Fundraising Manager
Salary: £38,220 per annum
Full-time: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Location: Northampton, with hybrid working (minimum two days per week in the office)
Help shape the future of fundraising at Psoriasis UK.
This is a new role and a rare opportunity to become Psoriasis UK’s first specialist fundraiser.
We have strong foundations, a clear mission and an established community of supporters. We are now looking for an experienced fundraiser to help us broaden and grow our fundraising portfolio, develop new income opportunities and build lasting relationships with supporters.
As Fundraising Manager, you will lead and develop fundraising across the charity, with particular responsibility for individual giving, community fundraising, legacy and in-memoriam giving, alongside developing other opportunities for voluntary income.
You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You might be developing a fundraising plan one day, writing an appeal or funding application the next, and supporting a community fundraiser or building a new partnership after that. You will work closely with colleagues across Psoriasis UK and with senior leadership to ensure fundraising supports our strategic priorities – Supporting People, Driving Research and Advancing Care – and generates sustainable income for our work.
This is an exciting time to join Psoriasis UK as we complete our transition from the Psoriasis Association and look ahead to the next stage of our development. You will join a small, committed team where you will have the autonomy to make the role your own and the opportunity to bring fresh ideas, expertise and energy to our fundraising.
About you
We are looking for an experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of generating income from a range of sources. You will be comfortable balancing a varied portfolio and moving between strategic planning and practical delivery.
You will have experience of developing fundraising activity, balancing strong relationships with supporters and partners, and using data and performance measures to inform your work. Experience in individual giving and / or legacy fundraising is particularly relevant, alongside an understanding of community fundraising and other voluntary income streams.
You will be an excellent communicator and relationship builder, with the confidence to work independently while collaborating effectively across a small team. You will also bring empathy and sensitivity when working with supporters and families, particularly in relation to legacy and in-memoriam giving.
You don’t need to have experience in every area of fundraising. We are particularly interested in someone with the breadth, initiative and enthusiasm to develop a varied portfolio and help shape fundraising for the future.
