As Community Programme Manager, you’ll join our independent adoption support charity, oversee our volunteer, peer support and event provision.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised ‘self-starting’ individual with experience of working with user-run communities. You will use your strong relationship-building skills to proactively engage WAF members and volunteers, to continue providing peer-led support and to create new opportunities for adopters to connect across the UK.

Norwich Theatre is one of the leading arts organisations in the UK and the largest in the East of England, encompassing the historic Theatre Royal, the creative hub Stage Two, and the intimate mid-scale Playhouse. About the capital project

The Playhouse Capital Development project is progressing through RIBA stage 3 with a design freeze now implemented. Work will continue to bring together a final stage 3 report which will give clear costings and timeframes for the project, before submitting a formal planning application at the end of October 2025. We anticipate that following this we will seek final approval to progress to RIBA stage 4 and commit to a start date for mid 2027 and a schedule of works that will see the project completed before 2029.

About this role

This part time (average 3 days per week) fixed term role has been created to work cross organisation and to work collaboratively with a new-look Development team to secure additional funding to realise this transformational capital project.
The person will play a pivotal role in our capital fundraising campaign, delivering the fundraising strategy behind this transformative initiative. Working closely with the Assistant Director, Development & Partnerships, senior leadership, trustees, the development team and funders, the postholder will manage the key milestones towards a successful a capital campaign that will transform the theatre’s facilities and secure its long-term future. 

What we’re looking for

We’re looking to work with someone with proven fundraising experience, specifically in the charitable sector, and with the ability to secure funding from a wide variety of sources, and work collaboratively with a new Development team supporting shared targets

You should have experience of fundraising for capital projects and a strong understanding of the requirements of time sensitive capital projects for cultural or charitable purposes. You will have experience of planning and delivering major fundraising events for capital targets e.g. gala dinners and auctions.

Job Purpose

This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is a core and out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. Our aim of the service is to keep individuals well in the community and prevent readmission into hospital. The service operates 365 days a year from 14:00-22:00pm across all of our boroughs.

Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone or virtual on a one-to-one basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis or preventing crisis.

The objectives of the service include:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health and social crisis in HFEH.
• To proactively work with keeping people well in the community to reduce re-admitters into hospitals by working with WL NHS teams (e.g. discharge, LPS, CATT, MINT and SPA)
• To provide a true alternative to A&E via a non-clinical drop-in service to support clients
• To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation and crisis recovery planning.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.

The Employment Support Coordinator will regularly meet with participants to listen, offer support and help them identify their best job match, reflecting their skills and aspirations.

In your day-to-day role, you will be striving to build, expand and strengthen the project whilst working closely with the Employment Manager to ensure all key performance indicators and any project targets are met. The role is responsible for onboarding individuals into the project as well as delivering face-to-face mentoring, work experience in and outdoors and coaching.

Join Sutton Nightwatch and help us raise vital funds to support and raise awareness for the homeless people within the London Borough of Sutton and surrounding areas. You’ll lead on strategy, grow donor relationships, and deliver ambitious fundraising targets that directly transform lives.

Sutton Night Watch is a registered charity which was set up to support and raise awareness for the homeless people within the London Borough of Sutton and surrounding areas.

Over the past 10 years, with the support of local business, the local community and fundraising efforts, we have been able to grow and expand into our own, permanent base in December 2019.  From here we are able to not only provide the essentials such as food, showers and clothing supplies, but we are able to also offer our service users a range of health services, benefit advice, wellbeing and educational based courses, clothes, washing facilities and most importantly, a place where people are seen, heard and understood. We also support people to find secure accommodation. In the past 3 months we have found homes for 13 people.

Job Purpose:

The Fundraising Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing fundraising strategies to secure financial support for the organization.

Our annual fundraising target is set at c250k (cash income) plus additional targets for in-kind donations, preloved donations and donated services. These support the growth and sustainability of our operations, ensuring we can continue to provide essential items and services to local people experiencing homelessness.

We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our Finance team, supporting the Head of Global Controllers and Deputy Financial Controller in ensuring charity tax compliance across the organisation. 
 
Key responsibilities would include:

• Preparation and submission of VAT and Corporation Tax returns
• Providing expert tax advice and design - Monitoring tax developments and advising teams and senior leaders on complex charity tax matters
• Maintaining and reviewing tax processes and systems

We are looking for individuals who will thrive in a fast-paced, rewarding role helping to change the lives of young people by taking up a permanent role as a part-time Programme Support Tutor. You will work closely with our existing team, supporting the delivery and organisation of the IntoUniversity programme in the centre.

The main duties of the role

To deliver the IntoUniversity programme effectively to children and young people in different settings, including schools-based workshops, Academic Support sessions and educational visits. This includes positive behaviour management and adherence to the IntoUniversity safeguarding policy.

• To assist with the organisation and delivery of the Academic Support, FOCUS and Mentoring Programmes.
• To assist the IntoUniversity Centre Leader in liaising with schools and other partner bodies, in organising the classroom and resources and in planning project delivery. 
• To update and maintain IntoUniversity displays, publicity and resources.
• To work with the IntoUniversity Centre Leader to recruit children and young people to the programme, including after-school Academic Support and FOCUS Weeks. 
• To develop educational resources and worksheets for use across all IntoUniversity programmes. 
• To ensure compliance with all necessary regulations and legal requirements, including the Children’s Act,  Children and Young People (Scotland) Act, Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act, Protection of Vulnerable  Groups (Scotland) Act, and legislation and policies related to Equal Opportunities and Health & Safety. 
• To champion diversity and inclusion in your role at all times, referring to the Diversity and Inclusion Staff Responsibilities Guide. 
• To undertake any task that may be requested from time to time that may be consistent with the nature and scope of this post.

Days of employment (if term time only)
You will be employed 188 days (of 4 hours each) per year, made up as follows: 

• 164 days of work (inclusive of additional days below)
• 18 days of paid annual leave (to be taken outside of local school term times and on any bank holidays  occurring during term time). For the avoidance of doubt, non-working time during school holidays which is in excess of your holiday entitlement shall be unpaid.

Additional 32 hours (or 8 days of 4 hours each)

These will be agreed between you and your line-manager, and may include days during school holidays. They will typically include three whole team meetings, one delivery team meeting and the annual staff conference. These will be pro-rated based on when you join in the academic year.

Young Carers Support Coordinator (Families Lead)

Winchester, Hampshire (Hybrid)

Our client is a small independent charity who supports young people who take on caring responsibilities for an unwell or disabled family member between the ages of 8 - 25. They provide programmes of support to empower Young Carers to look after their physical and emotional wellbeing and have experiences they would otherwise miss out on.

They believe that Young Carers are children first, and should be free to develop emotionally, and take full advantages of opportunities for educational achievement and life success.

As a Young Carers Support Coordinator (Families Lead), you will work as part of a small dynamic team to deliver their support programmes for Young Carers. This will include supporting their exploration programme and activities programme and young adult carers programme.

You will also coordinate the organisations referral and assessment process form start to finish. This will include database entry, contacting referrers, allocating cases and booking and carrying out assessments. You will also provide on-going support to families via phone, referrals, signposting and attending relevant multi-agency meetings.

They run an Exploration Programme which focuses on wellbeing – this currently runs on Wednesday afternoon/evenings during term time.

They run an Activities Programme which focuses on new experiences and respite – these are daytimes during school holidays. Usually, two or three per school holiday week.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Archivist and Records Manager to join the Rhodes Trust, Oxford. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the Rhodes Trust Archive.

We are looking for the successful candidate to start with us in December.

The role

The role is responsible for managing all aspects of the Rhodes Trust Archive, including maintaining an enquiries service for internal and external users, appraising and accessioning new material and cataloguing records. This includes both hard copy records in off-site storage and electronic records, in the organisation’s digital archive. There is also some responsibility for managing current and semi-current records within the organisation, including working with colleagues on data protection and retention.

The role will be responsible for;

· Maintaining an archives enquiries service for the general public, staff, Trustees and Scholars, including carrying out research on behalf of users, and arranging access to view archive material

· Appraisal, selection and cataloguing of uncatalogued records, including both hard copy and digital material

· Assisting the Trust with the ongoing management of records under data protection legislation and good practice

· Evaluation and implementation of digital archiving, including establishing procedures for ongoing transferal of records to the archive

· Promotional work including displays, and presentations, and writing articles on topics relevant to archives and records.

· Role modelling the Trust’s organisational values of commitment, inclusion, belonging, growth and innovation.

· Carrying out any other duties relevant to the role, as requested.

Essential skills, experience and qualifications:

· A first degree, and a postgraduate qualification recognised by the Archives and Records Association (ARA) is essential

· Working knowledge of GDPR

· High level written and spoken communication skills including the ability to draft correspondence independently

· Confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy

· A high level of initiative, efficiency, and attention to detail

· Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively, and work without direct supervision

· The ability to undertake research in order to analyse and understand the archives

· Proficient Microsoft Office and database skills, including an aptitude to use IT to best enhance efficiency, and adapt to rapidly evolving IT packages and systems.

Age UK Redbridge, Barking & Havering offers an activity centre to residents of Redbridge aged 55 or above, to use for exercise and craft among other classes, and to enjoy light refreshments and a daily, 2 course, freshly prepared lunch.

A part time cook is required, to provide lunches (main course and dessert) and work alongside a small team to include; two other part time cooks and approximately 12 volunteers.  The centre is overseen by an onsite manager who will look after the day to day running of the centre, and who line manages the cooks and volunteers.

The ability to work independently and with the help of a kitchen assistant volunteer is essential in order to prepare between 10 and 30 meals per day. We are looking for a qualified, experienced cook, with recent experience. You will need to have proof of relevant Food Hygiene training and an understanding of different dietary requirements, as well as allergy legislation and health and safety knowledge relevant to Kitchen work.

You would be expected to assist the manager in planning meals to keep within budgets and to assist with the preparation for special event occasion menus or other ad hoc catering that may be required.
