£28,860 per year (London Living Wage)

Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week)

What the job involves

This is a great opportunity to start a career in fundraising and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of individual giving activities. You'll support our Acquisition, Retention, and Legacy and In Memory teams, helping them stay organised and deliver impactful fundraising campaigns and projects. Your work could include checking supporter communications, coordinating feedback from a calling campaign, responding to a shared inbox, or making sure fundraisers have the materials they need. You'll work with colleagues, agencies and suppliers, build your knowledge of different fundraising approaches, and help us provide an excellent experience for every supporter. You don't need previous fundraising experience, as we'll support you to learn and develop in the role.

Alongside supporting campaigns, you'll keep project plans, trackers and information up to date, help bring together campaign results and supporter feedback, and support day-to-day administration such as purchase orders and invoices. Working closely with colleagues across Fundraising, Supporter Care, Data and Insight, you'll gain a broad understanding of how fundraising campaigns are delivered while helping projects stay organised, on schedule and compliant with data protection requirements.

What we want from you

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and eager to learn, with a strong eye for detail and pride in delivering high-quality work. You'll be a great communicator, comfortable building positive relationships with a range of people, following up on actions and managing competing priorities to meet deadlines.

You might have experience supporting customers, supporters, service users or members of the public, but what matters most is your enthusiasm, curiosity and willingness to learn. You'll be able to use your initiative within clear guidelines, bring information together, spot potential issues and know when to seek support.

You'll be comfortable using Microsoft Office and a range of digital tools, handle personal information with care, and share our commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and allyship. Previous fundraising experience isn't required. We're looking for someone who wants to develop new skills, gain hands-on experience and build a rewarding career in fundraising.

How and where we work

Colleagues attend the office at least four days per month (pro rata for part-time colleagues) to collaborate, build relationships, and support projects and decision-making. You can choose where to work the rest of the time. Travel to the office is a commute, so we pay our own travel costs.

Additional in-person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues.
