisations and individuals committed to ending digital poverty.
• Work with colleagues across local, regional and national governments and across political parties to advocate for policies to promote digital inclusion.
• Undertaking research and analysis to understand digital poverty and the impact of policies to address it.
• Managing policy and research projects including the ongoing development of the national delivery plan and supporting ‘proof of concept’ projects.
• Developing commercial and research partnerships with organisations and supporting the development of the industry forum.
• Communicating the DPA vision and perspective through verbal and written communication.

For the other 6 months of the year, you will lead marketing and fundraising projects across Public Income and Engagement to drive us towards Save the Children's goal of raising £60 million by 2030.

You will also lead on the development of multi-channel marketing plans, with a focus on audience, to drive ambitious brand awareness, supporter action, income and loyalty targets including email, display, paid social, direct mail, TV, radio and out of home, across a range of engagement opportunities and propositions (legacies, regular giving, emergencies and mass participation)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team to attract and engage supporters to drive participation and income generation for Christmas Jumper Day.
• Lead the development of multi-channel marketing plans, with a focus on audience and insight.
• Lead the team's relationship with the media buying agency to buy and optimize media.
• Cultivate collaborative relationships with key partners such as marketing agencies, production companies, and fulfilment agencies, motivating and inspiring them to deliver their best for Save the Children.
• Inspire internal partners and colleagues to focus on raising money around the Christmas Jumper Day campaign.
• Manage team budgets and reporting.
• Support the Deputy Director of Public Income and Engagement to lead fundraising and marketing projects outside the Christmas Jumper Day campaign period.

Key Requirements:

• Significant experience in marketing, including developing complex and integrated multi-channel marketing plans, data analysis, and audience planning.
• Outstanding project management skills with a proven ability to plan and manage activity that delivers complex projects on time and to budget.
• Extensive experience in effectively managing external partners, including working with media agencies, creative agencies, and fulfilment agencies.
• Experience in developing marketing assets to drive engagement and action.
• Experience in developing engaging supporter journeys across channels.
• Ability to provide technical leadership for the organization in delivering marketing across various media types.

Hours: 37 Hours per week

NHS England have awarded funding for NHS, Local Authorities, and the voluntary sector to increase their capacity for joint working to meet multiple needs of communities.

Working in partnership across Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust, you will support the testing of new and integrated models of primary and community mental health care.

Community Connectors will support patients to access a wide range of community services and resources including social care, housing, family, debt and employment counselling that support maintaining good health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work jointly with the Mental Health Practitioner in conducting assessments, including risk assessment
• Work with patients to support them in identifying their socially determined needs and goals, provide self- management tools and facilitate the development of personal support plans
• Provide a range of motivational and structured psycho-social interventions
• Promote independence through an enabling asset-based approach that draws on individuals’ strengths, preferences and ‘natural’ support networks
• Assist with community resource mapping exercises and maintain a database of community resources; map where there are gaps in provision across the PCN and wider geography and work with other VCS organisations to develop resources where most needed
• Promote and support (where necessary) advised follow up actions from physical health checks for people with SMI
• Work with the service to identify opportunities to expand provision particularly in local communities where there is a lack of service provision identified
• Broker and establish new partnerships between public and voluntary sector agencies to enhance service delivery and access to services
• Develop and sustain professional relationships with service users, partner agencies and appropriate external agencies

EIA is seeking a Climate Campaigner: F-Gases and Sustainable Cooling to join our Climate Team focused on campaigning at UK, European and international levels for a rapid reduction in emissions of fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases) and the transition to sustainable cooling.

Role purpose:

This key role will focus on eliminating ozone depleting substances and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) in the cooling sector, improving energy efficiency of replacement technologies, and holding companies and industry to account for their climate and environmental impacts. About you:
