We are looking for an experienced people manager for our Skills Development team. This team creates and delivers internal training for Centrepoint colleagues. This role will lead a small team of trainers who design and deliver training both under an existing curriculum and new developments as demand requires. We are ideally looking for a manager with a background in Health & Social care, Social Housing, local authority, charity sector and/or delivering and developing training.
What you’ll be doing
The Skills Development Manager is responsible for a team who are developing a robust, diverse, inclusive and inspiring curriculum across the organisation. We are developing a large amount of new and exciting courses across a wide range of subjects, so we are open to individuals with a variety of experience. To ensure colleagues are suitability supported the role holder will be responsible for liaising with managers, HR and other functions to ensure that team members have access to training that fits around organisational requirements and that all team members are safe and competent.
The role will also include elements of operational management such as ensuring a demand lead programme of training, reporting to demonstrate progress and highlight areas of focus, processing invoices, supporting staff completing external apprenticeships and external stakeholder management.

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for experienced Support and Progression Officers to join our Berwick Street and Westminster Housing Support services based in Westminster. We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Together with our partners, we support thousands of homeless young people each year.
Berwick Street service is a high support needs 24hours service for people aged 16 to 25yrs. Many clients will be care leavers or have experienced homelessness.
Our Westminster services is a low support service at the final stage of the Westminster’s Pathway. The service aim is to improve the life chances of single homeless or vulnerably housed young people, supporting them to develop independent living skills in supported temporary accommodation. The service works with young people in shared flats.
In this role you will:
- Work face to face with young people and support them to achieve their goals and independence.
- Work independently and as part of a team to ensure the highest possible standards of accommodation
- Undertake initial and ongoing needs/risk assessments for young people
- Manage your own caseload of young people, providing holistic support in line with their needs and aspirations
- Liaise with multiple agencies to ensure effective communication across the service and externally including social work teams, YOS, health, and other statutory services and voluntary agencies
- Make internal and external referrals to a wide range of statutory and voluntary agencies for specialist support and Employment and Training opportunities
- Support young people to manage their rent accounts through liaison with the DWP, Social Services and building their own personal budgeting skills

About Us
Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity is looking for dynamic, passionate and motivated Support and Progression Officers that can provide quality support to our young people to join our Barnet Foyer service in Cricklewood. We help young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Together with our partners, we support thousands of homeless young people each year.
The service accommodates 24 single young people, usually, between the ages of 16 and 21. Young people stay at the service for up to 2 years before moving to more permanent accommodation. Barnet Service is quite a large building and offers a number of additional resources including a fully equipped gym. Barnet is a diversified environment with young people and colleagues from diverse ethnic backgrounds, and the service and other stakeholders celebrate and maximize the opportunities that diversity present.
This role involves working 37.5 hours per week on a rota Monday to Friday (not including Bank Holidays). All staff must be available to work the hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm. You will be working with a team of three other Support and Progression Officers and the manager. Two staff members work together for each shift.
In this role you will:

Role Summary
To support the development and delivery of community investment projects that deliver successful, measurable outcomes for TCH residents and communities, often working in conjunction with other TCH teams and external partners to achieve those outcomes.
The projects will focus on our key Community Investment Strategy themes; currently: tackling poverty and inequality; embedding well-being; customer co-creation and sharing power; community activities and programmes.
The role links with others across the organisation including our internal Customer Insight and Resident Engagement teams to understand our communities and supports our wider housing teams to deliver initiatives for the benefit of our residents.
The office base would depend on applicant. The successful applicant would need to travel between the different offices when required.
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of existing and new projects, initiatives and services that meet the aims of the Community Investment Strategy.
- Ensure these projects are outcome focused, that programmes/services are responsive to residents’ needs and reflect best practice and corporate priorities and meet regulatory expectations.
- To co-ordinate Community Investment projects and activities working in conjunction with residents, the wider organisation, contractors, and community partners.
- Support the effective monitoring and evaluation of community investment projects, ensuring that monitoring returns are received in agreed timescales and are accurate and outcome focused. Produce relevant performance reports and data as required.
- To provide support for the effective brokerage, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of social value across TCH contracts.
- Use customer data and insight to support our Community Investment work and to help build links with sections of the community who are not currently accessing our services.
- Attend networking and best practice groups as required. Maintain awareness of relevant government legislation and sector best practice and use this to inform your work on local activities and initiatives.
- Support the Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) process, helping to develop and monitor project briefs, donation frameworks, and grant funding (when grant processes are open), that respond to social needs and include measurable milestones, outputs and outcomes, budget management, risk mitigation and procurement. Manage service level agreements and freelance contractors.
- In conjunction with colleagues ensure that all areas of service delivery are effectively monitored and evaluated via the application of impact assessments, key performance indicators, social value outcomes and value for money reporting.
- Contribute to the review and development of systems, processes, and services to support TCH’s customer experience and service improvement aspirations, including through learning from complaints and feedback, and implementing change.
- Support our 3rd sector charity partners in ways that help them meet our residents’ needs, including supporting them to understand need and priorities based on data and resident insight.
- In conjunction with your manager and the PR & Communications Team promote community investment and social value projects, and outcomes. To demonstrate to residents, colleagues, and other stakeholders how we make a positive contribution to the neighbourhoods in which we work, that we listen to residents’ views and act on them and how projects and initiatives demonstrate our approach to treating residents fairly and with respect.

Working arrangements

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our Birmingham office (B37 7YE).

About the role
As the Area Service Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring our contracts with partners and/or commissioners deliver to the highest standards, in a way that creates maximum impact.
Across Yorkshire, you will lead on the delivery of our coaching and behaviour change programmes alongside managing our expanding housing portfolio and housing support services. You will take responsibility for growing the business across Yorkshire with existing partners, other organisations and via Local Authority contracts.
As a member of the national Joint Leadership Team (JLT), you will help to shape and develop our services and products, ensuring that the EF’s growth remains rooted in our organisational values of respect, accountability, and integrity.

About the role
Save the Children has an ambitious strategy, which requires us to take and manage an appropriate level of risk, often in complex environments, in order to improve the lives of the most marginalised children and communities that we work with. We are a large, complex charity and risk touches every part of the organisation and all aspects of what we do.
This is a new role within our General Counsel's Division and you will work with a wide variety of specialist teams across SCUK (e.g., Safeguarding, Legal, Health & Safety) who investigate incidents reported through SCUK's incident reporting and case management IT system (IRCM system).
You will act as the product owner for the system and will be the main point of contact with the software provider, responsible for ensuring that the system is configured and operating effectively to meet business needs and ensure that we can maximise use of the incident data.
A key objective for this new role will be to develop insightful reports and dashboards that help us analyse and monitor incident data relating to key areas of risk in SCUK's work, for example safeguarding, fraud, and health and safety. The aim will be to develop reporting and analysis that can identify trends and root causes to help us learn from incidents and improve the ways in which we respond to risks.
Key accountabilities will include:
Act as Product owner of SCUK's incident reporting and case management IT system (IRCM system):
- Responsible for the overall management of the system and ensuring that it is configured and operating effectively;
- Collaborate with specialist teams (e.g. Safeguarding, Fraud, Health & Safety) to understand business needs, gathering feedback on issues and functionality requirements, and exploring solutions and improvements;
- Manage the relationships with the ICRM software provider, SCUK technology team, and specialist teams to support the ongoing use of the system and to coordinate system updates and improvements;
- Review how we are utilising the system and the current licensing arrangements and make recommendations to optimise efficiency and cost effectiveness;
- Ensure training and user guides are available for new users and communicate system functionality updates to all users;
- Maintain high standards of data protection compliance in the configuration and use of the system through the completion and maintenance of privacy impact assessments;
- Develop mechanisms to monitor data quality for consistency and accuracy.
Incident analysis and reporting:
- Use appropriate data analytical tools such as Excel and Power BI to enable regular analysis of incident data to detect and monitor trends, including the proactive identification of emerging areas of risk and their causes;
- Develop clear and user-friendly reporting formats, such as dashboards and trend analysis, tailored to different audiences, including the Executive Leadership Team, the Audit and Risk Committee, and specialist teams;
- Convert data into actionable intelligence that enables the organisation to learn from incidents and highlights areas for improvement.
Reporting and case management processes:
- Monitor data quality from incident reports and liaise with specialist teams and incident reporters to ensure information is accurate and complete;
- Carry out initial triage of new incident reports, ensuring they are allocated to the correct specialist teams;
- Ensure mechanisms for reporting incidents through the IRCM system continue to meet the needs of incident reporters and specialist teams, as well as the teams managing regulator and donor reporting requirements;
- Track timely progress of cases to closure in line with agreed protocols
Stakeholder communication:
- Develop a communications plan to promote awareness around incident reporting throughout the organisation and relevant external stakeholders
- Manage the incident reporting and case management Sharepoint site and intranet pages, ensuring the provision of helpful and up to date information about incident reporting and investigation processes and procedures
- Act as focal point for promoting awareness of incident reporting as an important part of protecting people and assets, and in doing so contribute to a culture of openness and learning;
- Coordinate regular meetings for system users from specialist teams to share IRCM system knowledge and best practice, discuss common issues, trouble-shoot and monitor case management Key Performance Indicators;
- Assist with the timely completion of incident reports for institutional donors such as FCDO and other relevant external agencies/regulators
About you
You will need to be self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently, whilst also enjoying teamwork and able to work collaboratively with a diverse range of internal stakeholders across SCUK in order to understand business needs and develop appropriate solutions.
As the key point of contact for system users, providing training and guidance, and managing user access you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will also build awareness around incident reporting processes and responsibilities with staff and volunteers throughout SCUK, helping to ensure that reporting is integrated in all SCUK's programmes.
To be successful, you'll demonstrate:
- Experience in high-level project management with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- You are self-motivated; proactive and able to deliver results.
