The Major Gifts Stewardship Assistant is responsible for an existing portfolio of approximately 150+ individual, trust, and corporate donor relationships. Main responsibilities include:

· Maintaining the current portfolio of donors.

· Uplifting donors to give at higher levels, where possible.

· Supporting the trusts and foundations of new business processes through research and outreach.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri

Job Purpose:

To be an integral part of the Philanthropy team, providing stewardship to individuals, trusts and foundations, and corporate supporters (typically, yet not exclusively, at the £5,000 to £20,000 level). You will be responsible for a portfolio of major donors, ensuring their continued support of MSF.

About this job

Please note this is a part-time role 3 days/or 21 hours per week (Fridays must be worked but the other 2 days per week are flexible). The role is initially for an 18 months fixed term contract.

As a key member of our Services and Support team, you’ll be working with MS Society volunteer groups that provide transport services to their members and/or own property. Main Responsibilities

The Business Partnering manager plays a critical role managing the budgeting & forecasting work across Diabetes UK ultimately, working closely with the Head of Finance & senior stakeholders, to ensure that we deliver our vision in a sustainable way.

Purpose of the post

The Finance Business Partner plays a crucial role within HDR UK, as the key point of contact and financial support for the Institute Office teams. Main responsibilities

• Hold responsibility for the financial management of a number of large and strategic funds, including financial reporting to funders and maximising fund utilisation.
• Lead on monthly reporting to Programme teams, including posting month end journals, meeting with Budget Holders to discuss performance and budget variance and providing commentary and analysis on reports.
• Work with the Associate Directors of the Finance team to plan, deliver, and review the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.

Role Summary

Research

• Work with the P&RM to carry out research activities relevant to the policy and research functions of the charity; including collating and analysing data, and co-authoring reports for both internal and public purposes.

• Monitor and collate new policy and research materials, including research reports, policy documents and media activity. Work with the P&RM to produce internal reports where appropriate and to ensure the charity’s activities reflect and respond to the wider policy and research environment.

• Work with the P&RM on external research projects funded by the charity, including support with assessing the quality of bids by external researchers. 

Across both areas

• Produce social media communications where relevant to policy and research. Work with colleagues across the Research and Public Affairs and Communications and Marketing teams to develop strategies for maximising impact, especially in digital communications.

• Contribute to strategic planning by contributing to staff meetings, producing supporting materials and providing feedback on public affairs.

Income Supervisor

Do you have accounting experience and the ability to support and supervise a small team? Phyllis Tuckwell is looking to appoint an Income Supervisor to lead and coordinate the Income team within our Finance Department.

The main responsibilities are to:

• Supervise a small income team and volunteers.
• Manage, control, analyse and reconcile income onto the financial ledger and the donor database.
• Manage the entry of all direct bank receipts and income from online giving platforms, including set up and monitoring all standing orders and associated bank reconciliation.
• Oversee weekly cash counts for banking via G4S security.
• Act as the main point of contact with the finance department for all retail operations staff and ensure all retail shop income is recorded correctly and reconciles to the retail system.
• Be the main point of contact and information for all income issues, liaising with other departments as required.
• Manage the Gift Aid declaration process including the correct entry on donor database and the scanning process.

The successful candidate will have:

• AAT level 4 / MAAT or be qualified by experience to this level.
• A detailed knowledge of financial accounting and double entry bookkeeping.
• Experience of complex reconciliations of high-volume transactional data.
• Proven experience of implementing & managing strong financial controls.
• Familiarity with accounting in charity sector and gift aid welcomed.
• Experience of operating specialised accounting systems – PT uses Microsoft Business Central.
• Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, basic pivot, SUMIFS, conditional formatting and similar)

Working with different teams across the charity, you’ll be planning, managing and delivering direct marketing campaigns across a range of media including digital and print. Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Campaign Management

· Plan, manage and deliver successful campaigns across a range of channels including face-to-face, digital and print.

Colostomy UK is a national charity that offers support and advice to people who have had stoma surgery (ostomates) and to their friends, families and carers. Our projects empower ostomates to return to sports, hobbies and other activities after their surgery and give them the confidence to take on fresh challenges. We advocate for ostomates’ rights and are their voice on the bigger issues. Our campaigns raise awareness of ‘life with a stoma’ and encourage organisations to make their facilities more inclusive.

About the role:

As the Volunteers and Support Administrator you will provide efficient administration to our support services and volunteer team. You will also undertake any admin duties involved with running the Colostomy UK office and support other members of the team. You will be answering and re-directing incoming calls on our stoma helpline. You won’t be providing support to callers; however you will need to have an empathetic approach whilst explaining that you will arrange a support call back from one of our volunteers. You will action calls that come through on our admin line and manage our central email inbox, ensuring requests are actioned promptly. You will organise volunteer rotas, help with onboarding our volunteers and organise incoming and outgoing post. The postholder will take minutes at meetings, ensure the office is kept tidy and co-ordinate stock delivery for events and exhibitions.

Our ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate for this position is organized, efficient, and reliable, capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently. They will possess excellent customer care skills, demonstrating a professional and empathetic telephone manner. Attention to detail is vital, along with strong time management abilities. The successful post holder will have effective verbal and written communication skills, coupled with proficiency in Microsoft programs and accurate data entry.
