The Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC) is the leading maritime charity for youth development and lifelong learning. The Volunteer Support Officer role:
As our Volunteer Support Officer, you will be acting as the first point of contact via email and phone for our volunteers providing warm and friendly assistance. This role provides vital support to volunteers within our enrolment process as well as administrative tasks that aid and celebrate our volunteers.
Our successful candidate will be organised, a strong team player and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities as our Volunteer Support Officer will include:.
- Supporting the adult volunteer applications to join the Sea Cadets, ensuring that personnel records are updated accordingly on our database
- Administer the disclosure process as a MSSC counter signatory
- Reviewing and approving applications for the Cadet Forces Medal
- Responding to all volunteer enquiries received by MSSC by email, post and phone
- Administering personnel forms associated with volunteer progression
Requirements needed to become our Volunteer Support Officer:
- Computer literacy: strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, email, internet and experience of web based information systems
- Experience of working in a customer focused role, including handling a wide range of enquiries by phone and email, and handling challenging phone calls and emails
- Experience of using data protection procedures
Desirable
- Experience of database inputting and records maintenance and management
- Experience of setting up and using Mail Merge to issue emails or letters

We are working with Pact, who are seeking an experienced Senior Manager (Major Gifts) with a proven track record of success to manage and grow their portfolio of major donors and legacies, to enable them to make a difference to the lives of those affected by criminal justice.
Pact is a successful national charity that provides life changing and lifesaving care for men, women and young people in custody, those with criminal convictions in the community and their children, family members and carers.
In this newly created role, the Senior Manager (Major Gifts) will provide strong stewardship of existing relationships of mid value and major donors, support and cultivate interest in Pact’s programmes and unrestricted giving and take responsibility for identifying and developing new major gifts from individuals and family trusts. In addition, you will strengthen and develop the legacy strategy and offer to existing and new individual supporter.
This is a senior, strategic role within Pact and you will have
- A proven track record and specialism in either legacy or major donor giving, and the autonomy to raise funds from individuals, including HNWIs and to lead on this area within a charity.
- Experience of researching and cultivating individuals including HNWIs and family trusts to secure financial support.
- Strong interpersonal skills, talented at building relationships and trust, and able to inspire long term commitment.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly convey concepts and inspire a wide range of people through written & verbal channels, with the ability to build a case for support.
- Strong literacy, numeracy and budgeting skills and be capable of writing effective proposals, and reports. Experience of using Salesforce is desirable but not essential.
Originally the Catholic Prisoners Aid Society, founded in 1898, Pact has a largely Catholic supporter base, with warm and committed relationships with a wide range of Catholic and other Christian stakeholders. This is a key role for Pact, where you will work closely with other member of the fundraising and extended teams, collaborating with the Head of Faith in Action to cultivate and secure new support from Catholic people motivated by the work of Pact.

The Role:
The Chief Officer will lead and manage Citizens Advice St Helens (CASH) while developing and implementing strategic and operational plans. Responsible for delivering strategic development through the effective management and development of services, the Chief Officer will build strong and sustainable relationships with key stakeholders at a strategic, national, regional, and local level.
They will work collaboratively with the staff team and board to ensure there is an inclusive, rights-based approach to work that also conforms with the requirements of the Charity Commission, Companies House and HMRC. To be considered for the Chief Officer role at CASH, you must be a proven leader and manager with experience working within a senior management team. This role will require someone with a demonstrable track record of innovation and success in business development and income generation, able to engage funding bodies and donors, as well as creating strong and successful content for winning contracts/grants. Your experience will be underpinned by excellent communication skills at both a strategic level within and outside the organisation, coupled with excellent resourcing methods.
In a senior leadership role, it's typical to hold budgetary responsibility and possess broad financial management experience. Considering the nature of Citizens Advice St Helens' work, we expect you to have a comprehensive understanding of the advice sector and experience with equity, diversity, and inclusion best practices. It is a volunteer and donation-led registered charity supported by the whole Oxfordshire community, including churches and congregations of other faiths in Oxford. The Gatehouse community drop-in centre offers free support services for adults aged 25+ who are homeless, vulnerably housed, on low income, and/or looking for company and community. The Gatehouse offers a free café (six evenings a week), therapeutic workshops, and a bespoke one-to-one support service (over two evenings and one afternoon a week). The project also delivers an outreach service, an independent counselling service, and supports the Lived Experience Advisory Forum (LEAF). The Gatehouse is experiencing rapid growth and is eager to expand its leadership team to support its exciting plans.

Main Areas of Responsibility
In the first instance, this will be achieved through joint project management and rollout of a new Federation wide SharePoint eco system. This is an exciting time to deliver a new ecosystem that will lay the foundation for future enhancement and uses of technology across all aspects of the Federation (Educational and Corporate).
You will then begin to identify the best uses of digital technology to promote learning, by engaging with latest research and by working across our academies in consultation with teachers and Principals. Through your leadership and networking within the Federation you will ensure the best approaches to improving educational outcomes are strategised, implemented, evaluated and are widely disseminated. Your work will involve the development of a Federation-wide Digital Learning strategy, building coalitions to implement and test this and then to disseminate the work. You will produce a wide range of training resources working with the Federation Consultant Leaders and Digital Learning Leaders in each Academy and you will Chair the Federation Digital Strategy Group, which will inform the priorities of the Federation IT team.
What We are Looking For
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Qualifications to degree level and above
- Profound understanding of the power and potential of Digital Technology to improve educational outcomes
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft suite of learning technologies, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Office365, OneNote and Teams - and of their use in supporting learning in the classroom and at home
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum programme of study for the subject and of current subject developments
- Experience of improving, leading and developing teachers in their professional development
- At least two years in a management role

We are seeking an experienced and influential leader to join us as our new Chief Executive. You will play a critical role in leading the organisation and representing PATA and its members in the ever-evolving Early Education and Children’s Play sectors.
PATA is the largest voluntary sector provider of support to the Early Years and Play (Out of School) sector in Gloucestershire. We are a Charity based in Gloucester with around 170 member settings and manage five of our own Early Years settings (PATA Managed Groups (PMGs)). Our mission is to support the development of high quality and accessible early education, play and provision for children, young people and their families.

The role is part time, 21 hours per week, 42 weeks annually, to be worked flexibly to meet business need, as agreed with the Chair of Trustees and in association with the Senior Management Team. There is flexibility for this to be a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days based from the Head Office in Gloucester.

Job Overview:
A key member of Brook’s safeguarding team with responsibility for driving our national safeguarding remit and supporting the discharge of our legal, contractual and organisational safeguarding responsibilities. To deputise and support the Designated Safeguarding Lead in providing expert safeguarding guidance for children and adults at risk. The Role
Manage existing major supporters, strengthening relationships and engagement through strong stewardship, including producing written reports and organising visits to meet beneficiaries.
Build and manage your own portfolio of major donors.
Develop the legacy strategy and offer, including to the wider base of individual supporters.
Implement a strategic work plan to secure new and repeat core income from family trusts as well as cultivating and maintaining excellent relationships with existing and new grant making Trusts and Foundations.
The Candidate
Experience of working in a fundraising team and with independence to raise funds from individuals and to lead on this area within a charity.
Proven track record and specialism in major donor giving.
Experience of writing proposals and reports.
Experience of researching and cultivating individuals including HNWIs .
