Prospectus are excited to be supporting our client in their search for a Data Management Officer to join them on a temporary basis to help them through a period of change. SCAA plays a vital role in delivering pre-hospital emergency care across Scotland, and the Data Management Officer will play a crucial role in helping to ensure their supporter data, systems and insights are delivering maximum impact. This position offers £17.90 per hour, and is a full-time, temporary position for up to 6 months.
You will be an experienced Data Management Officer, combining technical expertise with a collaborative approach and a genuine passion for using data to support charitable impact. You’ll be confident managing and developing CRM systems – ideally DonorFlex – ensuring data accuracy, integrity and accessibility. You’ll bring experience managing large datasets, with the ability to use data visualisation tools, and a solid understanding of fundraising data and compliance. You will be confident building relationships with key stakeholders and producing high-quality reporting that supports informed decision making. You’ll also be confident mapping and formalising processes to ensure the continuity, integrity and relevance of the data being processed and stored. You'll be the go-to person for CRM support, data governance and process improvement, helping colleagues use data effectively while ensuring compliance with GDPR and fundraising best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the charity's CRM system, ensuring data quality, integrity and effective system performance through data cleansing, imports, integrations and process improvements.
- Maintain data structures, workflows, documentation and governance processes to support efficient and compliant operations.
- Provide CRM support and training to colleagues, working with software providers and third parties to resolve issues and optimise system use.
- Manage fundraising and lottery data imports, ensuring accurate income recording and reconciliation.
- Deliver audience selections, reports and dashboards to support fundraising, marketing, KPI tracking and organisational decision-making.
- Analyse supporter and campaign data to identify opportunities for donor acquisition, retention and growth.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, supporter preferences, Gift Aid requirements and data-related financial reporting.
- Work closely with Fundraising, Marketing and Finance teams to support audience segmentation, campaign performance and reporting.
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to CRM users across the organisation, promoting best practice in data management.
- Identify and implement improvements to systems, processes and reporting, contributing to wider data and insights projects.
