This is an exciting opportunity to work in the new Refuge led Mimram Gender based Abuse Support Service, which brings together a partnership of highly experienced specialist organisations to deliver integrated, survivor centred support to people experiencing multiple forms of gender-based abuse across Hertfordshire.
The service is built on decades of collective expertise in supporting victim/survivors from diverse communities and across all risk levels. By working collaboratively within a single, coordinated service model, partner organisations are strengthening access to specialist advocacy, community-based support and outreach, with referrals managed through a single point of access via One Front Door.
Our Partnership
The service is delivered by Refuge, Safer Places, and SAHWR, all of whom have been longstanding providers of Hertfordshire’s IDVA and community based Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) services. Together, our organisations bring extensive experience of supporting victim/survivors across all forms of VAWG, including domestic abuse, sexual violence and harmful practices.
The partnership is further strengthened by Asian Women’s Resource Centre (AWRC), a by and for organisation led by minoritised women, with over 45 years’ experience delivering specialist VAWG services. New to Hertfordshire, AWRC brings additional expertise in culturally specific support, community engagement, professional training and needs led service development. AWRC and Refuge also draw on their established partnership delivering Pan London floating support services.
