ABOUT THE ROLE

A new opportunity has arisen to join a new contract in Lewisham. You will support over 2 properties which supports residents and participants with acute and/or complex mental health needs who are supported/treated in the community in their recovery as appose to hospital inpatient care. You will focus on rehabilitating and reintegrating our residents and participants and help our residents and participants achieve their personal goals and gain a level of recovery that enables them to return home or move into supported housing.

Shift Pattern: Rota based Monday to Sunday between 08:00 and 19:30 

ABOUT THE SERVICE

The Integrated Community Rehabilitation Services will enable people to receive a community-based offer and avoid admission into a rehabilitation unit. 

The service is across 2 properties in Lewisham (one 8 self contained rooms, and another with 6 self contained rooms) located in close proximity to each another and both will be staffed 24/7 by a minimum of 2 Mental Health Recovery Workers (MHRW) at all times, at each site. This will include Shift Leads to support the Management Team. 

These addresses are a short walk from each other and are served by good public transport links; close to Bellingham, Catford and Catford Bridge train stations, and close to bus stops.

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience working with people with multiple complex backgrounds/needs, mental health, substance misuse, alcohol, and behaviours 
• Previous experience creating co - produced support plans, key working, and care planning, providing appropriate interventions for service users
• IT Proficiency; ability to learn new software and basic Microsoft
• Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs
• Understanding and/or practical knowledge of the social and societal marginalisation that can be attached to people with various challenging backgrounds, mental health, addiction, exploitation, homelessness, and previous convictions

What we would like, but not essential:

• Understanding and/or practical application of key legislation regarding social care, housing, criminal justice, and mental health
• Ability to Recognise signs of deteriorating mental health and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent crisis

ABOUT YOU

Ideally, we would like someone with an interest in IT and have undertaken relevant IT qualifications, ideally at NVQ Level 3 or 4 although we will consider applications from those willing to work towards this.

• Day to day management of the service desk system.
• Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support requests and take ownership of end-user requests.

• Undertake scheduled maintenance to ensure all computers are patched with important software and system updates.
• Administer Microsoft 365 admin centres, software systems, operating systems, applications, directory services, and any other updates and additional tasks related to system administration.
• Support with the onboarding process, ensure new starters have the correct log ins, equipment, and relevant training as necessary.
• Engage with staff to understand their needs and support our employees in the use of computer systems and applications.
• Learn and manage other digital programs within the organisation and support training and development for all staff and smaller teams where required.

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Appropriate academic/professional qualification: Minimum of GCSE, BTEC, and/or A-Level qualification in IT, English and Mathematics
• Experience of managing Microsoft Windows client operating systems – Windows 10/11
• Experience of administering and managing Microsoft 0365 admin centres
• Excellent problem-solving ability with a methodical and logical approach, able to work proactively to resolve challenges and mitigate further issues
• IT Proficiency at advanced level, ability to learn new software’s with ease and able to deliver training and support to others

What we would like, but not essential:

• Experience of working in first-, and second-line roles within agreed Service Level Agreements
• Experience in a similar support/service delivery environment, supporting with issues and incident management
• Additional professional Microsoft certifications
• Experience within a similar role in a similar sized and type of organisation

About You

Help For Heroes are looking for a highly skilled, professional, and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our expanding clinical team. Are you a committed, flexible OT with a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience looking to expand your skills and have the opportunity to work with the Armed Forces Community? If you have the ability to work independently but still enjoy having the support of a team, you could contribute your skills and experience to improve quality of life. Are you happy to embrace a flexible work pattern as the position will involve frequent travel to meet veterans in their own homes and communities and other organisational commitments including inductions, training and team meetings which may require some overnight stays?  If you have experience of delivering Occupational Therapy in both physical and mental health conditions, then your holistic approach will help improve lives. Sleep difficulties and sensory needs are a large part of the role to enable veterans to live as they want to so experience in these areas would be beneficial.

About the Role

You will have the opportunity to work in the homes and local communities and be able to support them with physical and mental health needs that are creating barriers to meaningful occupation. By carrying your own defined caseload, you will be able to identify barriers that are affecting veterans’ ability to be as independent as possible and live the life they want to live. You will be assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating Occupational Therapy interventions for those who have served our country and improving the quality of life of our Heroes. About the Team

You will be joining the clinical team at Help for Heroes to provide community based Occupational Therapy input to armed forces veterans. We are resourceful in finding ways to deliver what is right and fair in the healthcare domain. Our aim is to champion the Armed Forces Community and to do this as one team of OTs and Registered Nurses. The Peer Support In-Reach Service is a partnership between several local Minds. Peer Support Workers and Senior Peer Support Workers, who have direct lived experience of mental health issues, are working on in-patient wards in Croydon, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Wandsworth to provide recovery-focused peer support to people as they leave hospital and journey towards being settled in the community and living independently.

South East London Mind have a vacancy for a part-time Senior Peer Support Worker to join the team in Lewisham and line manage a Peer Support Worker.

The successful candidate will have personal lived experience of mental health problems, as well as experience of managing staff or volunteers. You will need to be able to travel around the local area to meet your clients in the community and work in hospitals.

You will use your lived experience to help people build skills to develop independence, connect with family and friends, pursue social or vocational interests, get more involved in their local community and stay healthy and mentally well. Your support will be person-centred and may include mentoring, coaching, facilitating access to community activities and providing practical and emotional support. You will meet people before they leave the ward and work with them to develop their own support plan, empowering them as they transition back into the community.

In this Senior Technical Lead - Entrepreneurship role, you will use your deep expertise in innovative finance and enterprise development to lead and support the delivery of enterprise development programmes, both existing and upcoming, across various countries.

You will help shape SCUK's commercial strategies by providing strategic and commercial insights, guide existing initiatives, and sharing through best practice.

You will be instrumental to achieve the Innovation Hive's system change goals for entrepreneurship as a means to delivering impact, influencing not just the Save the Children movement, but also the broader NGO sector and beyond.

The Innovation Hive are a team focussed on achieving transformative, systemic, change for children, for our organisation, for our sector and beyond. To do this we run a corporate venturing function at SCUK backing innovation projects that will help us maximise the impact potential of existing and new resources, and increase funding directed towards Save the Children's mission. Our purpose is clear: to transform, build and champion new growth opportunities and business models, moving at pace and collaborating inside and outside of or organisation to do this.

Key Accountabilities include:
Technical

• Use deep technical expertise and proven experience on innovative finance and delivering enterprise development programmes to lead on the delivery and/or support of existing (eg. 3 Ukraine, Kumwe Hub) and upcoming (eg Turkey, Nigeria, Ethiopia) Enterprise Development programmes to exit point.
• Use proven commercial experience to support the development and delivery of the strategy to explore SCUK's commercial opportunities such as shared value partnerships.
• Provide guidance and advice on existing SCUK commercial initiatives.
• Work on the development of a “best-practice” advisory service for SCUK to support Enterprise Development programmes for local contexts.
• Working collaboratively across SCUK, Save the Children International, LIFT Lab, Save the Children Global Ventures, Kumwe Hub and Country Offices and others to design and support the implementation of those projects.
• Lead all aspects of an end-to-end opportunity, including origination, due diligence, design, committee approval, go-to-market strategy and oversight of delivery.

• Provide strategic and analytical insight through the generation of accurate and compelling reports and presentations, including for internal and external stakeholders.

Thought Leadership

• Influence and engage senior leaders with gravitas to build high-level buy-in for and understanding of your work.

• Draft and preparation of proposals, pitch decks, and associated materials to engage diverse client groups (e.g. the Innovation Hive's Investment Committee and relevant board steering committees) to ensure the Hive's activities are communicated highly effectively and strategically. 

About You
To be successful, it is important that you have the following skills and experience:

• Knowledge and proven multi-year experience on the strategic implementation and operationalization of Enterprise Development programmes.
• In-depth knowledge of current best practices in enterprise development and innovative finance, combined with established connections with industry experts and relevant networks, enabling the leveraging of these relationships for strategic advantage and collaborative opportunities.
• Demonstrated commercial expertise with a strong ability to guide and enhance commercial initiatives, leveraging a comprehensive understanding of market trends and business strategies to maximize impact and sustainability.

The Specialist Housing Advocate will work within a dynamic, fast paced team to provide intervention, advocacy and support that empowers women and ensures that the voice of survivors informs every stage of their journey towards improved safety. This is a new and exciting service, and we are looking for someone passionate about ensuring that all survivors of domestic abuse are able to access safe and appropriate accommodation which meets their needs.

To be successful as Specialist Housing Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:

You will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on survivors and their children, and of best practice within the domestic abuse and housing sectors. You will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. The post holder will hold a caseload of survivors and will also be required to support Advance’s duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.

We are looking for a skilled nature conservation professional with a broad range of experience of managing dynamic nature recovery projects across different habitats. Job Purpose

This role sits within our new mental health Prevention Hub - which is a drop-in service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed, seeking support and advice for their mental health, there and then. This service is a 9 month pilot project and will initially operate 11am-7pm Monday-Friday, however there may be a need to cover weekends/late nights, depending on the need of our clients and service growth. 

Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone on a one-to-one or group basis to individuals experiencing mental health distress. This will consist of 1:1 support; de-escalating and providing interventions, signposting for specialised or longer-term support, and delivering collaborative self-management plans with clients to improve mental wellbeing. The aim of this service is to de-escalate, and provide holistic wellbeing plans. 

The objectives of the service include:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health distress, in Spelthorne
• To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation, planned wellbeing activities etc. 
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support
• To raise awareness of mental health services available with the goal to improve long term mental health and reduce social isolation
• To increase self-management skills of those accessing the service
• To reduce the use of police, ambulance and statutory mental health services whilst experiencing crisis.
• To reduce the use of statutory crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health without positive outcomes for the individual.

The Role

The role of the Prevention Hub Coordinator will be to support the rest of the team in delivering interventions on a one-to-one and group basis. The role will also involve triaging and assessing all clients accessing the service, signposting and delivering collaborative self-management plans with clients to improve mental wellbeing.
