Philanthropy Manager

62,000 children and young people are bereaved of a parent or sibling every year in the year UK. Our client was the first organisation in the UK to provide specialist support to grieving children and while much has changed since their founding in 1992, their desire to make difference to as many children and young people's lives as they can remains undimmed. They are now seeking a Philanthropy Manager to join their team and Prospectus is proud to be leading the search. 

As Philanthropy Manager, you'll lead the charity's high-value fundraising, growing income from major donors and trusts & foundations. You'll manage and inspire a small team, build strong relationships with existing and prospective funders, and personally cultivate six and seven-figure gifts. The role also involves developing compelling cases for support, overseeing donor stewardship and cultivation events, and supporting a culture of philanthropy across the organisation.

Our client is looking for someone with significant experience in high-value fundraising, particularly major donor and trusts & foundations income, with a strong track record of securing five and six-figure gifts. You'll bring excellent relationship-building skills, strategic planning experience, and the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team. Experience developing fundraising strategies, managing budgets, and delivering against targets will also be important for success in this role.
