The Role:
We’re looking for a bold and caring person to lead and develop Lancashire Mind’s Wellbeing Coaching service and mobilise a pilot of therapeutic services; a new service for Lancashire Mind.

You will be a mental health practitioner with experience of delivering therapeutic services and understand the different types of therapy and support clients need. To succeed in the role, you will need excellent communication skills, project management and line management experience.

The current postholder is going on maternity leave so we are looking for someone who is able to step into the role and hit the ground running. You will be motivated, flexible and adaptable.

Along with managing the rollout of Lancashire Mind’s therapeutic services, you will manage several coaching focussed projects. As such you will lead on partner and funder liaison, promotion, quality assurance, monitoring and reporting. You will work with a range of voluntary and community organisations and will identify and develop new opportunities for services.

Sanctuary Breaks is a new charity based in Stroud District, Gloucestershire, set up to welcome refugees and people seeking asylum to rural areas in the county, and enable social and cultural exchange between refugees and the resident population, especially with a view to supporting mental health. Your job would be to develop this charity, and increase refugee and asylum seeker opportunities for leisure, engagement and inclusion in the life of the area.

Organisational Development
Work with Board of Trustees to develop necessary policies and procedures to be legal, effective and follow best practice, 
Service and support the Trustees of Sanctuary Breaks CIO
Work with Directors of Hill House Retreats CIC to support generation of Trading Income for the charity
Support the Board of Trustees to make grant funding applications for service development and work with them to develop other income streams: community fundraising; events; donations
Represent Sanctuary Breaks as required

Project development
Work with partners and volunteers to enable two or more rural  Sanctuary Breaks per month (events, day trips or residential visits) 
Develop a system of evaluation to demonstrate the impact of the services that the charity is providing, with particular reference to mental health and wellbeing. 
Maintain and further develop partnerships with refugee sector agencies in the target areas, 
Network with local individuals and community groups and create partnerships as needed to promote a welcome for people seeking sanctuary in the area
Recruit and support volunteers to deliver the service
Lead on publicity and communications to promote the service, including regular newsletter and social media posts 
Develop ideas for and support cultural and fundraising events

Administrative tasks
Maintain the calendar of events and bookings and work with HHR CIC to coordinate bookings of the house between Sanctuary Breaks and trading income activities
Manage day to day finances and provide information as required to the Treasurer
Create and maintain a register of refugee sector organisations requesting sanctuary breaks, allocating bookings, supplying and handling relevant paperwork 

Job:  £25k pro rata,  18 hours per week (initially fixed-term 12 month contract)

Participant Support and Delivery Officer

About the role:

In October 2023, the organisation began delivery of Year 1 of their West Midlands based Environmental Leadership Programme in partnership with the Shropshire Wildlife Trust. The role of the Participant Support and Delivery Officer is to work closely with the programmes delivery team across the partnership on the different stages of programme recruitment, delivery and implementation – all to ensure that participants have an excellent experience with us.

Key areas of responsibility include:  

• Supporting the recruitment and onboarding of Year 2 participants in the run-up to the programme starting in October 2024 and provide a friendly point of introduction for participants onto the programme. This will include travelling to support the delivery of in-person taster and recruitment activities.
• Supporting the participants and managing their experience before, during and after programmes. This will include working with the programmes team to ensure we have collected all of the participant information we need to be able to assess the success and impact of our programmes and will include communicating with and keeping track of correspondence with participants
• Carrying out monitoring and evaluation activities and analysis of data that will help us measure and communicate our programme impact, including data collection (qualitative and quantitative) that can be used to create a programme narrative
• In Salesforce - undertaking data entry and administration including the production of basic reports and the ongoing development of simple automation that helps us streamline processes across the programme and partnership

Transition Together is seeking to continue the work of deepening connection and growing the voice of the Transition Movement in England and Wales through the freelance engagement of three Network Weavers. This exciting project will see this team, supported by Transition Together staff, co-design an in person Transition Assembly early next year to guide the future of our Movement in the UK as well as build relationships with Transitioners across Wales and England and connect to emerging and established networks across the UK. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of and/or interest in forest governance and human rights, particularly in Central Africa. The senior member of staff is responsible for ensuring the decisions of the Board are acted upon and the charity meets the legal and regulatory requirements of a CIO. The key focus will be on development of new income streams as we navigate challegnes across the site. The General Manager will oversee the implementation of the new Buisness Development Plan. Support the team of volunteers in project managment and fundraising to support the ambitions of the Board. HR management and financial control will be an important part of the role.

About the Role

The School of Geography at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) are seeking a project manager to work on major new externally funded research project investigating the impact of pollution and climate change on the resilience of coastal communities and seas. The project is a collaboration between five universities - QMUL’s School of Geography, University of Glasgow, Kings College London, University of Bradford and University of Sunderland – and more than 30 end-user environmental and community organisations.

The aim of our project is to understand the interlinked risks of climate change, coastal flooding and erosion, and coastal pollution for coastal community and ecosystem resilience. Working with stakeholders, communities and policy makers we will co-develop practical and policy interventions through a multi-dimensional assessment of coastal natural capital, heritage, and socio-cultural capital.

The focus for this role will be to support the co-ordination and delivery of the project.

About You

The successful candidate will have experience of managing large, multi-institution research projects but will not need expertise in pollution, climate change or coastal policy. The Project Manager will:

Manage project progress via appropriate tools such as a risk register, RACI matrix, progress/milestone trackers/Gantt chart. Provide regular updates to the project directors with regards to overall progress, milestones, interdependencies, and key deliverables.

Support day to day running of the project and provide the main point of contact for project coordination and managing relationships.

Maintain clear and effective communication with external partners, collaborators and the public.

Organise, facilitate and ensure smooth running of project team meetings, stakeholder meetings and community workshops.

Manage the budget, track spending and support effective procedures in the overall team ensuring compliance with the funding organisation.

Liaise with all project collaborators at regular intervals to collect carbon emission information for of the project activities.

About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).

The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team.  Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams. 

If you think you have the skills, qualities and drive to fulfil this role, but don’t meet all of the specifications, or perhaps you’ve gained your experience in (for example) commercial sales or within relationships management and are looking to move into development work, we would still welcome hearing from you. We are also open to making the role part time (80%) for the right candidate.
