A. Role:
Be the first point of contact for DPG and perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.
B. Duties and Responsibilities:
Together with our Practice Manager and Admin Assistants, you will ensure the smooth running of the office. Your duties will include:
· answering phone calls, putting callers through, taking telephone messages, returning calls;
· receiving visitors, collecting them from Main Reception, and liaising with fee-earners about them;
· opening incoming post, scanning post, and the dispatch of outgoing post;
· Maintaining office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via reception;
· assisting with certain aspects of Health & Safety within the office;
· arranging couriers and taxis as required;
· using the firm’s internal email system to send and receive messages;
· using the firm’s case management system (SOS Connect) to look up and input client details on the database;
· running messages and delivering/collecting documents;
· keeping the office and meeting rooms tidy;
· making sure that the photocopiers and fax machine are supplied with paper:
· ordering stationery and other office supplies;
· assisting with the archiving process;
· assisting the Practice Manager with projects and tasks;
· proactively trying to improve the office operation under the supervision of the Practice Manager;
· complying with agreed office procedures as described in the Office Manual;
· working with the partners and support staff to ensure that the office is run smoothly and efficiently, covering the work of others where required;
· attending staff meetings;
· dealing appropriately with the money of the firm, its clients and the Legal Aid Fund.

TLC: Talk, Listen, Change is a dynamic, leading relationships charity based in Greater Manchester.
The role
This role will work collaboratively within Manchester City Council’s multi-disciplinary Thriving Families Team to support families where children are open to Child Protection or Child In Need Plans. The Domestic Abuse Prevention Worker will engage directly with adults responsible for causing harm, aiming to increase perpetrator accountability and encourage positive change. Through one-on-one tailored interventions, the goal is to reduce risk to both victims and children, while enhancing the perpetrator's willingness to alter harmful behaviours. The Domestic Abuse Prevention Worker will work collaboratively with the Thriving Families Team and other agencies, ensuring a multi-agency, whole family approach. Additionally, the worker liaises with victim/survivor services to assess risks, formulate safety plans to secure better outcomes for those impacted by domestic abuse.
About you
You’ll be confident in delivering direct work with those who use harm. This will include completing comprehensive assessments of risk and need to deliver tailored interventions. You’ll have direct experience of working therapeutically with a client group and be confident in addressing challenging and harmful behaviour. You will have experience of safeguarding processes and multi-agency working.
Above all you will have the ability to build positive relationships with difficult to engage client groups, and you’ll bring a positive, solution focus attitude. We’d also love to hear from applicants who are fluent in speaking an additional language.

The Sefton Dementia Support Service provides a highly responsive and individualised information, signposting and referral service to people affected by dementia.

About the role
Location: Community based in Cambridge City, with some homeworking elements. Travel throughout Cambridgeshire may be required.
As a Dementia Adviser, you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide support, information, and guidance to people with dementia and their carers; helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives. Working with the Development Director, the Development Manager will be responsible for all aspects of our regular giving and young alumni programme:
- Lead a sustainable and effective regular giving programme and increase participation across all year groups through campaigns such as Telethons and Giving Days, sourcing and securing match gifts as needed.
- Face to face fundraising and donor engagement of our small to mid-level donors; cultivating and raising gifts between £1,000 - £10,000 from alumni and friends, managing a pipeline of prospects and building relationships with existing and new prospects.
- Continue developing a student and young alumni programme that offers opportunities for networking and mentoring and encouraging fundraising participation among recent graduates.

At our UK-wide 24-hour children's helpline, our trained counsellors for the past 30 years have been there for young people 24 hours a day, every day of the year. As a ChildLine Supervisor you manage the day-to-day responsibilities of running of the service with support from a committed and dedicated team who will share your values of supporting children and young people.
You will be responsible for providing effective supervision to volunteers that will include feedback, training and support where needed and ensuring that a quality response is given to every child or young person who contacts Childline. You will be assessing risk in line with our confidentiality and safeguarding standards and liaising with our external child protection partners such as Children's Services and the Police. To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

The Facilities Assistant role:
As our Facilities Assistant, you will be responsible for the presentation of the premises and the day-to-day compliance with health and safety related to this role. You will assist the Facilities Team with keeping the building and facilities maintained effectively and co-ordinate casual staff and volunteers in the absence of Facilities Co-ordinator.
Hours: Monday to Sunday contract. Full-time 37.5 hours per week, regular evening and weekend work will be required to cover business needs.
Responsibilities of our Facilities Assistant:
- With the team, deliver the daily, weekly, monthly facilities duties, including cleaning and to make sure that St Luke’s is well presented for visitors
- Support the Facilities Co-ordinator with overseeing the cleaning contracts and make sure that the contractors fulfil their obligations
- To cover the reception service as needed or in absence of the Reception team and to provided outstanding customer service at all times
- To help source and oversee facilities’ contractors to provide general maintenance and make repairs when this cannot be undertaken by you and/or your team
- Support the Facilities Team, to ensure that St Luke’s is compliant with all fire regulations, and in particular carry out regular fire risk assessments
- To ensure that St Luke’s complies with health and safety requirements, general health and safety for all users and staff in the Centre
- With the Facilities Team, to be responsible for the security of the building and its contents
- With the Reception and Facilities Team, be the point of contact for all visitors, staff and tenants
- With the Reception team, help to coordinate all room users’ requirements for St Luke’s activities and events
- Assist with maintaining St Luke’s garden areas and Edible Yard
- To attend meetings and training as required
- As part of the Facilities Team, to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed in a timely and effective manner
- To comply with the Charity’s policies – including Diversity and Equal Opportunities, Fire, Health and Safety, Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults
- To carry out any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of St Luke’s, as requested by the Facilities and Reception Manager. This would include, covering the reception during lunch breaks or as needed
Essential Skills, Experience & Abilities we are looking for in our ideal Facilities Assistant:
- A background in or experience of overseeing or working in a Facilities Team or an operational environment
- Understanding of overseeing building maintenance contractors
- An understanding of overseeing minor repairs and maintenance, controlling heating, ventilation and other mechanical systems, with a willingness and ability to learn on the job
- An understanding of building related health and safety, and willing to learn and do training in this area
- Experience of providing excellent customer service
- Good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate confidently and effectively
- A hands-on individual and flexible with regard to tasks including cleaning, light maintenance and room presentation
- IT literate
- Able to work independently and demonstrate initiatives in improving facilities’ systems
- Prioritisation and planning skills
- A flexible approach to working days and hours when necessary
