LMK (Let Me Know) is on a mission to change that. We are a young and thriving charity providing education about healthy and unhealthy behaviours so that young people have the knowledge and skills to avoid abuse and thrive in their relationships. We work in schools, community organisations and workplaces across London. 

LMK is growing at pace and we are ambitious in our plans for the future. We’ve already engaged 15,000 young people and professionals in our workshops in our first 4 years and we want to reach 10,000 young people per year by 2025-26.

Job Purpose

The purpose of the Programme Coordinator is co-ordinate with all parties (Community Engagement Manager, the Programme Manager, LMK Leaders and the host organisations) to enable LMK to deliver high quality workshops for young people/youth work professionals/workplaces. 

Acting as the lynchpin of the organisation’s delivery team, the Programme Coordinator takes the workshop brief from the LMK Community Engagement Manager and then works with the Programme Manager to secure facilitators (LMK leaders), ensures the host organisation receives all supporting information, and provides LMK Leaders with the resources they need to deliver the workshop effectively. This role is also responsible for regular reporting about workshop bookings and delivery. 

Reporting to our CEO, the successful candidate will be part of LMK’s core staff team. You will work with LMK staff, LMK Leaders, members of our Youth Advisory Board, trustees and key stakeholders to develop and implement our long-term strategy. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

• Provide excellent customer service to organisations who are hosting LMK workshops, ensuring that all communication is timely and accurate, and any questions are responded to in full.

• Liaise with the Programme Manager and LMK Leaders to ensure there is clear understanding around their areas of expertise, availability and any specific considerations that need to be taken into account when delivering workshops.

• Open up opportunities to deliver workshops to any Leader applicable, ensuring the allocation of workshops is done fairly and consistently.

• Ensure LMK leaders have the information and resources required to deliver their workshop.

• Work closely with the Research and Evaluation Manager to ensure that the correct evaluation surveys are made available to workshop participants. 

• Work with our Head of Fundraising to track workshop delivery against funder commitments.

• Keep the CRM system data up to date in a timely way.

• Produce regular reports for the CEO on the booking and delivery of workshops, as well as any ad-hoc reports requested. 

• Share Leader evaluation feedback from workshops with Leaders.

• Check invoices submitted by LMK leaders, and work with the Programme Manager to get them approved. 

• Support the Programme Manager to organise LMK Leader Huddles and training events.

• Comply with our policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, confidentiality, complaints and data protection.

 

Person specification

• At least 2 years’ experience in an event management/admin management/executive assistant/operations role where there was a strong requirement to work with multiple stakeholders internally and externally.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an excellent track record of customer service.

• Proven ability to work well within a team.

• Highly organised to manage a diverse workload with excellent time management and ability to pay attention to detail.

• Excellent organisational skills, with a keen attention to detail.

• Creative thinker with the ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent IT skills across core MS/Google packages, ideally with experience of CRM use

The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham is an Anglican centre of Pilgrimage in North Norfolk which traces its roots back to the vision of the Lady Richeldis in 1061. The original Shrine was destroyed at the Reformation and the current Shrine was restored in the 1920’s and 1930’s as a result of the ministry of Fr Alfred Hope Patten.

The Shrine is owned and governed by Walsingham College Trust Association Ltd, a charitable company which also owns a retreat house in North Yorkshire. The shareholders of the company are the College of Guardians who also exercise a ceremonial role.

Purpose or Role

To ensure that effective financial systems are in place across the site which provide Directors and Department Heads with information necessary for making decisions. Person Specification

A strong background in Finance with good knowledge of Charity Accounts

General

The Shrine employs around 75 members of staff and every year it welcomes a steady stream of volunteers who offer help in return for board and lodging.

There are 137 bedrooms on site and around 10,500 pilgrims come each year for a residential pilgrimage typically lasting two to three nights. Meals are provided in the Pilgrim Refectory which can seat around 200 residents and produces up to 85,000 meals a year. In addition, the Shrine welcomes a good number of day pilgrims per year.

As well as the pilgrimage programme, which is run at weekends and midweek, each year the Shrine runs a series of special events and retreats. There is an important outreach to young pilgrims which is headed up by the Director of Education. This includes educational visits from schools and a range of events for different ages, the most ambitious of which is the annual Youth Pilgrimage.

Within the beautiful gardens there is a Cafe Bar which is open to pilgrims, tourists and visitors. The Shrine Shop is situated in the heart of the village and offers a wide selection of religious items and gifts.

Responsibilities:

HR & Operations

● Manage Coney’s operations, resources and materials to ensure our activities and processes are high-quality, fit for purpose and well-managed.

● Oversee Coney’s remote-working and office systems, including IT systems, schedules and other resources, ensuring that they are fit for purpose and cost-effective.

● Run payroll (including sending payslips and other pay documents, scheduling salary payments and reporting to HMRC) and ensure pensions, PAYE taxes and National Insurance are calculated and paid on time.

● Create and submit quarterly VAT returns using Quickbooks

Stakeholder Management & Fundraising

● Work alongside the JCEOs to maintain high level contact and dialogue with Coney’s key stakeholders.

● Manage Coney’s Friends scheme and support effective communication with funders.

● Alongside the rest of the core team, identify opportunities for fundraising, commercial projects and consultancy, building relationships and contributing to funding proposals as required.

Marketing & Communications

● Support the Marketing & Admin Officer and Executive Programme Director / JCEO to prepare and execute a marketing and communications plan – strategically positioning Coney’s work across communities and sectors.

● Support the Marketing & Admin Officer to ensure regular communication with Coney networks (newsletters, social media and other relationships) and produce effective communication and ticketing systems for events and projects as required.

As our Finance Manager you will be at the heart of the charity’s operations and play a vital role in helping us embark on a new 3-year strategy. About the role

The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the church and its buildings, with responsibility for: Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Fire Assessment, Risk Management, Infrastructure and Accessibility issues.

Alongside this the Operations Manager will line manage the office team (two part-time roles) and support the work of the Property Committee. Cooperation with the Treasurer to co-ordinate financial operations and budgets will also be required. Attending the PCC (church council/ trustees) meetings (non-voting) when appropriate will give the Operations Manager a greater understanding of the mission and ministry of the church, and some administration tasks may be delegated to the Operations Manager at these meetings (eg Minutes or Reports).

This role demands the ability to take initiative, lead clearly and consider detail as well as the wider picture. Because of the nature of the organisation, leadership and practice must be informed and shaped by both Christian faith and ethics as well as legislation and policies.

The Head of Counselling has overall responsibility for the smooth running of the clinical services, the recruitment of suitable counsellors, supervisors, and Strides HCC team to ensure the maintenance of high standards of service delivery. 

The role is an integral part of Strides, working with the CEO and other Heads of services to support the continuous development and delivery of services in line with Strides’ strategy. 

The main purpose of the role is to provide effective management and leadership of Strides HCC. The role focuses on the strategic development of the project, the financial management and financial sustainability of its operations, and the overseeing of all aspects of the clinical service delivery and clinical governance. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To be accountable for all aspects of clinical governance in the service, reporting back to the CEO as required.

• Organise and chair the steering group meetings, review minutes and report back on actions and progress.

• Responsible for ensuring service(s) meet contractual, funding and legal obligations as applicable.

• Conduct regular management / quality audits and provide management reports on performance.

• Contribute to organisational policy and procedure development.

• Produce and revise service-specific policies, and oversee their implementation across the HCC service.

• Accountable for ensuring robust information management is in place; supporting the continuous Strides' information management systems and utilising management information reporting to assist management oversight of performance and to inform service developments.

• Alongside facilities management and service manager to proactively ensure that all key elements of effective health 

STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT

• Develop and embed deliverable annual plans for each service. Work with and support the other Heads of services      and safety management are in place for all services, including delegating specific duties as appropriate in each service and the SLT in promoting the work of Strides.

• To sustain existing and develop new business for HCC by raising the profile of HCC and by identifying, engaging,      and  building relationships with new clients and other mental health services.

• Develop professional networks and partnerships with a range of key stakeholders to aid service development.

• Anticipate and develop strategies to resolve service challenges or risks involving appropriate colleagues.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

• To set an annual operational budget for each service in conjunction with service managers, finance team and senior  management.

• Act as budget holder for designated area, responsible for monitoring and controlling assigned budget, taking              corrective action where appropriate, and reporting as required.

• Work with service managers to ensure all financial and administrative processes are delivered to a high standard      within policies and procedures.

• To identify possible sources of income, working with fundraising colleagues on sourcing funding for service                development.

SAFEGUARDING

• Be responsible and accountable for ensuring HCC fully embeds excellent safeguarding practice and are fully aware  of organisational safeguarding policies and procedures.

• Act as key source of support, advice, and expertise for safeguarding for the service.

• Together with the Clinical Manager act as points of contact for counsellors and supervisors in case of urgent clinical  questions/issues. 

PEOPLE LEADERSHIP

• Create clear vision and objectives for service(s) under your leadership; empowering, motivating people to be fully      engaged and participate in the work and provide high standard clinical service.

• Through line management responsibilities, develop accountable service managers with clear expectations and          objectives, ensuring learning needs are assessed and met.

• To have regular, clear communication with direct reports and facilitate a ‘feedback loop’ to ensure your teams are fully  informed of organisational decision making and updates and team members are provided mechanisms to feed into organisational developments. 

• To ensure that staff operate at the level of competency specified for their posts; to coach, support and develop staff to enhance their levels of competency and to take effective steps to address underperformance.

• To work with service managers and HR team to ensure the best possible management of team members, ensuring    all matters are managed in line with Strides policies and procedures.

• Line manage the Service Manager and the Clinical Manager, and the Clinical Supervisors.

• Monitor and support the work of Supervisors & organise and chair quarterly supervisors’ meetings.

• Together with the Clinical Manager, organise an annual seminar program for HCC Counsellors and Assessors.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To contribute to Strides’ overall strategy and business plan.

• To work collaboratively and contribute to positive working relationships with team colleagues, wider Strides                colleagues and volunteers and to participate in reflective practice.

ICT is critical to delivery of the Hope into Action vision of every church lovingly making a home for those experiencing homelessness. You will manage the outsourcing of IT contracts, including help desk, finance, CRM databases, mobiles, landline, internet and printers / copiers. Oversee the on-going development of the SharePoint Online site as a robust efficient tool for day-to-day use. You will introduce new ways to monitor the satisfaction with ICT across the network and take responsibility for data security.
