Stock Condition Surveyor – Interim

Location: Home Counties
Duration: 3–6 months
Rate: £35–£40 per hour Umbrella

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Stock Condition Surveyor to join a social housing provider on an interim basis.

The role will involve carrying out detailed stock condition surveys across occupied and empty homes, communal areas and external elements, assessing component condition and remaining life, and identifying HHSRS hazards.

Key responsibilities:

• Undertake stock condition and HHSRS surveys across social housing properties.
• Identify hazards and ensure remedial actions are raised and followed through.
• Accurately record survey data, photographs and relevant asset information.
• Produce technical reports and recommendations.
• Identify components approaching the end of their lifecycle to support investment planning.
• Work closely with Asset Management, Property Services and Housing teams.

About you:

• Previous experience undertaking stock condition surveys within social housing.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance, repairs and landlord responsibilities.
• Good understanding of HHSRS and housing health & safety.
