£36,250 - £39,500 per year

What the job involves

Help us make it easier for men affected by prostate cancer to access the support they need, when they need it most. In this new role, you’ll develop and grow new referral and signposting pathways into Prostate Cancer UK’s services, working with NHS clinicians, Trusts and partner organisations to ensure more men and their loved ones get the right support at the right time.

You’ll build strong relationships across healthcare, charities and local services, identifying opportunities to connect people with our support services and putting the right operational and governance arrangements in place to make these pathways successful and sustainable.

Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll test and improve innovative approaches, using data and insight to understand what works best. You’ll play a key role in shaping future service delivery, ensuring our support reaches more people who need it.

What we want from you

We’re looking for someone with experience working across the UK health system and a strong understanding of cancer care, patient pathways and the role these support services play in improving patient outcomes. You’ll need to be confident building trusted relationships with clinicians, NHS Trusts and partner organisations, and have the curiosity to spot opportunities and test new ideas turning them into meaningful solutions.

You’ll need to be data literate and comfortable using insight to measure impact, improve services and inform decision-making. An understanding of service improvement, health inequalities and the potential of technology to enhance service delivery will help you succeed in this role.

Most importantly, you’ll be a proactive collaborator who works well across teams, communicates with confidence and brings fresh thinking to challenges. Organised, self-motivated and able to manage competing priorities, you’ll be driven by making a difference and committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

How and where we work

Colleagues attend the office at least four days per month (pro rata for part-time colleagues) to collaborate, build relationships, and support projects and decision-making. You can choose where to work the rest of the time. Travel to the office is a commute, so we pay our own travel costs.

Additional in-person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues.
