Purpose of the job

Working across the Network Delivery Department, you will support the efficient day to day administration and co-ordination of the teams. You will play a critical role providing administrative and co-ordination support for the Network Delivery Department ensuring we have strong processes and ways of working to deliver our ambitious goals. You will support individual project teams to deliver specific work streams to help us enable all young people to thrive.

Key responsibilities

Provide administrative and coordination support to the Network Delivery Department to ensure the smooth running of the Department. This includes but is not limited to:

• Support the implementation of new systems and processes across the Department and ensure all are kept up to date

• Maintain team and departmental inboxes and provide first point of contact for enquiries, working across the team to ensure efficient communication and stakeholder satisfaction

• Provide logistical and administrative support to Project Managers relating to the delivery of our youth work programmes and activities with our networks

• Administrative duties including scheduling meetings, minute taking and booking venues/ catering

• Coordinate logistics for the delivery of events and public affairs activity related to the department

• Support ongoing work on departmental process improvement and new filing systems on SharePoint

• Manage and maintain databases and CRM; champion CRM use across the department

• Maintaining budgets, as appropriate

• Booking and arranging travel for young people participating in our programmes

• Manage departmental meetings and support with arranging team away days

• Managing the creation of a range of project documents using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and other software packages

• Support the development of marketing and communications materials

Founded by Queen Alexandra in 1912, Alexandra Rose Charity (ARC) has a long history of supporting people experiencing poverty in the UK. Our vision is for everyone to have access to healthy and affordable food, and our mission is to give families on low incomes access to fresh fruit and vegetables in their local communities whilst advocating for systemic change to address food insecurity and health inequalities.

Since 2014, ARC has pioneered the use of financial incentives to improve access to healthy food and combat food insecurity through our Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg projects. To date, we have supported over 11,000 families, including over 20,000 children, to access £3.5 million of fresh fruit and vegetables in their local communities.

To deliver this scale, we work with 73 children and family centres and community organisations, 69 market traders and independent retailers, two fruit and vegetable vans and one fruit and vegetable delivery box scheme. About the role  

As we launch our new 5 year strategy we are looking for an experienced Head of Finance & Business Services to help deliver our mission and support the growth and consolidation of the charity. As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will play a key role in implementing our new strategy as well as managing risk.

You will take overall responsibility for the organisation’s financial management, working closely with the Chief Executive and the Treasurer.

You will provide effective finance business partner support to other functions within the charity to support its fundraising, operations and development.

You will also be responsible for the line management of the Finance & Business Administrator, working with the Chief Executive to both oversee and support the business services function of the charity.

About Us

Safer Waves was set up in 2019 to provide support to merchant seafarers who have experienced sexual assault, sexual harassment or gender discrimination on board.

Safer Waves provides an anonymous email support service, run by volunteers who are trained in responding to disclosures of sexual violence, and who understand the specific challenges experienced when these events happen onboard a vessel.

We work with shipping companies, industry leaders, law enforcement and maritime training providers to raise awareness of sexual violence within the maritime industry, and to improve the support that is available to seafarers who experience it.

Job Purpose

For the first 5 years, Safer Waves has been a volunteer-led organisation. We are now in the exciting position of being able to recruit a CEO, and we are looking for an individual who has the passion to see this new organisation thrive in the maritime welfare sector.

As the head of a small and rapidly developing organisation, the CEO role will be extremely varied, with the opportunity to shape the organisational structure as needed. The CEO will work closely with the trustee board and Operations Manager to deliver the strategy, improve sustainability and financial resilience, manage risk and deliver high-quality services to our beneficiaries.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Finance: Maintain and develop relationships with funders, and find new funding streams for the charity. Prepare budgets and control spending accordingly.

• Risk management and compliance: Work with the trustees to ensure strong governance, including effective management of risks and compliance with current legislation.

• Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with international organisations including charities, shipping companies, law enforcement and government agencies among others.

• Line management: Manage staff and volunteers

• Communications and Outreach: Work with the Operations Manager, Trustees and volunteers to raise the profile of the charity and increase the number of seafarers reached

The Spear Assistant Coach will work as part of the River Church staff team, alongside the Centre Manager to deliver the Spear Programme, equipping and empowering 16-24 year olds to overcome barriers to employment and turn their lives around by moving into sustainable work or further education.

Key Responsibilities 

Spear Programme

• Lead group sessions of up to 10 young people, using coaching skills to transform their mindsets, and to maximise their potential in stepping into the world of work.
• Prepare and deliver coaching sessions on a weekly basis and find creative ways of developing ongoing relationships with Spear trainees. This includes running application workshops with past trainees as well as maintaining records and reporting on statistics. 

Relationship Management

Church Community

• The Assistant Coach is directly employed by River Church, though it is not a requirement of the role for the successful candidate to join River Church as their worshipping community if they are already part of another local church

Key Responsibilities

Oversight of the Spear Programme

Spear Foundation is a 4-week initial phase, consisting of 2 group sessions plus a 1:1 with each trainee per week, in which we coach young people around skills and mindsets to support them in returning to work or education, and equip them with the skills to stay there. ​

• Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Assistant Coach.
• Oversee all aspects of the programme coordination and delivery.
• Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report to Resurgo and the church on enrolment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees, as well as their ongoing progress.

Partnership liaison and relationship management

• Build and implement a strategy for developing and maintaining relationships with local referral partners to build the profile of the Spear programme within Ipswich and ensure the young people who would benefit from the programme are able to access it.
• Steward relationships with young people after initial point of contact, to encourage enrolment and ensure a full cohort is enrolled for each programme.

Line management and training

• Manage the Spear Assistant Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development.
• Work with and be managed by River Church staff locally, and by a Church Partnerships Manager from Resurgo on a national level, to ensure the flourishing of the Spear centre, its team and young people, and to ensure the fulfilment of our shared mission in Ipswich.
• Work with and report to Resurgo teams on KPIs, and use outcomes data to maximise the effectiveness of the programme.

Supporting River Church’s mission and ministry

• Establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement of church members and to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme, though it is not a requirement of the role for the successful candidate to join River Church as their worshipping community if they are already part of another local church
• Work with the Head of Operations and the Fundraising Assistant to prepare grant funding applications for Spear Ipswich, and provide timely grant reporting.
• Keep the River Church congregation updated on the Spear programme to ensure it is a seamless part of the church’s missional work.

Leeds Citizens Advice & Law Centre has been providing free and independent advice for more than 80 years, offering access to justice for people experiencing disadvantage or discrimination. In November 2024, we joined the Law Centres Network and have secured funding to expand our legal advice service.

We’re looking for a Solicitor or CILEx to supervise our housing advice team and legal aid contract. The team offers complex casework and representation to clients facing possession, eviction, serious disrepair and housing issues related to DAV and to anti-social behaviour. You will have 3 years’ PQE in housing law and be able to manage a wide range of cases, as well as experience of working under a legal aid contract, supervising caseworkers, and meeting targets.

About the role

Reporting to the Director of Housing, we are looking for a Head of Maintenance and Estates to lead on the effective delivery of an efficient and customer focused maintenance and estate service across our properties within SIG. Managing a small team, you will focus on management and leadership activities to empower staff to achieve high quality results in the service. You will take oversight of the Maintenance and Estates function, to ensure the smooth running of upkeep and repair operations, working with various teams internally and externally to build sustainable working relationships.

You will have overall responsibility for ensuring policies and processes are up to date and that the way the function is run has continuous improvement. You will lead with creating and implementing a strategic plan, supporting with short to medium to long term objectives. You will work to ensure properties and estates are kept safe, to required standards and lead the team towards achieving the SIG ‘Good Homes’ standard.

About you

We are looking for someone who has extensive experience in managing similar repairs and estates services and who is able to lead a team to be empowered to provide a high-quality service. You will be able to to develop and implement maintenance plans, strategies, and procedures, and have confidence to take ownership of your department, making key decisions.

• Management and leadership experience, including with direct line of reports and indirect
• Experience in developing and implementing formal maintenance plans, strategies, and procedures with a key eye to detail
• Experience in directing and delivering customer service functions, ideally in a repairs and maintenance or cleaning context
• Experience in completing and managing risk assessments
• A recognised building services qualification and/or any of the following: NEBOSH, IOSH, Certificate in Occupational Heath and Safety, Legionella Awareness, Asbestos Duty Manager Training, Fire Safety Qualification

The Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser is a key role in our fundraising team and has two key aims: 

• Driving significant income growth from corporate partnerships, by taking Maggie’s national partnership proposition to businesses to meet ambitious but achievable targets.  
• Delivering and growing key partnerships with support from the other members of the Corporate Partnerships and Centre Fundraising Teams. 

In order to achieve these aims, two other key elements of the job will be: 

• Supporting with the development and delivery of corporate collateral and engagement tools to steward existing partners and attract new ones – such as webinars and networking events.
• Supporting Centre Fundraisers to grow partnership income from companies of all sizes and will assist in the development of engagement initiatives to cultivate new and existing supporters – for example by leading on our Christmas Corporate Appeal. 

Although this is an office based role, a typical week will involve travel to corporate offices and other Maggie's locations.  There will be a requirement to work occasional irregular hours. 

We are looking for a part-time administrator to join our team. This is an ideal opportunity for a first job or for someone looking to return to work. You would be working within our membership services team and need to be computer literate using Microsoft Office (Word & Excel on a Windows PC). Experience in using an online database, such as Civi-CRM, is also advantageous but not essential. We will provide full support and training as needed. 

We need good verbal and written communication skills as you will be public facing handling a range of telephone and email enquires. You'd be undertaking a range of administration roles and this would include dispatching goods from our online shop as well as dealing with new membership applications and services relevent to our members. We'd also love you to join our team at our annual conference assisting with administration, this is 3-4 nights away (all expenses paid) and so you need to be confident in presenting yourself and us on the registration desk and in other duties as necessary. 

We would require you, as a minimum, to work for some of your hours in our Ipswich based office but there is opportunity to work from home for some of your hours if that suits you. Alternatively, if you'd rather work at all times from our office thats fine as well.

Your starting salary is £25,526 pro rata and we provide a pension scheme. We provide an annual incremental rise (for 5-years recognising service and increasing knowledge) as well as any pay award as determined by our trustees. Role details:

The BDA is seeking a new Research Manager to work as part of the Education and Professional Practice Team, leading on the research and impact activities of professional dietetic practice. The role will also provide line management within the team.

The role will support the BDA’s Strategic Plan 2024-34 and lead the growth and delivery of the annual Research Symposium. The role will suit a candidate with a sound understanding and experience of the breadth of dietetic practice and research, and the factors that influence it. Working innovatively the post holder will develop and progress research within dietetic practice, building confidence in the dietetic workforce to be research active.  

 Ideal candidate:

We are looking for somebody who is an expert in research methodologies, and appraisal and is comfortable setting and influencing research strategy.  Ideally we would like somebody who has or is studying for their doctorate in dietetics and experience working in a practice setting would be advantageous. This is a senior internal and external facing role working alongside the Director of Education Practice and Research, and the Education and Practice Managers. The candidate will enjoy supporting colleagues and members to engage and deliver research related projects, and demonstrate impact through evidence-based practice.

Animal Welfare Investigations Project (AWIP) is a specialist not-for-profit organisation dedicated to ending cruelty through intelligence-led investigations, criminal prosecutions, and systemic change.

We are investing heavily in building a world-class legacy fundraising program. We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Legacy Officer to help steward our most visionary supporters — securing transformational gifts that will protect animals for generations to come.

About the Role

As our Legacy Officer, you will be at the heart of one of the most important projects in AWIP’s future.

You will:

• Build warm, trusting relationships with legacy pledgers and prospects.

• Respond to supporter enquiries about Gifts in Wills.

• Steward confirmed pledgers through personalised updates, thank you letters, and occasional calls or events.

• Maintain accurate CRM records for legacy prospects and pledgers.

• Create simple, heartfelt communications to inspire and retain pledgers.

• Host occasional small-scale legacy events (virtual or in-person).

• Report on progress to the Executive Director.

This is a 12-month temporary contract with a strong possibility of extension or becoming permanent based on program growth and conversion performance.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

Role Details

• Contract: 12 months initially, with strong potential to extend or become permanent.
