Together they have developed a bold, new collective strategy which outlines their vision and the actions they will take to restore nature over the next eight years. 

Central to their strategy are their three goals which set out what they are striving to achieve by 2030 in pursuit of their vision of a thriving natural world. Goal 1 is to put nature into recovery with abundant, diverse wildlife and natural processes creating wilder land and seascapes where people and nature thrive. Goal 2 is to inspire people to take action for nature and climate, resulting in better decision-making for the environment at both local level and across the four UK nations. And Goal 3 is to enable nature to play a central and valued role in helping to address local and global problems, such as by helping tackle climate change and supporting wellbeing and education. 

Achieving these ambitious objectives means that they must develop new ways of working which increase the scale and impact of their work. Therefore, they have embarked on a programme of strategic transformations that are essential to achieving their goals, and which will result in a stronger and more effective Trust movement for the long term. What the Major Gifts Officer will do:

• This role will be mostly focused on growing and maintaining a portfolio of low-level prospects and donors (c. 4- and 5-figure gifts) though targeted approaches and high-quality written applications.
• In addition to soliciting gifts for two capital projects, the role will also identify funding opportunities for other projects.
• Provide support to the Senior Stewardship Manager with stewardship activity, as well as Senior Major Gifts Fundraisers with major funding proposals where required.

Ideally the Major Gifts Officer will have experience of:

• Experience of working in fundraising for a charitable organisation with a proven ability of securing 4- or 5- figure+ gifts
• Excellent writing skills to produce high-quality applications and proposals and other fundraising communications
• The ability to identify new funding streams and generate and convert leads into gifts
• The ability to manage a high-volume pipeline of donors/prospects, while ensuring the CRM data on the pipeline is accurate and up-to-date

About the Role  

Under the direction of the Chief Executive, the Deputy Chief Executive (Operations and Services) will be responsible for the overall financial management, business reporting and operational services for the organisation. The person within this role will develop controls, policies and procedures that work for a variety of audiences including student volunteers, staff and trustees. They will lead on setting the strategic financial goals for the organisation and take a proactive role in supporting our performance towards these goals. The role will also support several departmental managers who deliver organisational services in the areas of finance, commercial and central services. You will be confident in providing high quality strategic advice to the Board of Trustees regarding the long-term future of the organisation as well as supporting the wider team with day-to-day functions and operations. 

We are looking for a dynamic leader who ideally has a relevant finance qualification or can demonstrate a high-level of job-related knowledge. You will also have good technical knowledge and hands-on experience of accounting software and finance systems.  You will excel in developing systems and processes and be able to ensure that these are embedded throughout the organisation, ensuring the continued financial strength of the organisation. You will be a motivational leader who understands the importance of teamwork, communication and striving to offer excellence. 

The successful candidate won’t necessarily need to come from the Higher Education sector, but you must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the trends and issues that affect our students. This will include assisting in the delivery of Chuf's in Memory Giving strategy through maintaining donors and providing fantastic stewardship. You'll also help the Director of Fundraising to achieve Chuf 's legacy strategy by maximising income generation through gifts in wills. First and foremost, you'll be a Chuf Fundraiser; making sure supporters receive first-class supporter care.

The role.

This is an exciting role that sits on the senior leadership team with a significant amount of autonomy for an outstanding fundraiser and leader who is interested in further developing a fundraising function to eventually deliver c.£1.8m fundraising income per annum.

They are at a crucial stage in the evolution of their fundraising. Opened in 2019, our Youth Zone is founded on the OnSide funding model whereby the first four years of revenue is made possible primarily by major donors – Founder Patrons – who each committed a minimum of £25k pa for four years.

Now as they enter year five, they seek the continuation of this support and are in the initial stages of diversifying their income sources. They have also secured significant ringfenced funding to expand the fundraising team, and the incoming Director of Fundraising will have significant scope to shape the team around their vision and strategy. Successful achievement of goals and a sound strategy will allow for further growth in future years in order to sustain, diversify and enhance income.

We are searching for exceptional relationship fundraisers who excel when driving their own portfolio of high-value support and leading by example.

One Small Thing has a commitment to systemic change for women and their children in the justice system, which has inspired them to build Hope Street, a brand-new, purpose-built residential community-based service, designed in collaboration with women, for justice-involved women and their children in Southampton, offering them access to education, practical and therapeutic support in safe, respectful trusting environment.

Responsible for ensuring financial controls, processes and systems are updated and effectively implemented, the Finance Manager will create accurate, regular reporting ensuring adequate financial forecasting, as well as ensuring that the organisation remains financially compliant, and they will be instrumental within the organisation in supporting scale and growth at Hope Street.

This is an exciting time for the charity and an excellent opportunity for a skilled Finance Manager who:

· Holds an acounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA) part or fully qualified or qualified by experience.

· Has strong budgeting/forecasting and at least two years financial & systems management experience, with experience of producing management accounts, budget planning and financial monitoring processes.

· Has experience of working in or with the not-for-profit sector and housing sector.

· Can demonstrate exceptional budgeting skills with experience of managing complex funding sources.

· Has highly developed interpersonal & team-working skills with a positive, flexible & can-do attitude, strong leadership & communication skills, with the ability to develop policies/procedures and convey complex financial control concepts to non-finance colleagues in both verbal and written format.

· Is resourceful, practical with an approach to problem-solving, with the ability to plan, prioritise and maintain efficiency during periods of pressure and high volume of work

You will have advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Sage Payroll software and of the benefits system, tax credits and universal credits.

Previous experience of the following would be an advantage, but is not essential as training can be provided:

· Knowledge of Charity accounts & SORP

· Knowledge of the Charity VAT landscape

· Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Senior Community and Events Fundraiser, an excellent opportunity to join a long-standing regional Hospice, with Head Office based in Surrey area.

As the Senior Community and Events Fundraiser, you will work with the Community and Events Lead, and be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the community and events fundraising plans and activities. Charity overview

The Amber Trust provides musical opportunities for blind and partially sighted children, including those with additional disabilities, via its Music Awards and Music Services.

Amber Music Awards fund instrumental and singing lessons, the purchase of musical instruments and specialist software, funding for concert tickets, and travel to musical activities for vision impaired children throughout the UK. In addition, there are structured programmes in its Music Services.

‘Little Amber’ is a service that offers music resources and quarterly sessions with a specially trained music practitioner to children under five and their families. ‘AmberPlus’ provides music resources and sessions offered on a termly basis to children over five who also have complex needs.’ ‘With Music in Mind’ is a new service for visually impaired children and young people with life-limiting neurodegenerative disease. Amber’s workshop scheme offers music sessions for groups of children in schools, charities and community organisations.

We have also developed extensive online music resources for teachers that are freely downloadable from anywhere in the world.

The Charity has a turnover of around £400k, employs a small central administrative team, and, for the music services, works through a large network of self-employed practitioners.

 Role purpose

The Chief Executive Officer is responsible to the Board of Trustees for leading The Amber Trust, developing and realising Amber’s vision and strategy, and playing a key ambassadorial role with funders and other senior stakeholders. The CEO is responsible for the management of the charity and its staff and the execution of Amber’s targets, plans and policies, ensuring that resources are used to best effect in meeting the needs of beneficiaries. The CEO is responsible for initiating and overseeing new initiatives that will ensure Amber plays a leading role in the field of music and blindness in children and young people into the future.

Role Description

Accountabilities: To develop, lead and manage The Amber Trust, in particular:

 Strategy

•      to develop and deliver innovative projects and services in accordance with Amber’s strategy.

• to ensure Amber flourishes, meeting all its charitable objectives and its legal obligations as a charity and a company limited by guarantee, and to honour its duty of care to its staff, beneficiaries and other stakeholders;

• to maintain Amber’s ethos of providing individual and personal support to beneficiaries and their families;

• to lead Amber in the development and implementation of its long- and medium-term strategy and annual business plans in accordance with the strategic direction and policy framework agreed by the Trustees;

Fundraising and events

• to attend, represent and promote Amber at meetings, conferences and other events, enhancing its profile across the UK – occasional evening and weekend work and travel may be required for this;

• to manage volunteers and liaise effectively with fundraisers and individual donors;
