We are looking for a Senior Individual Giving Officer (Retention) to join our Fundraising team.

Job Summary

This role will create and deliver supporter-centric and insight-driven retention campaigns to maximise the loyalty and income from our base of 30,000 individual giving supporters. Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, you will develop and assess a range of supporter journeys and asks to best retain supporters across regular giving, raffle, lottery, cash giving and legacy - through digital, telemarketing and direct mail channels.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and grow the supporter retention and engagement programme within an agreed annual budget and calendar. The successful candidate will be an experienced direct marketing and digital project manager and collaborative team player. If you have excellent creative, analysis and project management skills across a range of channels with a detailed understanding of supporter engagement for mass audiences, we would love to hear from you.

The Senior Events and Programme Coordinator (Leadership) has key responsibility for supporting our Leadership Programmes working alongside the Events and Membership Manager and the Director of Nursing Programmes (Leadership and Standards) to ensure work is covered by the wider team and to act as a central point of contact for partners and clients.

The Programme, Network and Event Coordination Team is a key core team led by our Events and Membership Manager, responsible for ensuring that professional programmes, network and event support is provided to the QICN’s core programmes of work and the nurses in the team that lead them.

The role will also include several additional co-ordinator duties as part of the wider team, which is expected to work flexibly to cover the requirements of the organisation.

The post holder will require the ability to work in a fast-paced response environment with a high level of efficiency and the ability to take initiative. While not a key prerequisite for the role, project management would be a skill that would be expected to be developed.

Responsibilities

· Acting as the main point of contact and knowledge base for the Leadership Programme speakers, clients, partners and participants on the programme.

· Acting as a key point of contact for business development and exploring alongside the Director of Nursing Programmes (Leadership and Standards) the pipeline for new partners and funding opportunities

· Ensuring with the Events and Membership Manager coverage of the team for the setting up workshops and programmes and ensuring the underpinning administration and coordination is in place.

· Working with the Director of Nursing Programmes (Leadership and Standards) to track key deliverables within a programme and ensuring the maintenance of records.

· Ensuring the issuing of invoices and onboarding of participants where appropriate

· Ensuring appropriate updating of the CRM and events management software and liaising with the communications team.

· To support the development of a Leadership Programme alumni network and build that into a self-organising community with the wider QICN team.

· Overseeing the coordination and administration of several QICN professional networks.

· Supporting the Network Lead with outreach to potential network members.

· Preparation of online network meetings (creating Zoom events, setting online registration pages, sending out joining instructions, overseeing attendance list, preparation of materials, liaising with attendees and speakers, assistance on the day).

Person Specification

· Minimum of four years’ experience of working in a coordination, support or administrative environment

· Experience of working in a delivery environment supporting course delivery and learning objective

· High level of digital literacy (MS Office, MailChimp, Eventbrite, Zoom)

About the role

​The Chief Executive Officer will play a vital role in driving the new NCVO strategic review, as well as our programme of transformational change. They must enable and fulfil NCVO’s vision, mission and strategic goals.

Time for Young People Coventry & Warwickshire is our emotional wellbeing support space for young people, empowers young people to take time for themselves.

This is a new role within the Legacies Team. Our legacy notifications and income have been steadily growing and we are excited to be expanding the team. 

You will be a crucial part in ensuring that all legacies to the charity are administered in a timely and sensitive manner, maintaining and building great relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. 

Legacies currently fund over half of our work and you will have an important role in helping Parkinson’s UK support more people affected by Parkinson’s.

• Work with the Legacy Administration Manager to actively manage a varied caseload

• Handle a mixture of pecuniary, residuary and reversionary legacy cases 

• Tailor your approach to each case depending on the circumstances, having a flexible approach whilst ensuring that all gifts are administered in a timely manner

• Work to optimise Parkinson’s UK legacy income where appropriate 

• Ensure that all bequests to Parkinson’s UK are received and utilised, in accordance with Parkinson’s UK policies, including Local Group gifts

Buckinghamshire Mind is looking for a Head of Finance

The Head of Finance plays a key role in helping us to remain financially sustainable and meet our strategic priorities so that we can ensure that everyone with a mental health problem gets the support and respect they deserve.

The purpose of this role is to work with the CEO and senior leadership team to maximise the impact and longevity of the charity through strong and robust financial management, and provide comprehensive finance support advice to all colleagues, and budget holders.

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: hybrid working, with a minimum of two days in the High Wycombe office

Hours: Part-Time – 25-30 hours. Flexible working options available

Salary: £45,000 pa (full-time)

Budget Responsibility: c. 2.5 m

We promote wellbeing and recovery; we prevent mental ill health; we offer talking therapies and we provide support in times of crisis.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, including budgets, forecasts, and monthly management accounts.
• Oversee statutory reporting and audits in line with SORP requirements.
• Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO, Trustees, and senior team.
• Manage day-to-day financial operations, payroll, and VAT returns.
• Act as the main contact for auditors, and other financial stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be/ have:

• A recognised accounting qualification (or be part-qualified), with strong financial management experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector.
• Solid understanding of charity finance, including SORP, budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to different audiences.
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools, such as QuickBooks, SAGE, and Excel.

About the charity 

Dr Frost Learning is an education charity that believes there should be no barriers to a student’s desire to learn. Our product, Dr Frost Maths, allows students to learn maths online whether independently or via their school. We also provide learning materials and resources to support teachers, so children can maximise their potential in mathematics in and out of the classroom.

Tens of thousands of teachers, and hundreds of thousands of students use our product every month. Over 1000 schools subscribe to our paid product which is subsidised by our generous funders and donors. As we enter our fourth year as a charity we have some key priorities:

- Continue to migrate from a reliance on philanthropic funding to a subscription model

- Deepen our offerings in maths to support more teachers and more students

- Increase our focus on schools which have either high levels of social deprivation or teachers who are not STEM trained

We need a leader who is going to help us deliver on those and work with us to decide what the future strategy should be.  We are positive about our future, keen to use the latest technologies to improve our offerings, and ambitious to meet the requirements of students and teachers in new and exciting ways.

About the role

We are looking to appoint a CEO to lead our Charity. You will be working with a committed Board, alongside our founder and Chief Mathematician, Dr Jamie Frost, and with a staff team all dedicated to delivering a top class, online, maths education.

We have a lot of maths expertise, and our developers are excellent. What we need is someone who can lead the team, create a great working environment, and grow the business. So we need a proven leader who has an entrepreneurial mindset, perhaps with experience growing a start-up business, but definitely passionate about the transformational power of a good maths education.

Jamie Frost joins Board Meetings as an advisor. He has handed over all his intellectual property to the Charity. He much prefers creating teaching materials and going out into schools than managing staff and getting involved in the day to day running of things. He will report to the CEO.

Job description

Lead all aspects of DFL, exciting stakeholders with the vision and inspiring staff to give their best every day

Create a high performing culture across the organisation which makes people proud to work at DFL and which produces content that delights and inspires all who use it

Work with the Board to define strategy, focusing on deepening our offer in maths and potentially broadening our offer in other subjects

Translate the strategy into action plans, and clear measurable milestones and objectives, and drive the organisation to meet them 

Develop a sustainable funding model that balances subscriptions, philanthropy, and seeks sources of income from areas outside but close to our vision

Keep abreast of changes in the education landscape, both policy and technology, ensuring that DFL is never left behind as new areas develop

Person Specification

Essential

· Passion for the transformative power of a good maths education

· Have led teams and can demonstrate and breadth of experience and understanding which means that could be the CEO of a small, but ambitious, organisation

· Able to demonstrate a growth mindset

Desirable

· Experience of growing a small business or startup, in a leadership role

· Experience of technology business, ideally software

· Knowledge of VC or philanthropic funding

Salary and terms

· £90,000 p.a.

· 10% employer pension (5% employee contributions, with the option to contribute more via salary sacrifice)

· Fully remote working with the option of using our London co-working space as much or as little as you like

· 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
