Role Purpose
This is a new role. Stand-by-me is seeking an experienced Director to effectively lead and manage the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective continued delivery of the charity’s aims, providing strong, strategic leadership and operational management, focussing on enhancing fundraising capacity and developing a robust organisation strategy. This role will also serve as the public representative of the organisation and will report directly to the Board of Trustees.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Development:
· Conduct a rapid assessment of the charity’s current strategic plan and identify key areas for improvement.
· Lead the development of a revised or updated strategic framework, focusing on sustainability, growth, and impact.
· Work collaboratively with the Board of Trustees and Clinical staff to define clear strategic priorities and measurable outcomes.
· Provide clear and concise report to the Board on progress against strategic objectives.
· Manage and coordinate research projects and feasibility studies including budgeting, resourcing, scheduling, tracking and ensuring quality assurance.
2. Income Generation and Financial Management:
· Conduct a rapid, comprehensive review of existing fundraising activities and identify opportunities for growth and diversification.
· Develop and implement a short and long-term fundraising strategy to maximise income generation.
· Monitor and report on grants and funding.
· Lead and motivate our volunteer community fundraising team providing guidance and support to achieve specified targets.
· Cultivate and strengthen relationships with major donors, trusts, foundations, patronage, and corporate partners.
· Explore and develop new fundraising streams, including regular giving, digital fundraising, innovative partnerships and legacies.
· Working with the team, develop compelling funding proposals and grant applications.
· Improve fundraising reporting and analysis to track performance and inform decision-making.
3. Operational Management:
· Provide effective line management to the team and volunteers to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
· Effectively delegate tasks to team members including promoting self organisation.
· Work with the Finance Trustee to oversee financial management, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices for budgeting.
· Manage risk and ensure the charity's compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
· Represent the charity to external stakeholders, building and maintaining positive relationships.
· Ensure effective communication and engagement with staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries.
· Work with Safeguarding Trustee and external Supervisors on any clinical or safeguarding issues as they arise.
· Conduct annual appraisals to monitor and evaluate staff performance.
4. Board Engagement/Governance:
· Act as the primary point of contact between the Board of Trustees.
· Provide regular updates to the Board on organisational performance including operational and strategic matters.
· Ensure the organisation’s compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies to support the Board in its governance role by providing advice and information as needed.
· Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the Trustee Board, staff and volunteers.

Join Single Homeless Project (SHP) as a Senior Outreach Worker and take a leading role in our response to rough sleeping across Redbridge. This is frontline work with purpose - combining assertive outreach, strong local partnerships and trauma-informed practice to help people move away from the streets for good. You’ll be part of a committed, values-driven team working closely with housing, health, substance use and immigration services to create real opportunities for change.
As a Senior Outreach Worker, you’ll lead outreach shifts across the borough, offering direction, reassurance and momentum to a team of Outreach Workers while holding a focused caseload of people facing complex challenges. Working in close partnership with Navigators, you’ll help ensure each person’s journey off the streets is joined-up, consistent and grounded in trust. You’ll balance hands-on engagement with thoughtful coordination, modelling best practice and keeping people at the centre of every decision.

- You stay grounded under pressure, think clearly when situations are complex, and are driven by a strong sense of social justice that aligns with SHP’s values of hope, inclusion and transformation.

Headway Gloucestershire was established in 1987 and since then we have been working to make a positive difference to the lives of adults with an acquired brain injury. We provide specialist recovery support and respite through our centre-based Day Service, and outreach support through our Community Hubs and Community Links Service. We provide group and one to one sessions to support individuals.
Open every weekday, Headway House is at the heart of Headway Gloucestershire. We provide a structured programme of activities for individuals to choose from. Our programme is designed to support participants to work toward their own recovery goals and gain insight into strategies that support individuals to manage the physical, cognitive, sensory, emotional and behavioural outcomes which can occur following an acquired brain injury. Peer group sessions enable us to harness the recovery benefits of peer contact and support.
The Day Lead will be responsible for the organisation, planning, development and delivery of Headway Gloucestershire’s programme of activities.
Responsibilities include:
- To deliver professional, impartial, enabling and outcome focused support to Individuals with acquired brain injury. To provide support for clients with complex needs to support their recovery, wellbeing, independence and autonomy.
- Work closely with the Strategic Enablement and Hub Manager to ensure successful delivery of services.
- Networking with community providers to enrich our offer to enable us to meet the needs of individuals with acquired brain injury in Gloucestershire.
- The Day Lead will be responsible for the organisation, planning, development and delivery of Headway Gloucestershire’s activity programme and centre-based service.
- Ensure that safeguarding training and understanding is kept current and that individuals are safeguarded.
- Collaborate with staff members and volunteers to provide Key-working to individuals: - to use an enabling approach to support individuals to plan and work toward their recovery goals ensuring that planned activities are delivered and support provided is tailored to meet the needs of individuals to maximise our contribution to their recovery.
Carrying out the role at Headway House, you will work to clearly established quality standards and annual milestones. You will be joining a motivated and dynamic team of staff and volunteers working to making a difference to individuals with acquired brain injury in Gloucestershire.

You will enable older and vulnerable people experiencing multiple disadvantage in high rise accommodation to 'age well in place' through one-to-one casework within a managed caseload and with supervisory support from a GP Fellow. AWiPiH takes a preventative and proactive approach to wellbeing including health promotion, improved access to social care, housing adaptations, signposting on welfare rights, income maximisation and social participation. This role requires a person-centred and solution-focused approach to supporting people experiencing multiple and complex issues.
You will have a hybrid working arrangement including some working from home; some working based at a local GP practice; and on-site working across two neighbouring accommodation blocks in Hulme, central Manchester.

About SCEC
SCEC was founded over twenty years ago to provide learning enrichment opportunities to primary school children in disadvantaged communities in south London. Together with our partners, several leading independent schools, we currently operate four schemes in math, literacy, science and art. Your Role
The Scheme Director is a newly created role that will be pivotal in helping SCEC extend its reach. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will help SCEC design and implement an expansion programme as well as coordinating the delivery of the existing schemes via our school partners. You will also serve as a trusted partner to the Board in the administration of the charity.
Similar to a COO, this role straddles the operational and the strategic. We are looking for a confident communicator and relationship builder who can work across varied stakeholder groups. What the job involves
We’re looking for a Healthcare Improvement Senior Officer to join our Improvement Programmes Team, helping to deliver leadership programmes and quality improvement projects that support healthcare professionals to improve prostate cancer services across the UK. It’s a varied and rewarding role where no two days are quite the same.
Examples of projects supported include work around establishing better Active Surveillance so that more men can avoid unnecessary radical treatment; work to restructure and make faster the diagnostic pathway; work to coordinate with primary care and support earlier diagnosis; new surgical procedures that spare men the burden of incontinence. You’ll help design, deliver and facilitate improvement programmes, preparing materials, supporting participants and making sure recruitment runs smoothly and on time. You’ll lead on organising Clinical Advisory Group meetings, support our digital channels, including webpages and online learning resources, and take on ad hoc projects or events as necessary.
You’ll coordinate quality improvement projects, help schedule programmes, and work with colleagues across Prostate Cancer UK to increase the reach and impact of our work. Building strong relationships with programme alumni is an important part of the role, including developing newsletter content, sharing best practice and creating opportunities for continued involvement. You’ll also coach and mentor clinicians using Insights Discovery (a psychometric tool helping people understand their own and others' behavioural preferences and communication styles), helping to spread learning and improve care across services.
What we want from you
We’re looking for an effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills, able to adapt communication style for different audiences. Strong organisational skills are essential, with the ability to manage a varied workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. You’ll have experience managing webpages and creating engaging online content, as well as delivering presentations and facilitating productive conversations.
You’ll bring experience of project management and be comfortable coaching, mentoring and/or supporting peer-based learning. Building strong relationships will come naturally to you, whether that’s with clinicians, colleagues, senior leaders or external partners. You’ll have a good understanding of the healthcare and/or charity sectors and the pressures faced by healthcare services.

How and where we work

The Digital Marketing Executive will play a key role in growing the charity’s online presence, engaging many more beneficiaries and supporters, and generating income through creative, high quality digital content and supporter-focused campaigns. Working closely with the Head of Engagement & Development, the postholder will support the planning, management and optimisation of the charity’s digital marketing and communication activities.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys combining creativity and innovation with advanced digital analytics. You’ll play a key role in supporting and delivering the charity’s marketing and communications strategy and enabling the charity to grow its reach. You will ensure that our social media channels, website, SEO and email activities are effective, on-brand, and accessible. Most importantly, you will create awareness activities that convert, engagement activities that retain and ensure each segment of our community receives the greatest online experience from their interaction with Actors’ Trust.

We are recruiting a part time Transport Lead to join our new initiative: Live Longer Better in an Age Friendly Hertfordshire where your skills can make a meaningful impact within local communities. This post is for 21 hours per week and will be hosted by North Herts and Stevenage CVS.
This pivotal role within the programme team supports the effective delivery of our work within local places so that more people across the county can enjoy their later life.
Working under the programme Lead and working closely with the programme team you will take responsibility in ensuring that the local delivery plans are implemented, working with the wider stakeholders in the local community.
You will work on key actions, such as working with transport providers on support of bus shelter upgrades, leading on the chatty bus campaign, supporting the implementation of age friendly training for bus drivers and improving access to transport information, as well as other forms of transport including community transport schemes. In addition, you will play a key role with the programme communications and working with local communities, including overseeing and maintaining our approach to keeping contact with members, responding to enquiries and requests, coordinating events and email communications.
You will be responsible for day-to-day delivery of the local action plan, working independently while maintaining strong communication with the programme team and working with the locality leads on issues raised via local information gathering which highlights a broader, county wide related issue. You will support ongoing review and development of processes as the programme evolves, ensuring our approach remains effective and responsive.

The Head of Fundraising and Communications will lead the development and delivery of a systematic, data-driven, and project-managed approach to fundraising and communications — driving sustainable income growth and raising the charity’s profile and influence.
This role is first and foremost a fundraising leadership role. As the charity’s strategic lead for fundraising, they will shape and expand our income streams, strengthen systems and processes, and build a high-performing team to help us reach more young people with our vital work. Fundraising

This is an exciting and pivotal leadership role at the heart of Kinship’s digital transformation. You’ll lead a talented and ambitious team to deliver and develop live digital services, accessible content and user-centred products that kinship carers rely on to access support.
This role does not own all services delivered through digital channels. It owns selected shared digital products while also enabling teams across Kinship to deliver their work effectively through digital platforms, content and journeys, while teams retain ownership of their services and outcomes. You’ll provide leadership on standards, user experience, accessibility and innovation.
Context:
Kinship is expanding its reach and digital capabilities, and our digital platforms are central to how we deliver services at scale. In 2024, we launched a new website bringing together all content and services under one home, and introduced Kinship Compass, a postcode search tool that helps kinship carers find relevant local and national support.
Alongside this, we have been developing a new AI-powered tool to help kinship carers access trusted information quickly and accurately, 24/7. You will lead the evolution of these digital services ensuring they are safe, ethical, resilient and data-informed, and that innovation is always grounded in reliability, safeguarding and user trust.
You’ll play a key role in the Department for Education funded national Training and Support Service, ensuring kinship carers can easily access and book high-quality training through our digital platforms.
You’ll oversee content design in collaboration with internal and external subject experts and kinship carers themselves and lead the digital and content streams for Kinship Minds, including the development and delivery of our e-learning platform and curriculum.
This role sits at the intersection of digital service delivery, product development and content design. At Kinship, content design is distinct from communications or marketing. It focuses on designing clear, accessible and trauma-informed information, learning content and user journeys that enable kinship carers to understand their options, make decisions and access support. Content is treated as part of the service itself and is central to the quality, safety and effectiveness of our digital platforms.
This is a role for a digital leader who is both strategic and operationally grounded. You’ll balance innovation with delivery, experimentation with governance, and ambition with accountability. You’ll champion inclusive, accessible and co-produced design, ensuring digital products support real-world service delivery and improve outcomes for kinship families.
You will work closely with colleagues in the Communications and Policy team (who sit in a separate department and lead external communications, campaigns and social media) and who own the external communications strategy. You will ensure clear alignment while retaining a distinct focus on digital service innovation, product development and content design.
What you'll be doing:
Digital leadership and strategy
- Lead the Digital and Content Design team, setting clear priorities and building a culture of high performance, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Own and deliver Kinship’s digital strategy and product roadmap, covering the website, Kinship Compass, Kinship Minds, the AI tool and other digital services, excluding marketing and social media.
- Provide digital leadership across Kinship, strengthening capability and effective cross-organisational working.
- Lead responsible digital innovation, ensuring AI and emerging technology are used where they clearly improve service delivery, accessibility and user experience.
- Take accountability for digital budgets, agency relationships and delivery against agreed outcomes, timescales and quality standards.
- Horizon scan and translate external digital developments into practical, service-led improvements for Kinship.
- Contribute to organisational planning, reporting and income generation linked to digital innovation.
Website, content and digital product development
- Lead the ongoing development and innovation of Kinship’s digital platforms to ensure they are user-centred, accessible and continuously improved.
- Oversee the content strategy and governance for Kinship’s website, Kinship Compass and new e-learning platform.
- Work with internal colleagues to improve our workshop booking system.
- Ensure a consistent content design approach across all digital platforms, grounded in user need, plain English, trauma-informed practice and continuous testing and improvement.
- Lead the content design team to develop content for strategic projects working collaboratively with subject experts and kinship carers.
- Work closely with Advice and Training teams to ensure digital platforms and content design support service delivery, quality standards and DfE contract requirements.
- Develop an excellent understanding of end-to-end audience experience and how the website, online content and digital products can drive effective online services and enhance the kinship ecosystem. Map the user journeys across our website and digital products leaving no dead ends.
- Ensure integration across all platforms (e.g. website, telephony, Salesforce, Kinship Minds) to create seamless user journeys for kinship carers and internal teams.
- Embed meaningful participation and co-production with kinship carers in digital service and content development.
- Drive accessibility and inclusion, ensuring our digital services reach and work for all kinship carers, including those with lower digital literacy.
- Ensure strong digital governance, accessibility, documentation and use of insight to continuously improve performance and impact.
- Oversee SEO, analytics and data-driven optimisation to improve engagement, performance and impact.
