Doorstep Library is a community-focused literacy charity dedicated to bringing the gift of books and the joy of reading into the homes of families across London. With one in four 11-year-olds leaving primary school unable to read or write properly, the charity introduces young children (aged 0-11 years) to the pleasure and benefits of reading.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

Key Accountabilities:
Organisational Strategy
- Develop a strong collaborative working relationship with the CEO, supporting with strategic decision-making and delivery.
- Support the CEO in the implementation of an Income and Engagement Strategy (working with the wider organisational strategy)
- Focus on donor recruitment, retention, stewardship and legacy fundraising (diversification is key).
Operations
· Fundraising and Marketing - Plan and deliver fundraising and marketing activities, including digital, to increase engagement and voluntary income via individual donors, clubs, associations, corporate organisations, fundraising events, Trust and Foundations funders and through legacy giving.
· Financial Responsibility - Grow income by careful targeting of the fundraising budget toward cost effective activities such as running appeals, securing legacies and grants, and working with major donors.
· Reporting & analysis - To take the lead in research activity to monitor, evaluate, inform and improve external stakeholder and influencer engagement with OneKind to identify new opportunities.
· People - Work closely with the wider team to ensure income generation is embedded within our policy and campaigns work.

An established housing provider is seeking an experienced Clerk of Works to support the delivery of major works and remediation projects across a residential portfolio.
The role provides on-site quality assurance, ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, building regulations, and recognised best practice. You’ll act as an independent quality presence on site, helping to drive compliance, raise standards, and resolve issues early.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake regular site inspections on major works and remediation schemes
- Monitor quality of workmanship and materials against drawings, specifications, and statutory requirements
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, fire safety standards, and approved details
- Identify defects, non-compliances, and quality risks, escalating issues where necessary

You will lead a talented team of seven which cover Fundraising (Memberships, Legacies, Grants, Trusts and Foundations and Philanthropy) and Marketing (Communications, Campaigns & Marketing).
A particular focus of this 12-month contract will be developing the fundraising strategy for a (£5-6m) capital campaign for the transformation of Shropshire Wildlife Trust’s Grade II and II* buildings, at the heart of Shrewsbury.
The job is full-time, but for the right candidate we would be willing to discuss part-time working with some external support on key areas.

The role
As Office Manager, you will ensure a safe, welcoming and well managed working environment. You will:
- Oversee office facilities, suppliers and contracts
- Manage daily office operations, post, security and maintenance
- Lead on Health & Safety compliance, including for home-workers
- Support DSE assessments and reasonable adjustments
- Maintain clear office processes and business continuity plans
- Support the upkeep of a small portfolio of non-office properties and liaise with tenants
- Lead the charity’s Green (Environmental) Team

- Manage office and property budgets

About You

- Significant experience in direct marketing fundraising (ideally in the charity sector)

- Experience using charity CRMs (e.g. Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire support
- Confidence working with data to inform strategy and decision making
- A resilient, proactive and collaborative approach
Desirable:
- Experience fundraising in a faith based setting
- Knowledge of the Catholic Church
