Gaddum is looking for a qualified PWP to join our well-established Talking Therapies team operating in Manchester and expand our offer for clients. You will work alongside a team of dedicated counsellors within a stepped care model to provide initial assessments and a range of NICE approved low intensity interventions for common mental health problems, including one-to-one work and the potential for groupwork.

You will be skilled in delivering low intensity therapy, with the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload, and will have successfully completed an approved IAPT PWP Post Graduate Certificate (or be near to qualification with all elements of the course successfully passed/on track to qualify on time).

This role is to deliver a co designed menu of support, in collaboration with The National Autistic Society, Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust, and Barnardo’s. The practitioner will provide impactful, school-based support to parents and carers of children and young people, and offer consultancy, professional training and advice to school staff, school-based needs teams and system wide partners. The aim is to improve the knowledge and confidence of those supporting children, young people and their families with additional and potentially neurodivergent needs, at an early stage. 

The role will predominantly involve working within the organisations focus areas within Surrey (Waverley, Surrey Heath and Runnymede), but at times will require travel across Surrey, so access to a car is essential. 

Responsibilities  

• ·To actively encourage and facilitate collaborative ways of working with all stakeholders. 
• To be proactive in terms of outreach to enable all parents to access the service, especially those  families who may be deemed as hard to reach. 
• To be able to manage own diary and ensure effective use of time across the variety of tasks within the role.

• To work collaboratively with schools and to support them in identifying training needs.

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support young people when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for young people, every step of the way.  

This role sits within our children and families directorate, which works to provide immediate one-to-one and group support for young people who urgently need support. Your role will be to help us maintain and develop innovative practice to support our work in our services within the Essex area.  

We wish to recruit 2 Substance Misuse Practitioners to join our established Essex Young Peoples Drug and Alcohol Team (EYPDAS) supporting young people aged 8-25 who are using or misusing substances.

You will provide direct therapeutic support to vulnerable young people, vulnerable young adults and families who are affected by substance use.

Support offered will include one to one face to face interventions, targeted group work & online support across the County. You may also facilitate training around substances for statutory and voluntary agencies across the County. 

The young people will require a skilled practitioner who is experienced in working with hard to reach, vulnerable young people at risk and using trauma informed therapeutic approaches. You should have experience of facilitating groups with knowledge of the issues and legislation affecting young people who are using or misusing substances. 

What we are looking for...

-You will have substantial experience in working with vulnerable young people either in a paid or unpaid capacity. To be able to evidence your ability to build positive relationships with groups of young people to raise awareness about substance use and the associated risks and impact. 

-You will have experience of carrying out individual and group work interventions with young people & adults. 

-You will have experience in using Microsoft Office Applications and other relevant data systems.  

-You can demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative as well as be able to contribute to a multi-agency approach so as to enable effective interventions with young people, including delivering training to a range of professionals. 

-You hold a full UK drivers license and have access to you own transport.

As Complex Needs Practitioner you will engage young people in a variety of interventions, using a person-centred approach, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and achieve positive outcomes.

Birmingham Young People’s Service provides holistic support services for young people 10 to 25 with needs related to alcohol and substance misuse, including those that are affected by a family members alcohol and substance misuse.

All Complex Needs Practitioners are expected to work days, evenings, and weekends across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings, when required, which will require a flexible working pattern from the successful candidate. The caseload will include a mixture of community and multi-agency referral pathways including health, social care, education, youth provision, and criminal justice.

As an energetic and confident self-starter, you will have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or above, Dip SW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies).  Alternatively, we will consider candidates with experience of working in the health & social care field, education settings, alcohol, and substance misuse fields with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care.

Experience of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and engaging effectively with clients in a variety of settings is essential. About the role 

As a Housing and Homelessness Practitioner, you will be part of the coaching team to help motivate members with varying levels of engagement within the Skylight; some practice will be planned and structured with others more complex and requiring a multi-agency response.

The key to success will be your ability to integrate with the client services teams on a day-to-day basis; to make collaborative, consistent and psychologically informed relationships with colleagues and members.

About you 

As part of the Lead Worker team you have a real opportunity to demonstrate your empathy for people experiencing homelessness.   Sometimes members are distressed by their situation and this role would suit someone who is resilient, tenacious, compassionate, and creative. You will work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced environment and an ability to communicate effectively and prioritise competing demands are essential. 

You will have experience in homelessness (directly or within a relevant sector) and have demonstratable skills in understanding homelessness legislation and advocating on behalf of people. We know that there are many factors that play a significant part in someone's homelessness including issues with health and wellbeing, financial security, social networks etc. Experience of offering support in these areas is essential and transferable skills welcome. 

You will have a track record of working with partner agencies, developing, maintaining strong working relationships, and collaborating to achieve the best outcomes for members.    

You will be interested in evolving your skills and playing an active role as we continue to develop our service and coaching principles further.  

You will need to align with our organisational values that hold us accountable in assisting our members to improve and relieve their homelessness and demonstrate this through your work and behaviours.

Right now, one of our partners, Aquarius Action Projects, is looking for a Practitioner to join their team. Solihull Integrated Addiction Service (SIAS) is a partnership between four organisations jointly responsible for the delivery of the drug, alcohol, homelessness, and gambling services, in the Borough of Solihull. We offer services for adults who use or are affected by substance use, homelessness, and gambling.

Your challenge? As a Hospital Complex Needs Practitioner, you will be working with clients within UHB hospital primarily Heartlands/Solihull hospital and various other settings in the community. You will be supporting clients in addressing their substance needs and liaising with medical professionals on the wards within the hospital and in the community. We are looking for someone who can complete both brief and psychosocial interventions and hold a caseload.

You need to be able to work independently and will be multi-agency working, working with HCAs to Consultants daily. You will need to be able to deliver training in person and online and attend meetings and feed back in meetings associated with the hospital.

We are looking for an energetic and confident self-starter with a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse and housing and homelessness field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you're used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and comfortable engaging with clients in a variety of service delivery settings. What’s more, you have a flexible approach, a commitment to the principles of confidentiality and excellent record keeping and Microsoft Office. You will need to be able to work flexibly in terms of working hours to support your clients.

Bereavement Practitioners provide the structure that enables our services to operate and to support our amazing team of Volunteers and staff who work directly with our families in different settings.

Skin Camouflage Practitioners
Contract: Part-time, fixed-term (one year initially, with the potential to extend).
Location: Manchester: two weekdays per month.
Salary: £11.70 per hour
Training: The successful applicant will be trained via a short training course in London (expenses will be covered) followed by a period of mentoring with an experienced practitioner.

We have vacancies for part-time Skin Camouflage Practitioners to support our Skin Camouflage Service.  Working independently from our community venue, the successful candidate will provide practical skin camouflage appointments to people affected by a visible difference.

Please note: these roles need you to be able to physically attend clinics to deliver our services, so please check the location is reachable before applying. Please do not apply speculatively for other clinic locations at this time.

Main Objectives

• We continue to improve and develop the service around the country to provide the very best experience for our clients. The Skin Camouflage Practitioners will:
• Deliver skin camouflage clinic appointments to our clients.
• Keep in close contact with our skin camouflage team regarding the organisation of clinics.
• Help signpost clients to other Changing Faces services or resources they may be interested in.
• Work with the skin camouflage team to continually review, develop, and maintain the service.
• Support the skin camouflage team to develop and maintain the skills and knowledge of all practitioners by participating in and contributing to training.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for people with:

• Experience within a related industry such as nursing, or healthcare. Experience as a make-up artist would be a definite advantage for this role.
• The ability to support clients professionally and with empathy, including clients in distress or struggling with their visible difference.
• A willingness to follow Changing Faces’ skin camouflage practices and procedures.
• A strong commitment to Changing Faces values, vision and purpose.
• The ability to use or learn basic technology such as tablets, apps, Outlook and Teams.
