We're the UK's leading ovarian cancer research charity, seeking a creative Digital Marketing Officer with a genuine excitement for social media and the powerful role it can play in improving women’s health.
As the Digital Marketing Officer, you will be an integral part of our communications team, responsible for the day to day running of our social media channels and website content, and support on email engagement and paid acquisition.
In the role of Digital Marketing Officer, you will work together with the Digital Engagement Manager to plan, create and schedule content, and use data and analytics to consistently optimise performance, drive engagement and grow our channels. You will also work closely with our fundraising and charitable activities teams on campaigns and relevant activities to increase reach, build supporter awareness, generate income, and grow Ovarian Cancer Action’s brand.
Scope of the Digital Marketing Officer's role
- Social media and community management - Manages daily activity across social channels, creates content, engages with followers, and supports paid campaigns.
- Content creation and digital design - Designs digital assets and writes copy for social, web, and campaigns, ensuring content is on brand and engaging.
- Email marketing - Supports the creation and delivery of email campaigns, including copy, design with the aim of enhancing audience engagement.
- Website management - Support the day-to-day management of Ovarian Cancer Action’s website.
- Wider communications support - Contributes to campaigns, events, and content planning across all of our functional teams.
We’re looking for someone who………….
- Has at least a year in a similar role or relevant study (comms, marketing, digital, creative, charity), with hands-on experience and clear results.
- Shows a passion for digital marketing and a commitment to learning and growing.
- Has experience in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, film editing, or Google Ads/Search Console
- Experience working to budgets and reporting on campaigns, ensuring accurately tracked and presenting results to the wider team.
- Understands the power of social media to connect, inspire, and build communities.
- Writes clearly and confidently, with strong editing and proofing skills.
- Thinks strategically and creatively, with an eye for design and detail.
- Is comfortable juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Uses data to inform decisions, (Google Analytics/SEO is a bonus).
- Is proactive in learning new tools and keeping up with digital trends.
- Takes initiative and confidently owns their responsibilities
Other roles you may have had experience of could include Marketing and Communications / Social Media / Campaigns (Digital/Comms focus) / Digital Fundraising / Marketing Assistant (with significant digital responsibilities).
