We are now seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead Brainkind into its next phase.  Reporting to the Chair and Board of Trustees, the Chief Executive Officer will have full accountability for organisational performance, strategy, and culture. You will lead and develop a committed and experienced Executive Team, ensure the continued delivery of high-quality, person-centred services, and build trusted relationships with commissioners, partners, regulators, and stakeholders across the health and care system.

This role requires a proven executive leader with experience operating at scale within health, social care, or a similarly complex regulated environment. You will bring a strong track record of delivering organisational performance, financial stewardship, and leading organisations through periods of change, growth, or transformation.

This role are central to ensuring that the voices of people in the justice system shape the services that affect them. You’ll work directly across our Prison Councils in HMP Altcourse and HMP Forest Bank, as well as a range of community‑based projects regionally, and occasionally national. Some projects will require significant travel, so flexibility is essential.

Purpose of the job

This role is responsible for the design of UK Youth’s support to young people, youth organisations and youth workers. This could include structured youth work programmes, funding and grants+ programmes, professional development initiatives, and campaigns.

You will lead and oversee end-to-end design processes, ensuring that UK Youth develops fully packaged offers that respond to the evidence base and people’s needs, drive forward our strategy and achieve incredible impact. You will work across UK Youth teams, with external design partners, and meaningfully involving young people and the professionals who support them in the design process.

You will be experienced in developing high quality funding propositions (proactively and in response to new business opportunities). You will be confident in taking a human-centred design approach to tackle some of the youth sector’s knottiest problems.  You will design solutions to important problems, ensuring that they are feasible, equitable, impactful and scalable.

In 2026, our priority topics for youth work programmes and network development are: mental health and wellbeing, employability, social cohesion and community safety.

 As a leader, you will work closely with research, evaluation, policy, service delivery, network development, and fundraising teams. You will help to improve the skills and confidence of colleagues across UK Youth to apply design methods in their own work and collaborate effectively with the Design team.

Experience we're after

• Significant experience of leading and overseeing the development of new business propositions and proposals to time-limited funding opportunities

• Significant experience of designing interventions (digital and/or physical) for young people and/or those who support them 

• Experience using human-centred-design methods and mindsets; managing projects across the end-to-end design process

• Proven track record of inspiring and motivating diverse teams and improving collaborative ways of working across teams and departments

• Experience of developing high quality programme content and curricula for young people, youth workers and/or outdoor learning instructors (desirable)

• Experience of commissioning and managing external design freelancers and consultants (desirable)

• Experience of designing and/or delivering professional development programmes (desirable)

We are seeking a Finance Officer with excellent numerical skills and attention to detail, and good inter-personal skills to join our friendly Finance Team at Yeldall Manor. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for helping others to join a Christian organisation dedicated to supporting men in their journey of recovery from addiction to drugs or alcohol.

As Finance Officer, you will support and deputise for the Finance Manager in all aspects of the finance role including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, bank and cash reconciliation and the processing of donations (please see the Job Description for more details). You will also support our residents in the management of their money and benefits and accompany them to relevant appointments. A driver’s licence is essential for this role.

You will have relevant accounting/bookkeeping qualifications e.g. AAT Technician Level and have experience of financial management, ideally in the not-for-profit sector. You will be a quick learner, able to manage multiple priorities and enjoy working as part of a small team that has a real impact upon people’s lives.

Yeldall Manor is a Christian organisation, and this role requires a committed Christian faith to meet the occupational requirements (in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010). Evening / Weekend Support Worker (Substance Misuse)

We are looking for someone mature, motivated and caring to provide person-centred support to our residents in their recovery journey. If you have a heart to see people overcome substance misuse - to reset, recover, and restore their lives - please join our friendly team.

The post-holder will form part of our team of staff who support our residents in their recovery primarily outside of office hours. You will therefore have great inter-personal skills and the ability to implement firm but caring boundaries. In addition, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, including updating records and administering medication as well as managing the house during weekends and overnight.

This is a part-time role on a zero hours contract, including some evenings and weekends, so could work alongside other employment commitments. Hours negotiable.

Do you have experience working in a Windows network environment (including AD), as well as cloud based Google Apps?

As an IT professional you will be working with a small and busy Help-desk team to provide 1st and 2nd line support to our users across the UK and overseas. You should be comfortable with everything from basic IT orientation for users, through to the more complex user support requests on Windows 10 Laptops and Windows Server (2012R2 - 2016).

You will have:

You will already have experience working in a payroll environment, giving first-level payroll advice and managing payroll processes.

The RHS is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Development Manager on a 12month contract (sabbatical cover) to help deliver our Vision for Volunteering and support the meaningful involvement of over 1,400 volunteers across our Gardens and Libraries.

About the Role

Based in Londong (Vincent Square) or Wisley,

In this influential role, you will champion best practice in volunteer engagement across several RHS sites, ensuring every volunteer feels welcomed, valued and able to contribute to our strategic goals. You will provide guidance, support, and expertise to Volunteer Supervisors across our Gardens and Libraries, helping to achieve the RHS Vision for Volunteering.

A central focus of this role is developing an inclusive volunteering culture, by removing barriers, improving accessibility, and actively broadening the diversity of our volunteer community. You will help streamline processes, refine systems, and cultivate environments that empower volunteers to thrive.

Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will work closely with Volunteer Managers at RHS Garden Wisley and RHS Garden Bridgewater, the central People Team and multiple internal teams, collectively working towards the implementation of the Vision for Volunteering.

Student Basic Needs Coordinator

£25,809 gross per annum, 35.5 hours per week

The role

This role is part of the Community, Advice & Support department working collectively with colleagues delivering the Guild’s students advice, community engagement, and students wellbeing and lifestyle campaigns and activities. The Community, Advice & Support department is part of the Community & Representation Directorate.

The role is required:

• To deliver Cost-of-Living projects and initiatives, with a particular focus on basic needs, money/finance matters. This includes undertaking the duties required for the setup and takedown of events, activities, and provisions.
• To empower students to effectively manage their finances, studies, health and wellbeing.
• To work collaboratively with Guild and University colleagues, administrating Hardship funds and assisting students in understanding and accessing these.

Success in the role will require a highly student and customer focused approach together with an emphasis on teamwork. The role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a positive ambassador for the Guild and facilitating under-represented groups to find a comfortable place here. Supporting a culture of ambitious targets and evaluation and promoting a positive team spirit are also key

Student Voice Coordinator (Student Leadership)

The Role

This role is part of the Student Voice & Representation department working collectively with colleagues delivering the Guild’s student advice, representation, democracy, policy and campaigns work. The Student Voice & Representation Team is part of the Community & Representation Directorate.

The Student Voice Coordinator (Student Leadership) role is to support delivery of the Student Voice & Representation departmental plan. We expect Coordinators to help to create an inclusive and engaging environment for all.

The role is required:

To support the Guild to become an expert in the student experience at Birmingham and to develop high impact campaigns that make changes for students on the issues that matter the most.

To support the development and training of student leaders, who are engaged with democracy, campaigns, and other change making activity, at Birmingham and equip them with skills, tools, and knowledge to deliver their change.

To provide elected Officers and student leaders with appropriate support in their roles to represent students at Birmingham.
