About You

You are a data-driven thinker with a passion for medical research and a talent for turning evidence into action. You are confident leading projects, managing data, and communicating complex ideas with clarity and purpose.

You bring:

• Experience of monitoring and evaluation, impact assessment, and the collection, analysis, reporting and management of data, ideally in medical research
• Familiarity with the UK biomedical research landscape
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, IT and data visualisation skills
• Line management expertise

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience of widely used databases (e.g. Dimensions, EuropePMC), survey tools
• Experience of Flexigrant or Flexigrant Insights
• Project management or strategic planning experience
• Confidence in presenting complex concepts to non-expert audiences

This is a full-time post, but we are happy to consider a part-time contract (min 0.8 FTE). 

We value spending time working in-person to develop strong connections with each other and with our mission, so you will be based at our central London office for a minimum of three days a week if you are full-time (Monday, Tuesday, and either Wednesday or Thursday) with the option to work remotely for the remainder.  If you are part-time, you will be office-based for at least 50% of your time.

The Roles

The successful candidates will support the Senior Therapeutic Wellbeing Manager and hold specific identified managerial responsibilities within the services delivered by TLC’s Therapeutic Wellbeing department. 

You will work closely with the Senior Therapeutic Wellbeing Manager and Management Team  to co-ordinate the delivery, monitoring and staff support and leadership across the organisation.

The successful candidates will have operational responsibility for the Counselling and Wellbeing services within their geographical areas and have  specific managerial responsibilities within the wider range of services delivered by TLC.

You will support the Head of Therapeutic Wellbeing to design and deliver against the department’s strategic objectives. 

You will work closely with the Management Team and Clinical Supervisors to ensure services are delivered to a high standard in line with TLC’s values and the BACP Ethical Framework.

Across the UK, over 200 Roald Dahl Nurses care for more than 40,000 children living with complex, lifelong conditions. They are often under the care of multiple specialists, across different hospitals.

The Communications Officer will play a key role in sharing the stories and impact of Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, helping to raise awareness of our work supporting seriously ill children and their families across the UK. Working closely with the PR Associate and Brand & Marketing Manager, this role will deliver creative, high-quality communications across media, digital, and print channels. NEA’s Fundraising and Partnerships team has seen sustained growth in income from public and corporate fundraising, helping to raise awareness of fuel poverty and expand our reach. Working as a part of the Fundraising Team, the role will focus on identifying and developing corporate partnerships, as well as overseeing NEA’s calendar of fundraising events. You will deliver high-quality stewardship and support to fundraisers, ensuring a positive and engaging experience. You’ll also be responsible for planning and executing a portfolio of challenge events, while cultivating meaningful relationships with a diverse range of corporate partners.

A key part of your role will be identifying and securing new opportunities for corporate support, while strengthening existing relationships to foster long-term engagement. You will also play an important role in supporting NEA’s corporate volunteering programme.

You’ll be part of a small, friendly, and hardworking team that works collaboratively to achieve shared goals. The role requires strategic thinking and hands-on delivery, so we’re looking for someone with demonstrable experience in fundraising or business development, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.

This is a hybrid role based at NEA’s Head Office in Newcastle upon Tyne, with national travel required to meet partners and attend events.

To lead the financial management and oversight of the ADB project, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant financial accounting, reporting, and oversight. The role will support the delivery of all financial aspects of the ADB project, including donor reporting, reconciliations, cost recovery, budgeting, and compliance, in close collaboration with programme colleagues and the wider AKF(UK) finance team. To contribute to the financial management of AKF(UK)’s wider programme portfolio and supporting the Programme Finance Manager in running efficient and effective financial processes across all AKF(UK)’s programmes and grants. 

Financial oversight, planning, and reporting

• Review all financial transactions related to the ADB project on a monthly basis and ensure that they are correct including cost recovery, co-financing, bank balances, and coding.

• Ensure the ADB project is up to date in the Grant Management Tracker, Co-financing Tracker and Cost Recovery forecast.

• Prepare financial information for internal reporting, including contributions to quarterly CEO reports, monthly dashboards, and co-finance updates.

• Prepare all ADB project donor financial reports and ensure consistency with internal data.

• Prepare and submit other donor financial reports as required.

• Monitor project and portfolio spending, flagging significant under & overspends in a timely manner to the Programme Finance Manager and Programmes & Partnerships team.

Financial controls, compliance, and audit

• Lead financial planning and monitoring for the ADB project, ensuring alignment with ADB compliance requirements and AKF(UK) internal controls.

• Support the design and implementation of quality controls, manuals, checklists, and tools to ensure compliance with donor requirements (ADB and others).

• Oversee compliance with donor and AKF(UK) rules on procurement, accounting, and project expenditure, supported by reporting, engagement with the field, and spot checks.

• Maintain internal tools (including AIMS) to track active ADB grants as well as other grants, ensuring data on secured funding, cost recovery, and cash balances remains up to date.

• Prepare for and support donor and statutory audits, with particular responsibility for the ADB project while also contributing to audits of other grants.

• Maintain an up-to-date audit and disallowance tracker for the ADB project, while supporting the Programme Finance Manager in tracking audit issues across all grants.

• Troubleshoot donor compliance or procurement queries, with emphasis on ADB but extending to other donor portfolios where needed. 

• Act as a resource person for ADB donor compliance within AKF(UK), while sharing knowledge and lessons learned more widely across the grants portfolio.

• Support wider Programme Finance team capacity-building efforts, drawing on insights from ADB donor requirements and practices.

Grant financial management

In close consultation with the programmes & partnerships team:

• Maintain accurate financial records and grant codes for the ADB project, while supporting the set-up and management of other grants as needed.

• Ensure timely submission of cash requests and sub-grant agreements, in compliance with both ADB and AKF(UK) standards, and support the same across the wider portfolio.

• Review budgets for ADB and other donor concepts/proposals, ensuring inclusion of AKF(UK) costs, compliance with donor requirements, and consistency with narratives.

• Support the in-country project management unit (PMU) to ensure that the project is robustly managed and proactively support the resolution of challenges as they arise.

• Provide training and reference materials for implementing partners and field staff on ADB-specific donor regulations, procurement, and reporting, while contributing to broader finance training across the organisation.

• Provide technical support and guidance to implementing partners and country units, with particular focus on ADB compliance but also assisting with other donor requirements as needed.

• Conduct monitoring visits and spot checks on the ADB project and participate in risk monitoring across the wider portfolio.

• Collaborate with the assigned Senior Partnerships Manager to align financial management with programme delivery.

Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Programme Finance Manager or the Head of Finance and Operations. The role will involve travel to countries in which we operate grants, particularly Afghanistan (security situation dependent). Normally this could be 1-2 trips per year.

Qualifications

• CCAB qualified accountant (desirable).

Experience

• 3 years relevant experience in financial accounting and financial reporting

• Experience of designing and managing effective administrative systems and procedures

• Experience of managing finances for large-scale, complex donor-funded projects. Experience of working with multilateral development banks (ADB, World Bank, AfDB, etc.) is highly desirable.

• Experience of budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management

• Experience working in international organisations or donor agencies, including field-level implementation, is highly desirable.

CPAG is seeking an AI Coordinator for a two-year fixed term to support our work in the responsible use of AI. In this role, you will lead on planning, delivering, and monitoring AI projects in collaboration with our partner organisations. This work involves the ongoing protection of CPAG's intellectual property and reputation as a sector leader. You’ll carry out regular evaluation of each project and regularly update stakeholders with performance metrics, user feedback, and impact assessments.

This new role also involves developing training materials and delivering sessions to upskill CPAG staff in AI technologies, with tailored materials for the needs of different teams. You will ‘own’ and maintain the relevant internal policy documents and processes for AI use and will oversee the use and optimisation of AI tools across the organisation. Alongside colleagues, you’ll manage risk and compliance (including legal and ethical standards) to ensure responsible AI adoption that is fully compatible with CPAG’s mission. You’ll monitor developments in AI, assessing new products for risk and opportunity, and share lessons learned across the charity.

We’re looking for someone with strong project coordination skills, experience of managing multiple stakeholders, and a keen interest in and experience of AI and emerging technologies.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is responsible for what happens in our parks and open spaces on Saturday and Sunday mornings, for the community of volunteers who make this happen and for how we support participants and event teams with their requests and queries.

This role oversees all aspects of delivering and supporting parkrun events across the world, collaborating with global colleagues to ensure that parkrun events continue to be delivered in line with our principles of simple, scalable, sustainable and our promise that they will be free, for everyone, forever. 

This role will also have oversight of the effective delivery of our volunteer strategy and will ensure that our volunteer community and ambassador networks global continue to grow, diversify and thrive.

Also overseeing the Support team who manage event risk assessments and respond to range queries, the successful candidate will be responsive to the learnings from the Support team and translate them into new policy or practice.

Finally, as a member of the SLT this role will help shape and deliver parkrun’s global strategy, championing event delivery and leading cross functional projects. 

Main responsibilities:

• Sets overall global strategy for event delivery, ensuring that parkrun events are not only safe and accessible, but the barriers to event delivery are minimised and the parkrun event delivery model remains simple, scalable, and sustainable.  This includes:

  • Working with the divisional event delivery leads to ensure best practice is developed, balancing local context and global direction

  • Ensuring that divisional event delivery teams are appropriately recording, classifying, actioning, and monitoring event-related incidents

  • Responsibility for operational of the critical incident line, staff and volunteer rostering and training

  • Monitoring critical medical incidents and maximising the safety of participants through proactively reviewing practices and policies

  • Responsibility for creating and maintaining global event delivery guidance, policies and procedures, as well as ensuring that guidance is shared appropriately and that event team adherence is monitored.

• Working with the Global Volunteering Lead to: 

  • To oversee the implementation of parkrun’s global volunteering strategy, and to ensure that volunteering is valued, celebrated and supported as a form of participation

  • Provide internal thought leadership to drive the delivery of a cohesive approach and voice for volunteering activities across our global organisation 

  • Drive forward effective digital and in-person volunteer engagement and high quality support, training and development

  • Oversee volunteer associated policies and procedures

  • Engage with external stakeholders in the volunteering space to ensure parkrun offers best practice in volunteer engagement.

• Working with the Global Head of Support to:
