This charity is made up of an astounding group of professionals who believe that people's sight matters. This is a pivotal moment for the charity, as they prepare for the opening of the new Centre for Eye Health in 2027, and evolve into a national funder to expand their grant making reach and impact across the UK. The team is looking to appoint a fundraising officer (community and events) on a 1-year contract and Prospectus is leading the search. 

Fundraising officer (community and events) 

1-Year fixed term contract, 37.5 hours per week (flexible working available) 

Hybrid (2 days in Old Street) 

£37,995 - £44,977 

The fundraising officer will play a key role in delivering and growing the charity's events and community fundraising programme, with a focus on increasing supporter participation, income, retention and long-term engagement. This will include leading on the planning, delivery and evaluation of key activity such as the charity's flagship events (including Eye to Eye and a proposed abseil), third-party challenge events (e.g., London Marathon and The Big Half), and supporter-led community fundraising. 

The selected candidate will be an experienced events and/or community fundraiser, with a confident, proactive approach and strong relationship-building skills. You will bring excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, be comfortable working with a range of internal and external stakeholders and suppliers, and be motivated by delivering high-quality supporter experiences. You will also be able to monitor performance against agreed targets (income, participation, ROI and engagement) and use insight and CRM data to continuously improve activity.
