The Access & Participation Project Coordinator is a brand new, exciting role designed to support LSESU’s work around access and participation.
 

The successful candidate will play a lead role in identifying areas where there is a need/opportunity for targeted interventions to support the experiences of students from disadvantaged backgrounds, before putting then translating these into evidence-based proposals.
 

The Access & Participation Project Coordinator will be responsible for designing, implementing and delivering these programmes, as well as for reporting back on them and proactively seeking ways of driving continuous improvement.
 

The role will also oversee the delivery of the Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Mentoring Scheme. This landmark programme, that was last year nominated at the National Diversity Awards, pairs students from ethnic minority backgrounds with LSE alumni, who provide the former with mentoring and support during their studies.
 

The successful person will be responsible for reviewing the programme and seeking to build upon its fledgling success to ensure it is bigger, better and more impactful than ever.
 

This role will also involve close working with stakeholders at LSE, especially those working on the delivery of LSE’s Access & Participation Plan (APP).
 

You would be joining a fantastic and friendly Advice Team, consisting of the Advice Caseworker and Advice Manager, that sits within the wider Student Voice Department, and which together oversees all of the Union’s advice, policy, democratic, campaigning and representation work.
 

Given the breadth of work undertaken within the department, expect there to be plenty of opportunities to grow, develop and pick up new skills outside of the main responsibilities of the role.

Role Overview

Job Purpose

• Review procedures to streamline and increase efficiency, including IT procedures, office management procedures, stock up keep etc. 
• Reception: Post and deliveries collection and dispatch, welcoming visitors and responding to queries. 
• Stock check of the staff shared space, responsible for orders placement and financial spend tracking. 
• Responsible for shared inboxes related to fleet management, operations, maintenance and feedback.
• Managing a central system for monitoring and logging complaints, comments, Freedom of Information Requests making sure all are dealt with in accordance with the procedure and reporting figures quarterly. 
• Tracking insurance claims and accidents report for quarterly KPIs. 
• Manage company performance data, ensuring deadlines are met and reports ready for client.
• Manage the repairs tracker, raising POs and maintaining accurate budget records with input of invoices and purchase orders raised and support mangers with the preparation of financial reports. 
• Collect data regarding current stock, i.e. warranty length, equipment health and durability, etc, to support Operations Manager in developing a more financially strategic approach toward IT equipment 
• Become first point of contact for IT queries, ability to resolve basic IT issues, before escalating to IT service desk. 
• Seeking quotes for goods and services in line with Enable’s Procurement Code. 
• To comply with all Enable Codes of practice and policies and procedures concerning data protection and health and safety. 
• Required to occasionally travel inside and outside of the borough either by driving, cycling or using public transport. Required to drive Enable’s vehicles both in and outside the borough when appropriate.

The successful candidate will have

• At least 1+ year of experience in an Office Management, Operations Administration or Facilities Management position

This is a critical senior role in the organisation, reporting to the CEO. The role is responsible for managing the organisation’s programmes across 3 locations in Sub Saharan Africa and South East Asia, managing 10 personnel. The position provides leadership on community-led investigations and evidence gathering and works closely with the Senior Management Team (SMT) on critical areas including fundraising and strategic development.   

The priority for this role is the safe and high quality performance of projects. The balance between ‘doing’ and ‘managing’ in this role varies depending on available resources for each project, and the ability to create competent teams to delegate to.

Package: Pay is dependent on location.  The UK salary of £62,000 plus pension contribution will be converted using ICSC scales. All locations receive 28 days annual leave, counselling support and annual wellbeing days.
 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• The development and implementation of strategy and annual plans for the organisation’s direct programming, and its alignment with organisational strategy.

The Office Coordinator position is responsible for the general day-to-day operations of the London, UK office.  Due to the nature of this position, work must generally be performed within a 30 hours / week timeframe (M-Fri). This role is an in-office role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, with other duties upon request:

· General administration as required: call handling and forwarding, front door access controls, post management, post requests, staff access, etc.

· Support of facilities management: oversight of cleaning and maintenance contractors, management of office supplies and procurement, equipment maintenance requests, liaison with building management.

· Facilitating work from home set-ups and procurement and coordinating distribution to personnel as requested.

· Facilitating new starter set-up in collaboration with P&C (HR) & IT inclusive of onboarding, office orientation, etc.

· Responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, tidy, and professional office environment at all times.

· Ensuring the office is health and safety compliant and maintain a knowledge of UK regulations for workplace management.

· Manage any office security systems and accounts, fire drills, fire equipment maintenance, or required inspections. Maintain the fire safety equipment and ensure fire extinguishers are services and smoke alarms / detectors are functioning – conduct fire safety awareness training upon request.

· Manage corporate relationships and partnerships such as shipping vendors, office accounts, and more.

· Ensure the payment of facilities invoices within payment deadlines, including invoice tracking and coding.

· Manage and maintain key office supplies (including pantry supplies, office materials, first aid supplies, etc.). Inventory and maintenance of the storage unit.

· Manage the office access controls / visitor protocols of the office space and coordinate security enhancements / improvements upon request.

· Provides administrative support to the Grant, Contracts & Compliance Department in the coordination of contracts received to and shipped from the London office.

· Supporting staff in the office with questions, inquiries, and support needs.

Marketing Officer

1.0 Job Purpose

As a Marketing Officer within our charity, your role is pivotal in driving fundraising and retail activities. Your primary responsibility is to devise and execute marketing workplans that effectively promote our fundraising campaigns and enhance the performance of our retail initiatives. By engaging with various stakeholders and utilising creative marketing techniques, you play a crucial role in generating income for our three brands: Saint Michael’s Hospice, Herriot Hospice Homecare and Just ‘B’.

2.0 Key Tasks

• Develop and implement marketing workplans to promote fundraising activities and retail operations, aligning with our organisational goals and objectives.
• Create engaging content and collateral to support fundraising campaigns, events, and retail promotions across various channels, including digital, print, and social media.
• Manage social media platforms and online channels to raise awareness of fundraising initiatives and drive community engagement.
• Coordinate the design, production, and distribution of marketing materials for fundraising events, including posters, flyers, and digital assets.
• Collaborate with the fundraising team to develop compelling appeals, donor communications, and stewardship materials.
• Work closely with retail staff to promote shops, special offers, and events at charity shops through targeted marketing efforts.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and target audiences for fundraising and retail marketing campaigns.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities, tracking key performance indicators and adjusting workplans as needed.
• Represent the charity at community events, networking opportunities, and retail-related activities to raise awareness and drive engagement.

Operational

• Develop and implement marketing plans for fundraising events and campaigns.
• Create engaging content for promotional materials, including social media posts, email newsletters, and website updates.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of marketing materials.
• Monitor and analyse the performance of marketing activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Identify real life stories that can be used for communications activities in a sensitive and ethical way that is in line with our values.

Strategic

• Contribute to the development of long-term marketing strategies to support fundraising and retail objectives.
• Identify new opportunities for fundraising and retail growth through market research and analysis.
• Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Heads of Income Generation to align marketing efforts with organisational goals and priorities.

Financial

• Assist in budget planning and management for marketing initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Monitor marketing expenses and report on budget adherence to the Marketing Manager.

Regulatory

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines in all marketing activities, particularly in relation to fundraising regulations.
• To ensure that all campaigns, content, and material meet brand guidelines, the law and ethical best practice and to provide support to encourage other teams to meet such guidelines

Management

• Coordinate with volunteers and external agencies to support marketing campaigns and events.
• Provide guidance and support to colleagues involved in fundraising and retail activities.

Your work for the MNVP team is in partnership with the NHS, Public Health and other parts of the system to help them hear the diverse voices of service users. You will facilitate projects and workstreams to understand the needs of all communities including African, Caribbean, Asian and other minoritised communities in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. The Learning Design Specialist to design and coordinate development of learning solutions for humanitarian emergency preparedness.

The Learning Design Specialist at UK-Med is pivotal in enhancing the preparedness and competence of healthcare professionals for humanitarian emergency response initiatives.

The Learning Design Specialist focuses on efficiently designing and coordinating development of targeted training programs for both internal organisational audiences and external partners. The goal is to ensure that our Core Staff and a Register of approximately 1200 healthcare professionals worldwide are thoroughly equipped to provide exceptional care, leading to positive outcomes for the patients and communities we serve.

The Learning Design Specialist willinnovate and refine UK-Med's training content, ensuring it meets the specific needs of a diverse, global workforce. Expand the learning portfolio, incorporating digital, in-person, and simulation-based training tailored to strategic priorities. Establish and nurture partnerships to enhance our bespoke learning offerings, ensuring they meet the dynamic needs of our partners and maintain industry-leading standards.

The Learning Design Specialist will provide expert advice and support on designing effective learning solutions for external partners and conduct engaging and effective training sessions, both online and face-to-face, catering to the varied learning preferences and needs of the participants.

Oasis Community Hub East Southampton are recruiting for an experienced team leader to work alongside our Strategic Community Development Lead and the youth and community hub team in East Southampton.  This positive, adaptable and talented leader will help us to strengthen, sustain and grow our range of youth and community programmes.

The role will encompass integrated community and youth support activities. Leading a small and passionate team of employees and volunteers to develop the use of the Harefield Hub space and deliver youth provision and the food pantry. The role will be focussed on the East Southampton community surrounding Oasis Academies Mayfield and Sholing and the Harefield Hub space. Working together with the Strategic Community Development Lead you will also be part of the Oasis Community development across Southampton.

Key responsibilities will be:

· To build positive and supportive working partnerships with the local community, supporting them to access Hub services and activities to develop their skills, knowledge and aspirations.

· To work with the Strategic Community Development Lead to create a plan to deliver joined up services that address the needs of the local neighbourhood, including community projects, holiday provision, and volunteer, family and youth support.

· Provide leadership and line management to, the youth project and the pantry leads, building a positive and well-functioning team that models the Oasis ethos and values. Supporting them in the day to day running and development of these projects.

· Lead on all aspects of the day-to-day administration and supervision of a team of volunteers and their activities, developing and inspiring them to develop best possible practice to meet the needs of the local Hub deploying volunteers’ strengths and acting as an authentic role model.

The successful post holder must have:

· Self-motivation, resilience, with excellent organisational and inter-personal skills.

· Successful experience of working with parents / carers (voluntary or paid work)

· Proven experience of community development and working with young people.

· Experience working with challenging behaviours and attitudes.

· Knowledge of safeguarding practices and health and safety.
