Finance Operations Manager

Prospectus is delighted to be supporting our client, a national cancer charity, in the search for a Finance Operations Manager to join the organisation on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced charity finance professional to lead financial operations, manage a small team and support the delivery of accurate, timely financial accounting across a nationally recognised charity.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will oversee transaction processing, reconciliations, controls and compliance, while driving continuous improvement and helping to streamline and automate finance processes. The role will include line management responsibility for two team members and requires someone who is happy to remain hands-on when needed.

We are looking for candidates with proven experience managing finance operations within the charity sector, strong financial accounting knowledge, and the confidence to build effective relationships with stakeholders across the organisation. Previous people management experience is essential, as is the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues. Experience of Microsoft Business Central and strong Excel skills will be highly advantageous.

This role offers hybrid working, with attendance at the London Bridge office required approximately four days per month.
