The Head of Philanthropy will lead and grow the high-value philanthropy strategy, driving both unrestricted and restricted income major donors, philanthropists and senior influencers. The postholder will take direct responsibility for the Founders Circle and other existing philanthropy programme while ensuring overall strategy and income growth is not overly dependent on any single initiative. Your key stakeholders will include Trustees, the Chief Executive, the Executive Director of Fundraising & Communications as well as many senior influencers as you shape compelling philanthropic opportunities for transformational giving.

The selected candidate will have extensive experience of delivering income against agreed targets and will also have extensive experience of managing and developing relationships with existing and potential philanthropists. Team management experience is essential, as will be experience of securing six figure gifts and the ability to communicate bespoke philanthropy opportunities for high value donors.

The Grants Coordinator is a key role within the ABCT team. They will work closely with the Team and Grants Coordinator to provide essential underpinning support for all aspects of the team's work, to ensure the effective delivery and recording of ABCT's grant-making programmes. The Grant Coordinator's work supports the Grants Managers and the work of the whole team.

Key responsibilities

• Grants Administration: Manage all aspects of the grants cycle, including applications, payments, reporting, and enquiries, while maintaining accurate records on Salesforce and liaising with suppliers and the Finance team.
• Database and website management: Maintain and enhance Salesforce grant management processes, ensure accurate data for reporting, and keep the Trust's website updated and effective.
• Office and team administration: Provide efficient administrative support for the team and board, including diary and travel management, process documentation, GDPR compliance, and assistance with projects and events.
• Be a supportive first point of contact for all who contact the organisation

The Grants Coordinator will need to be a team player who can work collaboratively and add value to the work. You will need to genuinely enjoy administration, be interested in ABCT's priority areas, and like building relationships. You will have emotional intelligence, and will enjoy being part of a small, friendly team. You will need experience of working with a range administrative systems and processes, be a good communicator and team player, and be flexible, organised, and have a demonstrable passion for our work. ABCT are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have a connection to the kinds of organisations and groups they fund and/or personal experience of the priority areas.

The role is 21 hours per week. ABCT are flexible about how these hours are worked, such as over 3 days or spread over 5 days. The team are in the office on Tuesdays so this will need to be one of your working days. The office is based on Bloomsbury St (WC1B 3SR). The role is subject to satisfactory references and a basic DBS check.

This role will focus on delivering new partnerships with corporate businesses, and raising vital funds to continue invaluable lifelong support for all stroke survivors, just like Leighton.

The Role

As a Partnerships Officer you will build long lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with community organisations. The role will be focused on both developing new strategic partnerships and stewarding existing relationships. The main responsibilities will include:

We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic person with excellent communication and relationship building skills. You should be excited by the prospect of building a new pipeline and portfolio of partnerships and be confident stewarding relationships with various community organisations.

You must be able to work flexibly to maximise opportunities across, and have the initiative and ability to work with autonomy. Previous experience in fundraising is desirable; however, we are also keen to speak with people who also have the knowledge and experience in building relationships and are keen to transfer this skillset into the rewarding world of fundraising!

The Role

The Major Gifts Manager will work closely with the Head of Individual Giving & Major Gifts to provide support on all gifts at £12,000 and above. The role combines face-to-face fundraising of the annual Major Donor levels of Artistic Director’s Circle and Avant Guardians, implementing the strategy to recruit further support at these levels as well as supporting recruitment at the Major Project Support level which begins at £50,000. There is regular and proactive collaboration with development department colleagues and the wider Sadler’s Wells team to deliver a dynamic programme of donor cultivation and stewardship.
 

What are my responsibilities?

Fundraising

• Manage the annual Major Gifts programme (Avant-Guardians and Artistic Director’s Circle), overseeing stewardship, retention and recruitment as well as the implementation of the five-year fundraising strategy of this income area.

• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with own portfolio of major donors as the ‘Primary Worker’

• Work with the Head of Individual Giving & Major Gifts to deliver special fundraising events for cultivating and stewarding Major Project Supporters and annual Major Gifts Supporters.

• Work with the Head of Individual Giving & Major Gifts to identify and cultivate Major Project Supporter prospects from current Sadler’s Wells donors.

• Support on administration of Major Project Support, including writing reports, gift agreements and stewardship touchpoints with donors.

• Along with other team members, support administration of Sadler’s Wells America, our 501 (c)(3) US entity.

• Build strong relationships with other departments and project teams to foster a deep understanding of, fluency with, and confidence in talking about the work and vision of Sadler’s Wells and related disciplines.
• Recognise and exploit key crossovers exist between all income areas (e.g. Individual Giving/Corporate Giving/Sponsorship/Trusts and Foundations) and liaise with colleagues as appropriate to ensure best results.

• Attend regular Development evening events as necessary.

• Network and gain knowledge across the fundraising spectrum.

Management and Administration
 

• Line Management and development of the Major Gifts Officer including carrying out annual reviews and objective setting.

• Ensure the team maintain accurate financial records and cultivation and stewardship plans.

• Ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant legislation and regulations.

• Keep abreast of developments in fundraising best practice, new funding programmes and legislation and contribute to any changes in procedures and practices as appropriate.

• Represent Sadler’s Wells at external meetings and events.

The Recovery House is a brand new, exciting and innovative service for our lient and is an opportunity to create a flagship standard of support and care for those in mental health crisis. The Recovery House is commissioned by the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust and is part of their Urgent Care pathway. Working closely with the Recovery House Team, the role is pivotal to the effective and safe delivery of the service.

About the role:

The role of Recovery Support Worker will work as part of a team in our regulated services and is an important role for the delivery of recovery-based and prevention services. The role will be central to the smooth running of the 24/7 service provided by Recovery House.

You will support the Waking Night team of Recovery Support Workers in providing a continuous and safe delivery of support, always ensuring high quality and person-centred care. Ensuring that compliance and adherence to CQC standards is upheld and provide appropriate information to managers. You will work in a person-centred way alongside colleagues an NHS clinical partners to de-escalate mental health crisis and help service users to return home and be pivotal in the provision of a welcoming, calm and safe environment.

The Recovery Support Worker will support the team in mobilising the service and work in a way that conforms with the expectations of the CQC, NHS and our clients standards. You will take an active part in all appropriate meetings and create and implement service user assessments and support practices.  

About you

You will need to be skilful in quickly developing strong relationships with users of the service and able to support the de-escalation of crisis and the provision of a calm and supportive environment; delivering person centred interventions.

Ouir client is looking for someone who is experienced in delivering services in a CQC regulated residential or supported living environment, who has experience of working in partnership with key stakeholders and partner organisations. You will be knowledgeable in and committed to the “Recovery Model "of mental health support and be experienced in delivering person centred care. You will be able to provide a caring and compassionate care to service users, with the ability to provide and maintain a high-quality environment at short notice.

This role will involve working on a rota, including some evenings and weekends.
