Operations and Systems Manager

Prospectus is delighted to be supporting a global non-profit organisation that works to improve the lives, rights, and well-being of older people around the globe. We are recruiting for a newly created role – Operations and Systems Manager. This is a full-time role to be based out of any of the following countries, either remotely or with some in-person working from their London office - United Kingdom, Ethiopia, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Spain, Tanzania, Turkey or Zimbabwe.

With line management responsibility for an IT Officer, the Operations and Systems Manager has strategic responsibility for operational improvement,  IT governance, risk management, and digital transformation, and provides functional leadership, ensuring they are effective, resilient and aligned with the organisation’s 2030 Strategy. Working across a partner-led, multi-country environment, the role covers operational policies and procedures, contracts and insurance, travel, and systems, technology and digital improvement initiatives. It also encompasses IT governance, cybersecurity, technology risk management, data protection and business continuity, with appropriate systems and controls in place to manage risk and strengthen organisational resilience. Working collaboratively across the organisation, the Operations and Systems Manager ensures that operational and technology services are responsive to the needs of staff, partners and stakeholders, support continuous improvement and enable the delivery of strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will bring significant progressive experience in Operation and IT management in an international or multi country environment which includes strong operational management and business support experience, and continuous improvement of policies, systems and processes. You will bring strong operational experience in key areas such as partner contracting processes, insurance, data protection and will have experience of engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You will also demonstrate excellent leadership capabilities with experience of thinking strategically. In addition, you will bring experience of overseeing IT and will have demonstrable experience of facilitating and embedding systems development, including staff support and training in this area.
