This is a varied role which involves implementing Arthritis Action’s corporate fundraising strategy, with the aim of maximising income from corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and wellbeing programmes. You will be responsible for researching prospective corporate partners and building/maintaining the Charity’s pipeline of existing and potential partners.
Arthritis Action are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of implementing corporate fundraising strategies in line with an organisation’s vision, values, and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a track record of securing muti-year five and six-figure partnerships and be proactive to secure new business.

Key Responsibilities:

Person Specification:
· Strategic marketing planning experience, developing and leading multi-year customer communication plans, prioritising key initiatives and ensuring integrated campaign delivery across teams
· Significant experience of using data and insights to inform planning, and knowledge of a range of reporting and measurement tools
· Exceptional inter-personal and consultative skills, with experience of working with multiple stakeholders and a proven ability to work collaboratively to influence, negotiate and secure buy-in
· Knowledge of full campaign process from planning to briefing, creative development and production through to execution and measurement
· Excellent knowledge of audience research, analysis and segmentation tools and processes

In the past 18 months, The Trusts have been developing new approaches to funding nature’s recovery from the private sector, utilising novel revenue approaches such as nutrient neutrality credits and the voluntary carbon market amongst others. They have developed finance mechanisms to sit alongside these revenue streams such as a philanthropic loan system. They now want to scale up this work to help The Trusts and others to scale nature’s recovery across Wales. They need to turn policy into strong principles that allows us to develop guidelines and templates to help the Trusts across Wales access green finance.
Our client need dedicated expertise and capacity to work with the Trusts to bring this work into a coherent strategy, develop models and plans that build revenues for nature’s recovery allowing much greater investment. This post is designed to provide that expertise and capacity to work alongside those Trust staff that are already committed to developing these programmes.
Our client is the central charity which supports the federation of 46 independent Trusts working for nature’s recovery across the UK, Alderney and the Isle of Man. The Trusts’ vision is of a thriving natural world, with abundant wildlife and healthy natural habitats playing a valued role in addressing the climate and ecological emergencies, and everyone inspired to take action for nature’s recovery.
Collectively, The Trusts have more than 900,000 members, employ 3,500 staff, look after over 2,300 nature reserves, operate 123 visitor and education centres and own 29 working farms. The role of the trust is to ensure a strong voice for wildlife at a UK level and to provide strategic leadership, support and development for The Trusts. They provide shared expertise in areas such as climate change, digital fundraising, nature-based solutions, policy and safeguarding. They facilitate UK-wide communities of practice to share learning and replicate successful approaches so that together they are more than the sum of their parts. They support the individual Trusts to be a strong force for nature in their local areas and to work together to achieve even greater impact as a collective.
The Trusts are on a mission to bring about a people-powered nature and climate recovery by empowering people to take meaningful action for nature, and to create an inclusive society where nature matters to everyone, everywhere. Now, to achieve the level of funding needed to reverse nature’s decline, they need to diversify and increase their income by exploring new ways of funding such as innovative finance.
About You
You will be from a commercial background within private, public or charitable sector. You will have an entrepreneurial approach grounded by great commercial experience. They would expect an understanding of the green finance marketplace and that you are comfortable with legal and contract management. You will be a great communicator, with a personable style who can work with many different people across the wonderful variety of geography, business development, and activities of the Trusts.
You relish challenging the status quo and problem solving. This is a new and ambitious role which will evolve following your appointment so you should be excited by the flexibility and opportunities to take an innovative approach.

As Activities and Events Co-ordinator you:
- Will plan, co-ordinate and deliver an annual programme of relevant and accessible activities, classes, events, workshops
- Will work collaboratively with the charity’s service leads and partner organisations ensuring the annual programme of activities and events is co-ordinated and reflects all aspects of the charity’s objectives
- will effectively identify the needs and interests of local residents effectively using a variety of consultation tools including our database, completing surveys and through evaluation
- In collaboration with the Volunteer Co-ordinator you will supervise and support a team of volunteers supporting the programme of activities and event
- Will contribute to external reporting, funding applications and any ongoing monitoring and evaluation requirements.
In order to be successful, you must have experienced :
- Experience of working in a community setting delivering a range of successful activities and events
- Experience of developing and managing new and existing activities and events from initial planning to post evaluation
- Organisational, administrative and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver quality work to deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work comfortably under pressure within a busy environment
- Track record of creating, managing and working within established budgets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.

The Development Services Officer will focus on prospect research to advance the University’s philanthropic ambitions.
This role is offered on a permanent, full-time (part-time options available) basis paying a salary of £25,742 - £30,487 per annum. This is a hybrid role where you can work between home and Aberystwyth University.
Reporting to the Development Services Manager and collaborating across the DARO team, the Development Services Officer will work closely with an external research consultant and will use DARO’s CRM system and publicly available information, to identification, present, qualify and report on individuals and organisations with the capacity to become major donors to the University.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to carry out desk-based research and due diligence as well as reporting the results with appropriate recommendations in high quality written reports and in conversation with the DARO team. Understanding the principles of prospect research in a fundraising or sales setting will be essential.

The role raises unrestricted income from individuals by planning and executing the day-to-day campaigns to recruit, engage and retain supporters.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Creating, planning, delivering and evaluating multi-channel, insight-led, supporter-centric campaigns. This will include both acquisition and retention campaigns.
- Managing production of supporter material, including email acquisition & retention campaigns, social media posts, website content, print advertising, direct mail and inserts.
- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and liaise with external agencies and suppliers to effectively deliver projects and campaigns.
- Working with colleagues to identify individual stories that can be crafted into impactful content for use in contribution marketing campaigns.
- Innovation - Manage a continuous cycle of testing new channels and developing acquisition and retention for individual giving, based on audience insight and sector trends.
The successful candidate will have experience of;
- income generation from direct marketing campaigns (acquisition and/or retention) across a variety of offline and digital channels
- effective campaign copy writing
- project management to deliver acquisition or retention campaigns
- using databases for targeting, segmentation, testing and response analysis and how to apply these learnings to future campaigns
- managing and monitoring external suppliers and agencies

As the Data Assistant, you will manage end-to-end payment processes, including manual data entry, Direct Debit and card payments. Working accurately and efficiently, you will import and transfer data into the CRM, process gift amendments, and support the administration of income streams across the organisation.
