- Manage project timelines, budget, and resources.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Support each project with project administration - setting up meetings, providing updates & minutes to all concerned.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
Experience & Certifications/Qualifications:
- Experience in working in the NGO/Charity sector, particularly with digital transformation and organisations scaling up.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification preferred.
- Substantial Demonstrable experience in project management, in an IT environment.

Key Responsibilities
Programme management
- Programme Delivery: Coordinate and oversee the development and implementation of a personal and social development programme for young people aged 11-19.
- Recruitment: Engage and recruit young people to participate in the programme.

We are looking for a new member to join the Enterprise Directorate in this fixed term role for 12 months. If you are immediately available that will be advantageous.
The role
Does supporting entrepreneurship and engineering in the UK motivate you? If so, we’d love to hear from you. The Enterprise Hub (a Directorate within the Royal Academy of Engineering) supports engineering entrepreneurs, researchers and institutions all over the world. We are looking for a Programme Manager (PM) to support with managing the Shott Scale Up Accelerator, for a period of 12 months, while the current PM is seconded to a Senior Programme Manager role. This is our flagship ScaleUp Institute-endorsed programme, which supports engineering and technology entrepreneurs and business leaders, helping them improve their leadership capabilities while growing their businesses.
In this exciting and dynamic role, you will be expected to deploy your skills and expertise to deliver an excellent experience for the awardees. The role combines both outward-facing relationship management and ‘behind-the-scenes’ programme management. As you work with some of the innovative companies and the wider network of the Academy, including the Fellowship, you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of technology commercialisation, investment, scaling, new markets entry and grant programme management. You will learn about tech and entrepreneurship trends, how to grow a company, and you will help our programme remain on track and evolve to remain best-in-class. We are looking for a new member of the digital communications team to lead on managing the Academy’s social media channels and setting the standard for digital multimedia content across the Academy for up to 10 months.
The role
This is a key role in the digital communications team, with oversight of the Academy’s externally facing social media channels. As you further develop these channels and lead on the delivery of content through them, you will play an important part in positioning the Academy as a thought leader and engaging new and existing audiences with our work.
You will co-ordinate with colleagues across the directorate to ensure our social channels are used effectively. You will also provide expertise and guidance to colleagues, own systems and workflows, own and develop content templates, and ensure quality control for our social content. You will run social media campaigns and activity, writing excellent copy, creating high quality visuals and evaluating success.
As you will lead on the production of digital content for the Academy, you will continue to develop guidelines and documentation for colleagues and suppliers, who you will work with as needed. You’ll enjoy creating graphics and some video content too. You’ll report on analytics regularly for departmental performance metrics, and you’ll use insights and evaluations to continuously optimise outputs and performance.

We’re looking for a Head of Operations to support the ongoing growth and development of an exciting charitable organisation.

About the role:
We are seeking a Head of Operations to work with the CEO and senior leadership team to manage a broad scope of operational functions, including workplace governance, people management, digital support, data and risk management. The Head of Operations will be a collaborative and hands-on professional with project and people management skills, a track record of operational change management, and the ability to inspire colleagues in new ways of working that ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the Foundation - driving system, quality and process improvements.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Working with the CEO to deliver effective day-to-day operations for the organisation, managing the Operational Excellence Workstream and our approach to Quality.
- Oversee HR, culture and people function, including recruitment, retention, performance evaluation, employee learning & development, working with our external HR advisors when required.
- Promote a culture of equity, inclusion and collaboration, nurturing a positive and supportive environment for all.
- Embed cross-team working, building key relationships and highlighting synergies across our working practices to deliver efficiencies and improvements.
- Oversee compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, ensuring all policies are current and regularly reviewed, including annual review by trustees (e.g. GDPR, Charities Commission) and manage our Complaints process.
- Lead on the management and implementation of safeguarding - ensuring appropriate policies, training and guidance are regularly reviewed.
- Support the CEO in maintaining strong governance and adherence to best practices in charity governance and reporting, including keeping the risk register up to date and progressing actions.
- Produce management reports for the CEO and Trustees as required, supporting the Annual Report & Accounts production and Board of Trustees administration.
- Oversee cyber security and coordinate IT support services, including the Foundation’s IT and digital platforms – maintaining licenses, agreements and contracts.
Essential knowledge, skills & experience include:
- Previous experience in a Senior Operations management role, preferably in a charity or not-for-profit setting
- Strong leadership qualities to lead operations and fulfil an executive function
- Reliable with a high level of discretion and integrity – able to deal with sensitive and confidential matters
- Excellent IT and digital skills including Microsoft Office 365. Skilled in using workplace systems including Teams and SharePoint
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of managing compliance and risk, including safeguarding and GDPR – able to identify and respond to organisational risks
- Exceptional people management and coaching skills with experience of managing HR and L&D functions
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, able to multi-task with attention to detail
- Demonstrable commitment to ED&I, and actioning this through an inclusive culture and positive working practices
