Area Manager (Young People’s Services)
Our client is a dynamic, passionate charity, committed to improving the lives of children across the UK. They currently run over 100 local services that help thousands of young people who desperately need support, as well as campaigning to change laws and policies to make children’s lives both happier and safer. The team is now looking to appoint an Area Manager to oversee the delivery of a portfolio of frontline services focussed on youth people’s mental health and emotional wellbeing across the North East.
As Area Manager for the North East you will manage the delivery and development of youth-focused services across a large geographical area and will nurture and develop partnerships (both internally and externally) that are already in place. You will represent the organisation in a variety of ways, and you will be required to engage in strategic influencing at a central government level, amplifying and championing youth voice. You will lead a dispersed team of Service Managers, setting high performance standards, ensuring that services are safe, effective and beneficiary-focussed. You will obtain, analyse and use information effectively to make informed and evidence-based decisions that support the efficient management and development of services.
Our client is seeking an experienced leader with significant experience of managing, developing and evaluating effective and innovative services for vulnerable children and families. You will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of issues relating to services for young people, specifically around emotional wellbeing, mental health and exploitation. You will also have proven experience of managing large, geographically-dispersed teams, and will have significant experience of tendering and commissioning processes and managing a variety of contracts.
In order to apply please initially submit your CV in the first instance. Should your experience be suitable, we will then arrange a suitable time to brief you on the role.
