The International Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing complex, high-risk financial operations related to our partner's international grantmaking and emergency relief support. This role combines financial leadership with flexibility and responsiveness to needs in volatile contexts, particularly for grassroots movements and activist groups globally - managing overseas financial transactions, handling multi-currency payments, managing exchange rate risks.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Finance Oversight

- Lead all financial processes for international grants: budgeting, transfers, reconciliations, reporting.
- Manage multi-currency payments into high-risk regions; ensure compliance, mitigate fraud/diversion risk.
- Strengthen internal controls and financial systems for expanding global operations.
- Be agile to respond quickly to humanitarian needs.

Risk & Compliance

- Ensure due diligence (KYC, AML) and enhanced vetting particularly for overseas partners and informal/unincorporated networks.
- Comply with HMRC and UK banking rules, counter-terrorism finance regulations.  Work with the Compliance, Risk & Innovation team to improve policies/procedures.

Client & Stakeholder Management

- Act as finance lead for philanthropic clients working in relief and grassroots activism.
- Provide advice on financial risk, best practices.
- Foster relationships with grassroots partners; ensure transparent, accessible reporting.
- Apply trauma-informed approaches in working with clients in conflict or activist settings.

Humanitarian & Global Finance Expertise

- Use knowledge of international finance especially in difficult contexts (e.g. unincorporated groups, sanctions, restricted jurisdictions) to design processes that satisfy both donors and grassroots partners.
- Monitor emerging risks globally and help shape responses.

Essential Experience & Knowledge

• Significant experience in finance, grantmaking or compliance in international/ humanitarian/ philanthropic settings.
• Experience in managing overseas financial transactions, handling multi-currency payments, managing exchange rate risks etc.
• Experience dealing with high-risk jurisdictions and partners, including unincorporated or grassroots networks.
• Familiarity with due diligence, risk frameworks, KYC/AML, UK charity and banking regulations.

Desirable

• Arabic (spoken/written) skills preferred
• Past work in NGOs, fiscal hosts, or international grant making.
• Experience with cryptocurrencies.

The Role

This is a pivotal role within our Communications Team that will lead, own, and grow our organic social presence across multiple platforms. The successful candidate will have:

• Experience of developing and managing social media content strategies with the aim of increasing brand awareness, engagement, and donor conversions.

As Fundraising Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting RFUK’s income generation and donor engagement strategies. This important role supports the operational delivery of the charity’s busy events programme and supports the team and running the office.

The events programme is diverse - from drinks receptions and report launches to events at agricultural shows across the UK - and support on administration for the wider charity, including some communications activity. Through these events, we drive awareness of our work supporting family farms and rural communities. In doing so we also garner support from funders to tackle the issues facing the countryside, ensuring our work reaches a diverse audience to raise awareness.

Under the direction of the Head of External Affairs, and with support of the wider staff team, you will be responsible for coordinating and running all the charity’s events, including full administrative support, booking venues, the invitation process and guest lists, organisation of collateral (including marketing and promotional information), catering arrangements and researching and inviting speakers. You will be also ensuring effective follow-up to each event such as wider dissemination of event content, evaluation, and reporting.

Working on events will account for approximately 75% of the role. The remaining time will be spent working across the charity undertaking a variety of administrative tasks. This will include supporting the team with mailings, coordination of specific activities and some general office management. Whilst reporting to the Head of External Affairs, this role will work closely with several team members, particularly the Executive Support & Governance Manager, providing a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and experience of different aspects of the charity’s work.

What we are looking for

This is an important role, and we’d like you to have a sound working knowledge of end-to-end event management and office experience within a charity or other professional environment.  To be successful you will be required to demonstrate a confident attitude supported by good written and verbal communication skills.  You must be comfortable using Microsoft office suite, events management platforms and our CRM system (currently Salesforce). You will be able to manage your time and prioritise your workload.  An ability to engage with a wide range of people is also advantageous. Most of all is the desire to provide first class customer service.

Role purpose:

The Procurement team is crucial to ensuring ShelterBox is equipped with the supply infrastructure we need to work, fundraise, budget, manage data and ultimately deliver vital aid. In addition to working on Indirect Items, the Procurement Team is a skills resource for the rest of the business, identifying and supporting with best practice in procurement and negotiations at all levels.

The Senior Buyer will join a busy and dynamic Procurement team of three individuals (two Senior Buyers and the Procurement Manager) and will quickly become integral to the day-to-day running of the Procurement function. It is expected that the individual will have substantial procurement experience.

The Senior Buyer will be responsible for a variety of Indirect spend and suppliers. Additionally, the Senior Buyer will support the Supply Chain team and the rest of the organisation as a subject matter expert on negotiation and procurement activities.

Who are we looking for?

ShelterBox is seeking a proactive individual with proven procurement experience to add capacity to the team. Attention to detail and diligence will be at the forefront of your skillset and you'll need to be comfortable with numbers, data and sensitively posing challenging questions to understand business requirements.

We are looking for someone with excellent communications skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks with competing deadlines. The individual should be confident with developing and maintaining relationships both internally with other departments and externally with suppliers and partners.

This role would suit someone currently in a Senior Procurement Role who is looking to expand their responsibilities and skillset. CIPs qualification is desirable. Charity experience is appreciated, but we welcome applicants with appropriate experience in any sector.

Main role and responsibilities:

Ensure effective procurement of goods, services and works by conducting market research, performing supplier due diligence, implementing rigorous contracting procedures, managing contracts, negotiating favourable terms, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and preparing and maintaining documentation to guarantee best value, efficiency, and accountability to both donors and recipients.

Handling a variety of stakeholders and manage expectations as well as delivering on promised outcomes.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Management of a broad range of categories across the organisation, focussing predominantly on indirect, non-stock purchases.
• Work with Senior Management to identify procurement improvement priorities by analysing forecast spend, supply markets and specification options.
• Design, plan and lead the tender process for a variety of buying categories up to a contract value of £2m.
• Contribute to the specification-writing process, leading to formal technical, performance and supply specifications that can be used in tendering; it is expected that the individual will write the final versions of those specifications and hold them on file.
• Regularly review and improve procurement processes for allocated categories, adapting to organisational strategic change.
• Working with the team, assess and manage risk across all allocated categories.
• Write, negotiate and sign off contracts with suppliers to achieve the maximum value for ShelterBox.
• Develop and maintain appropriate supplier and contract management processes for all allocated categories.
• Report on cost savings and avoidance and added value.
• Upskill individuals across the organisation on commercial processes, offering strategic advice and ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Manage procurement-led projects such as procedure implementation, and software introduction.
• Develop and deliver sustainability improvements within the procurement function according to the Environmental Policy.
• Keep up to date with legislative changes, industry trends and market developments.
• Sign off on supply chain compliance as per the delegation of authority level
• Maintain departmental databases.
• Ensure that the procurement administration is kept up to date and that all filing is in accordance with policy.

LSFRC is an accommodation based service, set across Lambeth including hub sites situated in Brixton and West Norwood. The service provides care and support to over 60 customers living with enduring long term mental health. We also provide a service for two short-term post hospital discharge schemes for customers, who need support following hospital admission.

The role of our Support Worker plays a crucial role in fulfilling our customers' expectations, making a positive difference and where appropriate supporting customers to step down to a lower level of support. Our Support Workers are guided and mentored by 2 team leaders alongside a Contract Manager and as part of the team you will be developing and sustaining a good quality service to all our customers.

An essential part of this role involves developing good partnership working with a range of professionals and maintaining excellent record keeping in line with our compliance management. You will also be required to oversee support planning, Risk Management Plans, and Key-working.

The Role

This is not your average 9-5.

The Brain Charity is a Liverpool-based national charity supporting adults, children and their families affected by any of more than 600 neurological and related conditions.
