Job Title: Housing Lead
Location: Bermondsey, Close to Surrey Quays station. Please note that this service has step free and lift access.
Salary: £30,400
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday between 09:00 - 17:00. You may be required to work outside these hours dependent on service and resident requirements.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a new community based service supporting offenders as they transition from prison back into the community; rather than a custodial setting, where residents are able to go out into the community depending on their licence restrictions. As our Housing Lead, you play a vital role in supporting residents futures by working closely with housing stakeholders and residents to create tailored, effective move on plans. You help ensure people have the right tools, support and opportunities to rebuild their lives, reconnect with the community and move forward with confidence in their rehabilitation journey.
Some Key Responsibilities include:
- Act as the main point of contact between landlords, housing associations, local authorities, private landlords, wider Social Interest Group Services, and our residents
- Work with the wider team to support residents with their long term needs
- Provide specialist support to the wider team to ensure they are regularly trained and kept up to date with policies and procedures, including government changes
- Provide regular reports and updates
- Manage current resident tenancies, ensuring timely rent payment
- Support with property and building management and maintenance including scheduling repairs
About You
We're looking for someone who has knowledge on different types of tenancies, an understanding of the types of needs of our resident group, and able to provide tailored solutions to meet their long term goals. You will have a true passion to support in making a change, supporting rehabilitation, and providing opportunities to people to make positive changes to their lives, and reintegrate into society. You will have a general understanding of the criminal justice system, and/or have experience supporting people with multiple/complex needs. Further, you will have:
- Previous experience in coordinating/delivering activities and interventions with people from different backgrounds
- Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector
- Knowledge of risk management and risk assessment
- Knowledge of license conditions and public protection
- Knowledge of tenancy management, able to share knowledge with others in the team and residents
- Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs
- The ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral. Ability to form and build effective relationships and rapport with others
- Ability to influence and negotiate positive outcomes with others; Proactive in making decisions
- Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents

Empowering independence through trauma-informed solutions and dynamic partnerships that keep people out of prison, out of hospital and off the streets
Reporting to: Premises Manager
Location: Baca office, Loughborough, England. The role will require regular travel to other locations where Baca’s services are delivered
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week including some evening and weekend hours may be required
Salary: £24,754 - £28,454 per annum
Overall Purpose
To provide maintenance support to the organisation, ensuring premises are maintained at a standard that will serve the mission of Baca. This will include properties across Loughborough and 2 office sites.
Duties Responsibilities
- Organise and conduct required maintenance at all Baca sites. The below list is not exhaustive but some of the below skills will be required to fulfil the role; General Plumbing; bathroom and kitchen plumbing repairs, blocked toilets & sinks etc, Painting and Decorating, basic carpentry skills, Meter Reading for electricity and gas meters, Fire Testing; routine testing of smoke and CO alarms.
- To become familiar and actively use the Baca’s maintenance management system which aids the reactive and planned works across all sites.
- Communicating with contractors, residential workers and landlords as required, ensuring repairs and maintenance is conducted when planned.
- Administering quarterly checks, quarterly cleans, health and safety requirements and annual servicing such as: PAT testing and Gas safety on properties and reporting issues for follow up.
- Working alongside the Premises Manager, administer the Health & Safety checks on all Baca properties including the offices, to ensure regulatory requirements are met and associated paperwork is completed.
- Support in the setting-up and closing down of properties and rooms between moves.
- Administering the setup and set-down of rooms for young people moves between Baca properties, ensuring the rooms are ready for new young people.
- Ensuring the office and car parks are clean and tidy, ensuring visitor experience is positive, professional, welcoming, friendly and helpful.
- Assist the Premises Manager and Finance Manager with year-end Fixed Assets verification.
- Supporting with other administrative activities in line with the team needs.
General:
- Play an active and supportive role within the organisation.

The successful applicant will need access to transport as the role requires travel between the properties that Baca manages including the transportation of items to the properties.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience
- Good knowledge/understanding of the building and maintenance process.

- Advocate of customer care including experience of dealing with a range of client queries/concerns in a professional and understanding manner.

Financial Management & Reporting

About the role

We are supporting a specialist charity providing refuge and accommodation-based support to survivors of domestic abuse.
The Board is seeking an experienced Interim Chief Executive Officer to provide confident and steady leadership. You will be accountable for a team of approximately 30 staff, reporting to a Board of seven trustees, and leading through three experienced direct reports (services, finance and fundraising).
This role combines organisational and people leadership with a strong and essential focus on legal and regulatory compliance.
The primary focus of the role is to ensure the charity remains fully compliant with all statutory and regulatory obligations. The Interim CEO will hold executive oversight of property compliance, health and safety, risk management, audit assurance and data protection (including acting as DPO). This includes ensuring robust systems across fire safety, gas and electrical safety, asbestos management, insurance, lease oversight and broader organisational controls.
The successful candidate will bring:
- Proven senior leadership experience, including working closely with a Board of Trustees
- Executive-level experience overseeing property portfolios and safety compliance
- Strong knowledge of housing/property legislation and health and safety regulations
- Experience embedding risk management frameworks and audit oversight
- Technical understanding of building maintenance and regulatory standards
- Preferably, relevant professional or health and safety qualifications (e.g. IOSH or equivalent)
Alongside technical capability, we are seeking a leader with high emotional intelligence, integrity and resilience, someone able to build trusted relationships across staff, trustees and external stakeholders, and provide a stabilising presence within a trauma-informed, survivor-centred environment.
Experience within domestic abuse or a commitment to learning about domestic abuse, coercive control and trauma-informed leadership is essential.

JOB PURPOSE
The Resettlement Coordinator supports the Resettlement & Housing Needs Service Manager with both the development and the day to day running of the Resettlement Team, the core team within The Passage Resource Centre. The Resettlement Coordinator line manages a team of Resettlement Workers, who are responsible for the initial assessment of service users. The Resettlement Coordinator will lead the team in providing advice and housing-related support to clients with a wide range of needs to enable them to sustain their tenancies, improve their quality of life and increase self-reliance.

Ensuring that all service users receive high-quality Triage Assessments and Needs Assessments, support, care and advice that is focused on their strengths and goals, and delivered in a way that suits them and within a framework of active engagement, positive risk taking and person-centred planning.

Ensuring that effective and reliable assessments are carried out and that person centred Resettlement Plans and Safety Plans are created and updated for all service users through a lead case worker system.

Ensuring that the service users' rights to privacy, dignity and self-determination are promoted, and that their rights as citizens are upheld.

Ensuring as far as possible that service users are involved in the management of the service and that regular service user consultation occurs.

Resource Centre Management
Working closely with the Operations Coordinator to ensure the provision of high-quality service delivery within the Passage Resource Centre through:

Assisting with incident management and follow up to instances of anti-social behaviour, or other breaches of the Service User Agreement.

Assisting with Duty Manager shift cover within the Resource Centre as needed to ensure service continuity.

Information Management

Ensuring the team is recording and updating. To ensure the Resettlement Team are keeping accurate record keeping, while maintaining timely record keeping using internal database as well as client files and ensuring all record keeping is kept securely in line with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

Ensuring that The Passage’s policies and procedures in relation to information management, monitoring and reporting are fully implemented, in an accurate and timely way, ensuring that all staff members are clear about their responsibilities.

Ensuring the collation and submission of accurate and timely monitoring information for external bodies as required.

Participating in the production of promotional information in relation to The Passage’s services.

Regularly reviewing and analysing data from In-Form to identify gaps in delivery, monitor caseloads, identify trends and to plan service delivery.

Work with colleagues to ensure that any potential corporate patrons are communicated with and are developed to their fullest potential.
2. Events / Award Evening

Organising and managing CRASH Events whilst promoting the charity's cause and engaging with attendees and volunteers.

Support Corporate Patrons with their fundraising initiatives provide materials. QR codes and guidance on Just Giving platforms.

Manage the Run for Charity Relationships. Draft content and communications to promote running events. Manage relationships with individuals participating in fundraising runs to ensure their needs are met and encourage continued support.

Manage the attendance at Award Evenings preparing for attendance at award evenings and charitable collections which may include securing raffle prizes from Corporate Patrons. This may be outside of working hours, and you will receive time off in lieu to compensate.

Recruiting volunteers from Corporate Patrons for regular events and award evenings.

Ensure events are delivered to a high standard of safety, accessibility, participant experience and financial success.
3. Finance

Acknowledge corporate patron donations, attending cheque presentations and photo opportunities as necessary, working with Marketing and Communications Manager to generate positive media coverage.

Ensure the monthly management of all income is recorded and reconciled accurately and promptly on Access database.

Ensure Gift Aid claims are completed and submitted after each CRASH event working in collaboration with the Finance Manager.
4. General

Ensure Fundraising Calendar and activities are up to date on the website

Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Manager to ensure regular and engaging content to promote fundraising activity and initiatives.

Utilising ACT Database, maintain an accurate record of supporter details and activity ensuring they receive relevant and timely communication resulting in ongoing fundraising opportunities and development of long-term support

To be aware of and adhere to the Institute of Fundraising Codes of Conduct and Codes of Best Practice.

To have up to date knowledge, understanding and compliance of GDPR regulations including the handling and protecting personal data in accordance with GDPR guidelines

To represent the charity publicly when required.

Ad-hoc travel to project visits, events and Corporate Patron meetings.
