What You’ll Do: 

• Ensure high-quality care in line with our policies and Christian values;
• Lead and manage the care and hospitality teams ensuring they are well-trained and motivated;
• Oversee the development and implementation of care plans
• Responsible for the home’s budget, in conjunction with the Head Office Finance Team. This includes local purchasing etc within budget limits;
• Manage complaints from residents, relatives and staff in accordance with Society policy;
• Engage with local church and community groups to maximise voluntary help and spiritual support available;
• Uphold the Christian ethos of the home through leadership and example. 

What You’ll Bring: 

• Management experience in a residential care home or similar setting; 
• Qualification in Health & Social Care (Level 3 or above); 
• Strong leadership and people management skills; 
• A passion for person-centred care and working with older people;
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities; 
• IT proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook);
• Ability to manage workload and remain calm under pressure.

•  Access – the Foundation for Social Investment works to make sure that charities and social enterprises can access the finance they need to sustain or grow their impact.
• You will be part of a small organisation of around 15 people that take a flexible, collaborative and trust-based approach to work.
• Working closely with the Head of Blended Finance and the wider Programme team you will act as an integral support function for colleagues but also build good relationships with our external partners, supporting their engagement with Access.

What you will deliver (responsibilities)

Programme Support:

• Present analysis and insights based on performance data and any contact with delivery partners to inform decisions within the team about ongoing relationships.
• Support the writing of papers for the Investment Committee and other committees including the Access Board, to present clear information to support understanding and decision-making.
• Help to organise, manage and minute internal and external meetings and events, including peer learning workshops.
• Assist with keeping Programmes pages of the Access website up to date.
• Supporting the development and maintenance of a bank of practical resources for use by our partners
• Other programme support duties as required.

Finance:

• Ensure robust financial management of Access’s programmes, including monitoring deployment targets of social investors and supporting the process for drawing funds from Access.

Relationship management:

•  Become one of the day-to-day points of contact for a portfolio of organisations who are delivering or supporting Access’s programmes, or in the process of applying to do so. These may include social investors, grant partners or other stakeholders.
• Build strong productive and supportive working relationships with delivery partners, in a spirit of collaboration and learning.
• Maintain comprehensive and clear records of the status of the relationship and any key questions or issues which are currently being addressed.

Data and learning:

• Support the acquisition and collation of regular performance data submissions
• Support the analysis and reporting on performance within each delivery partner and across the portfolio.

Other tasks:

• Leading on or supporting the delivery of internal and external events
• Contributing to learning and programme design discussions

We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel (Risk) to join our dynamic Legal & Risk team. This critical role offers the opportunity to influence and enhance Tearfund's risk management culture, support our global operations with expert legal guidance, and contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation.

The role: Working closely with teams across the organisation, you will:

• Lead on risk analysis and reporting: Engage with risk owners and focal points across Tearfund to assess, maintain, and report on organisational risks. You will manage key tools like the Corporate Risk Register with regular reporting to the Executive Team and Board Committees.
• Shape organisational understanding of risk: Support the Head of Legal & Risk in embedding best practice and fostering a culture of responsible risk-taking and compliance aligned with our strategic objectives.
• Drive process and policy improvement: Maintain and enhance risk management policies, procedures, and tools, ensuring they are empowering, integrated, and effective across the organisation.
• Train and advise: Deliver training on risk management principles and Tearfund's systems, and support colleagues with compliance and regulatory guidance across international contexts.
• Support the Legal Team: Contribute to reviews of legal documentation, compliance advice, and support for incidents of wrongdoing—enabling Tearfund to operate with integrity and excellence worldwide.

Who we are looking for: You will be a confident legal professional who:

• Is a qualified lawyer with around 3 years of post qualification experience providing legal and compliance advice, ideally in the charity and/or international development sector
• Has strong knowledge of risk management principles and experience applying these within an organisation
• Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across all levels of an organisation
• Has strong analytical skills and the ability to present complex risk information clearly
• Has a commitment to Tearfund's values, vision, and mission

Hybrid working: This role is eligible for hybrid working and you will be required to work from the Teddington Tearfund office and from your home by agreement with the line manager. 
 
Contract Type: This is a permanent, part time role working 28 hours per week. The full time salary is £58,246 per annum. The part time salary is £46,597 per annum. The working pattern will be agreed with the line manager.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

CORE

• Contribute to CALM’s fundraising targets, through excellent event delivery, relationship management and supporter care

• Ensure all supporters receive excellent care from CALM, as well as completing all assigned admin tasks with a high degree of accuracy

• Confidently represent CALM at key meetings and events

• Be a data steward for fundraising, ensuring quality data management

SUPPORTER ENGAGEMENT AND STEWARDSHIP

• Support on delivery of the Challenge Events portfolio, ensuring Challenge Event Fundraisers are staying on track - such as completing registration forms on time, and setting up fundraising pages

• Provide general support to the Challenge Events Manager with event day delivery as required

• Represent CALM at Challenge Events, including acting as an Event Day Lead, and attending wider CALM events

• Work with the Challenge Events Manager and Event Fundraising Lead to develop our portfolio of events, analysing performance, identifying opportunities and putting ideas into action

• Steward CALM’s Challenge Event Fundraisers effectively throughout their journey when supporting CALM, to ensure they feel appreciated and inspired to fundraise for us

• Be the friendly voice of CALM, responding to enquiries through the website or phone in a timely manner

• Proactively craft and send personalised emails to fundraisers to drive retention and satisfaction

• Help with the management and optimisation of the Challenge Event email automated journeys used to steward participants in the lead up to and after their event

• Help to devise and manage our email marketing strategy to event participants 

• Deliver stewardship calls to Challenge Event Fundraisers - welcoming them to the team upon sign up, wishing them good luck before their event, or offering them fundraising guidance and support 

• Work across various income platforms to ensure fundraising pages and donations are correctly coded, including JustGiving and Enthuse

• Support on the maintenance of relevant pages on the CALM website

• Analyse feedback from fundraisers via our post event surveys and identify areas for improvement

• Engage with Fundraisers on our CALM Facebook groups - sparking conversation and fostering a supportive community atmosphere

• Recruit and manage volunteers to support at events

• Work with the wider organisation to improve processes and data management

• Support in other areas of Public Fundraising as required, including community fundraising and individual giving.

Role Purpose

We’re looking for a flexible and self-motivated Project Assistant to join our team in Newcastle, supporting the delivery of our Home from Hospital and Community Support project.

Preventing admissions, and re-admissions, to hospital is crucial for the NHS. Re-admissions alone cost the NHS over £2 billion per year, and no-one wants to be in hospital when they can be recovering safely and comfortably at home. The Home from Hospital project was developed to help enable people to thrive back at home, and in the community, while at the same time supporting the NHS.

We recruit, train, support and coordinate volunteers, who provide a “little bit of help” to people who may be socially isolated, have health issues, or don’t have many people around them.

Our volunteers provide social, emotional or practical support, completing short-term tasks for up to 6 weeks. This includes tasks such as helping with grocery shopping, collecting and delivering medical prescriptions, in person or telephone check in’s, driving someone to an appointment, helping with paperwork, ensuring the home is safe and secure, and lots more!

As our Project Assistant, you will:

· Work closely with Volunteering Matters colleagues in a flexible and agile way, taking instruction and responding quickly to ensure beneficiaries and volunteers have the best possible experience

· Face to face and telephone contact with older people taking part in the project, completing practical, social, or wellbeing tasks to meet their individual needs

· Administrative tasks including providing updates to colleagues on project activities, processing paperwork, and other computer-based tasks to help ensure the smooth delivery of the programme

· Support with the promotion of the project across Newcastle in order to attract new volunteers and generate referrals – this may include drafting content, public speaking and giving presentations

This role is part of a fast-paced and responsive workplace environment. In order to meet the needs of the programme, we are looking for a candidate who can offer significant flexibility when it comes to working hours – ideally over 4 days per week.

We are Spinal Research, the UK's leading medical charity focused on the repair and restoration of the spinal cord. Every two hours, someone in the UK will become paralysed. Globally, it is estimated that 15.4 million people are living with paralysis. It can happen to anyone at any time, changing lives instantly. We fund groundbreaking research that will cure paralysis, ensuring people living with spinal cord injuries will get life-changing treatments.

The Role:

The Data Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end processing of all supporter and organisational data. This includes the set-up and management of systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across multiple sources, and preparing information to support financial reporting. The role holder will also ensure the effective use of Salesforce CRM and other connected systems, while enabling teams across the organisation to use data to drive insight and impact.

This role will report into the Head of Operations and Strategy, providing guidance on data management, systems improvements and organisational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

Data Management & Processing:

• Manage the end-to-end flow of supporter and organisational data across all systems.
• Collate data from multiple sources and prepare/upload into Salesforce CRM.
• Ensure data is reconciled with bank statements to guarantee completeness and accuracy.
• Carry out manual processing and preparation steps required for accountants and financial reporting.
• Maintain data quality and integrity across all systems and databases.

Systems & Integration:

• Oversee the access, security, and effective use of Salesforce CRM, payment platforms and third-party systems.
• Map and align data across platforms to ensure correct integration and reporting.
• Identify, resolve and prevent system or data flow errors.
• Support the Head of Operations and Strategy in implementing new systems or improvements.

Data Analysis & Insight:

• Provide accurate data analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Build dashboards and reports in Salesforce and other tools to support fundraising, research and operational teams.
• Identify trends, patterns and opportunities to increase organisational effectiveness.
• Act as the central point of expertise for data queries across the charity.

Team Support & Development:

• Support colleagues across teams to understand, use and manage their data effectively.
• Provide training and guidance on dashboards, reports, and data best practices.
• Share knowledge and recommend improvements in processes, data capture and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and GDPR in all areas of work (working alongside the Data Protection Officer).

Skill Set Requirements:

• Proven experience in data management, CRM administration or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce CRM (or similar CRM systems), data processing and reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to extract insights and translate them into actionable recommendations.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing complex datasets.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in financial data reconciliation and reporting preparation is desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel), SharePoint and other relevant tools.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Approved Premises (APs) work with high-risk people released from prison, providing a vital element in public protection arrangements. APs offer a level of contact, support and supervision within the community that is unique within the Criminal Justice System. As a member of the Approved Premises team, you will model pro-social behavior and foster a positive, respectful culture with both clients and colleagues. Your role will involve providing administrative and practical support, ensuring daily tasks are completed, and following all operational protocols. Job Purpose

As an Overnight Homeless Shelter Worker, you’ll be part of a small, professional team running Glass Door’s night shelters between November and April. Working alongside at least one other staff member, you’ll be awake and engaged throughout the night, supporting up to 35 guests who are experiencing homelessness. 

Your role is about creating a safe, calm, and welcoming space where guests can rest, feel respected, and be treated with dignity. You’ll build trust through friendly conversation, keep an eye on everyone’s wellbeing with regular checks, and step in when problems arise – from offering reassurance to someone in emotional distress, to calmly handling challenging behaviour, to calling emergency services if needed. 

Most nights are steady and focused on guest support, but there can be moments of pressure. We’ll provide training so you feel confident and prepared. You’ll also help serve a light breakfast in the morning and ensure our equipment is packed and ready for the next night – with one of you driving the van back to base.

Job Responsibilities

What You’ll Do 

You’ll be part of the overnight team making sure our night shelters are safe, supportive, and welcoming spaces for everyone staying with us. This is an awake, overnight role, you will be alert and engaged for the whole shift. Your main responsibilities will include: 

• Welcoming and supporting guests – Create a friendly, respectful atmosphere and build positive relationships with guests, volunteers, and colleagues. 

• Staying alert all night – Carry out regular checks around the shelter (every 20 minutes) to make sure guests are safe, and comfortable. 

• Responding to situations – Calmly manage any issues that arise, such as someone feeling unwell, experiencing emotional distress, or showing challenging behaviour. This may sometimes mean calling emergency services. Training will be provided. 

• Keep the shelter safe and secure – Follow all safety, security, and health and safety procedures. This includes locking and unlocking doors and making sure the space stays tidy and free from hazards. 

• Recording important information – Write clear, accurate shift reports and note any concerns or observations. Complete incident forms if needed. 

• Supporting volunteers – Offer direction and guidance to volunteers on shift so everyone works well together. 

• Enforcing behaviour expectations – Address situations where may display challenging behaviour, using a calm and respectful approach, conflict de-escalation training is provided for all staff. 

• Packing and unpacking the van – unload equipment and supplies into the van at the start of the shift and repack at the end of the night. The allocated driver will return the van to base (driver shifts are paid for an extra hour). 

• Restocking supplies – Keep an eye on essentials such as tea, coffee, and toilet paper, and restock from the van when needed. 

• Preparing a simple breakfast – In the morning, help serve drinks, toast, and porridge, and make sure guests are woken from 6am so they can leave by 7am. 

• Tidying and closing down – Gather equipment, pack it away, and ensure nothing is left behind. 

• Training and meetings – Attend occasional in-person training sessions, team meetings, or other activities. From time to time, you may be assigned online training to complete while on shift. 

• Work to a rota – Shifts will include evenings, weekends, and public holidays, so flexibility is important.

Our employability team deliver a suite of careers focused programmes and activities to school and university aged young people. We’re looking for a highly organised individual with a proven track record in event management to lead on the delivery of our residential conferences. The post will report to our Senior Programmes Manager for Employability, working closely with the wider employability team, including line management of an intern/assistant and matrix management of team members when required.

Main duties

Designing and delivering the Trust’s residential conferences, currently one event per year for each Pathways programme (Law, Banking & Finance, and Engineering). This includes

• Organising and managing event logistics, such as venues, catering, facilities and accommodation
• Designing activities, content and timetables in line with the programme Theory of Change
• Ensuring residential conferences are risk assessed and run in accordance with latest health and safety guidelines
