About this role
The Philanthropy Manager will own an assigned portfolio of prospects and donors at five to six figure level and act as the day-to-day relationship manager within that portfolio.
The role plans and delivers cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activity to agreed KPIs, makes timely operational decisions within scope, and escalates risks/opportunities early.
The post holder contributes evidence and insight into team planning, supports senior colleagues on major/strategic accounts, and collaborates across teams to ensure high quality, inclusive delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Own and manage an assigned portfolio of prospects and donors at the five to six figure level, delivering agreed income and engagement targets.
- Build and maintain professional, long-term relationships within the portfolio, escalating strategic issues or risks promptly.
- Act as the day-to-day relationship manager for donors in your portfolio, adapting style to audience and context and ensuring clear, timely communications; seek support for major strategic relationships.
- Maintain structured cultivation plans with milestones, update stakeholders proactively, and adjust plans based on learning.
- Develop clear, evidence-led proposals and reports using agreed templates, definitions and KPIs; quality check data before submission.
- Support senior colleagues on major prospects with briefings, meeting notes, and follow ups.
- Supporting Senior Philanthropy Managers, Development Directors and the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships on key accounts (typically £500k–£1m+), preparing high quality materials and inputs and maintaining accurate records of progress through the fundraising cycle in Salesforce.
- Contribute insights to identify and prioritise new grant opportunities and themes; share relevant sector updates with the team.
- Co-develop stewardship plans tailored to donor priorities in collaboration with Engagement, Pro Bono and Events teams.
- Maintain accurate, complete records in Salesforce; apply definitions consistently and quality check data before reporting.
- Maintain Salesforce and contribute inputs for SMT/committee reporting via the Senior Philanthropy Manager; propose lightweight improvements to existing processes.
- Keep professional knowledge current; share useful updates/resources and ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
- Support delivery of major fundraising, cultivation and stewardship events, and ad-hoc Philanthropy Team activities.

Person specification
Essential
- Demonstrable experience generating gifts at five to six figures from UK trusts, corporate partnerships and/or foundations.
- Ability to work through the fundraising cycle with donors to initiate, renew and grow gifts.
- Experience developing partnerships and managing an allocated portfolio of donor relationships.
- Excellent research and prospecting skills.
- Strong experience using Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, and substantive experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM.
- Strong planning and organisation skills – build structured plans with milestones/dependencies and track portfolio income/expenditure, highlighting variances early.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong bid-writing and storytelling ability.
- Ability to grasp and convey complex ideas, including Impetus’ model and the private equity industry.
- Able to engage confidently and professionally with senior stakeholders, adapting style and seeking support where appropriate.
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, manage multiple projects and maintain excellent attention to detail.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced governance professional to join our Governance Team. This is an excellent opportunity to apply and expand your skills in an organisation with a rich and multifaceted governance structure, as both a charity and a membership body. You will join a small, supportive team that works closely with the President and Officers, Board of Trustees, Council, CEO, the Executive Team, and the College’s boards and committees.
Following a significant governance review and the introduction of an updated Charter, Ordinances and Regulations in 2023, this is an exciting time to play a central role in strengthening our governance frameworks.
As Governance Manager, you will deliver high‑quality, professional and compliant governance services across the College, ensuring we meet our statutory duties and apply best practice consistently.
You will work collaboratively with a second Governance Manager, sharing duties equitably and flexibly. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing an in‑depth understanding of the College’s governing documents, procedures and working practices, and advising Officers and colleagues on governance matters.

Who we are:
BMSTC's mission is "to support the physical health and mental wellbeing of local people living with Multiple Sclerosis", not just now but for the rest of their lives.
We provide practical help - including neuro-physiotherapy, oxygen therapy, footcare, counselling and a range of complementary therapies to help manage symptoms. We also run very popular "live" online exercise and mindfulness sessions.
We are not just about therapies - we also offer a friendly, supportive space where members, families and carers can socialise, share information and take more control over their lives. Understanding that MS impacts not just the person diagnosed.
Our purpose-built Therapy Centre in central Reading serves and strengthens the MS community across Berkshire and nearby counties. As a self-funded charity, we receive neither NHS or government support and must raise £700,000 annually to continue making a difference to local families affected by MS. This year, we delivered over 15,000 treatments to more than 400 families and were honoured to receive a King's Award for Voluntary Service, equivalent to an MBE, in recognition of our service to the community.

About Working Well Trust
Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.
We are recruiting a IPS Employment Advisor to join our IPS service part time, you will be based in the borough of Newham, working 17.5 hours per week. Working Well Trust's services have previously been awarded the IPS Grow quality mark and adheres closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment.
Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.
You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. What you’ll be doing
You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.
You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led. You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.
What you’ll need
Experience in employment support is not essential. We are looking for someone who brings:

- Commitment to person-centred work and either experience of or enthusiasm to learn the IPS approach.

What the job involves
We’re looking for a Healthcare Improvement Senior Officer to join our Improvement Programmes Team, helping to deliver leadership programmes and quality improvement projects that support healthcare professionals to improve prostate cancer services across the UK. It’s a varied and rewarding role where no two days are quite the same.
Examples of projects supported include work around establishing better Active Surveillance so that more men can avoid unnecessary radical treatment; work to restructure and make faster the diagnostic pathway; work to coordinate with primary care and support earlier diagnosis; new surgical procedures that spare men the burden of incontinence. You’ll help design, deliver and facilitate improvement programmes, preparing materials, supporting participants and making sure recruitment runs smoothly and on time. You’ll lead on organising Clinical Advisory Group meetings, support our digital channels, including webpages and online learning resources, and take on ad hoc projects or events as necessary.
You’ll coordinate quality improvement projects, help schedule programmes, and work with colleagues across Prostate Cancer UK to increase the reach and impact of our work. Building strong relationships with programme alumni is an important part of the role, including developing newsletter content, sharing best practice and creating opportunities for continued involvement. You’ll also coach and mentor clinicians using Insights Discovery (a psychometric tool helping people understand their own and others' behavioural preferences and communication styles), helping to spread learning and improve care across services.
What we want from you
We’re looking for an effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills, able to adapt communication style for different audiences. Strong organisational skills are essential, with the ability to manage a varied workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. You’ll have experience managing webpages and creating engaging online content, as well as delivering presentations and facilitating productive conversations.
You’ll bring experience of project management and be comfortable coaching, mentoring and/or supporting peer-based learning. Building strong relationships will come naturally to you, whether that’s with clinicians, colleagues, senior leaders or external partners. You'll oversee the design and delivery of youth programmes, including procuring partners to help us run programmes that build confidence, skills, and pathways into education and employment for 16–30-year-olds in Birmingham.

St Peter’s Hospice is seeking a compassionate, experienced Team Lead to manage our Psychological Therapies team to deliver specialist psychological care for people affected by life‑limiting illness and bereavement. You will combine leadership and management with direct clinical practice.
It’s an exciting time to join the team as we develop our services to meet our strategic ambitions – leading, learning and innovating to deliver specialist palliative psychological support.
The role
- Provide day‑to‑day operational leadership and line management for our Psychological Therapies service, setting clear standards and fostering collaboration.
- As a qualified psychological therapist, you will hold a small clinical caseload, delivering evidence‑based one‑to‑one and group interventions, in person and virtually.
- Ensure the team are clinical governance (audit, investigations, KPIs) and safeguarding; contribute to service development and continuous improvement.
- Work as part of a multi‑disciplinarily team and with external health, social care and third‑sector organisations.
What we can offer you:
- Band 7 equivalent salary from £47,810 up to £54,710 per annum, dependent on experience, plus enhancements
- Working hours are 37.5 per week, Monday- Friday
- Permanent position

Location & working pattern:
Based at our Brentry site with travel across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire; remote working by agreement.
A full driving licence and access to a car required.
