The Role

This role will support the Financial Controller to deliver a high-quality payments and cash management service. The role of the Cash and Payments Manager is to oversee the Operational Finance team (3 people) and be responsible for managing, monitoring, and reporting on all cash transactions. You will manage cash management systems and processes, recommending and implementing any improvements to current processes and controls.

You will review and approve bi-weekly supplier/expenses payment runs ensuring that there is sufficient cash available and review, sample check and provide second stage approval for payment run files on the banking systems to ensure accurate payments.

The postholder will have strong leadership skills, a positive attitude and will take pride in getting a job done to the highest standards.  You will have the personal motivation to work in a fast-paced environment and be responsive to changing demands. 

What you will need to succeed

• A strong background in transactional finance – particularly accounts payable
• Experience of managing a small team
• Experience of process improvement

The successful candidate will be an ambitious fundraiser who can work independently within a small team when needed. You will have demonstrable experience in income generation and end to end development of campaigns, in retention or acquisition, or both.

This is a permanent role with a salary of £32k – £36k which offers hybrid working from their offices in Brixton (London) three days a week.

As the person flying the Data flag in the world of Tommy's, you will take accountability for maintaining, upgrading, and developing their fundraising database so that they can improve their donors' experience and communicate effectively with them. You will lead a team of two Database Officers and coach them to becoming a highly effective team.

As part of the role, you will develop strong relationships within the Fundraising team, helping to understand their needs. You will also develop and establish organisational ways of working with the database, including leading on training staff and developing a user manual to highlight good practice. As the data champion, you will be the main point of contact for data, reporting and analysis queries internally, delegating to the Database Officer as appropriate.

Ivy Rock Partners are pleased to be working with an outstanding housing association to recruit a Head of Rent Setting and Compliance to join their team.

This role is reporting directly to the Finance Director of Operations and the responsibilities will involve leading the rent-setting process and conducting thorough financial reviews.

This is a hybrid working role 1-2 days in the office based in Central London.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing technical advice to the organization and ensure that the organisation complies fully with the Rent Standard of the Regulator of Social Housing and individual rent agreements
• Ensuring the accuracy of financial information related to rent accounting
• Contacting customers related to the rent setting
• Being the lead responsible for the annual audit and Regulatory returns
• Leverage data analytics to identify inconsistencies and other issues and driving improvements in operational services and processes
• Being accountable for preparing rent budgets

You will:

• Be a CCAB qualified accountant with relevant sector experience
• Have a strong understanding of the housing regulatory framework for landlords with a particular focus on knowledge around the Rent Standard
• Have substantial hands-on technical expertise and the ability to cultivate strong working relationships with all relevant service providers, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Experienced in managing external and internal auditors
